Obama Judge Strikes Down Bill That Protects Babies With Down Syndrome

A federal judge has struck down an Indiana law that would ban abortions sought because of fetal genetic abnormalities, protecting unborn babies from discrimination based on their sex, race or abilities.

According to The Indy Channel, U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt found the law to be “unconstitutional” and granted an order that that would block it from being enforced.

The order stems from a suit filed in April 2016, when Judge Pratt halted the law at the request of Planned Parenthood.

The law itself made Indiana the second state in the U.S. to effectively ban abortions of babies with Down syndrome or another genetic disorder, and also had other “requirements” regarding the abortion process.

House Bill 1337 included in its non-discrimination ban the requirement to have aborted or miscarried bodies “cremated or buried and another requirement that abortionists who have hospital admitting privileges renew them annually.”

However, Pratt argues this law, particularly the inability to abort due to a genetic abnormality, goes against a woman’s right to her body.

“The lack of authority supporting the state’s position likely stems from the fact that it is contrary to the core legal rights on which a woman’s right to choose to terminate her pregnancy prior to viability are predicated,” Pratt wrote.

According to Courthouse News, she also “struck down another provision dictating how the remains of a fetus are to be handled” on the grounds that they should “be treated the same way under law as the remains of a deceased person.”

Abortion is one of the most common medical procedures performed in America every year. Elective abortions allow that procedure to dictate whether a baby with a disability will, or will not be, welcomed into this world.

As Good Housekeeping suggests, “two-thirds of pregnancies undergo prenatal testing as early as 11 weeks,” so women have more of a choice as to whether they will end the pregnancy. It further adds, in the specific case of disabilities, “most choose to terminate.”

It also acknowledges that from 1995 to 2011, “roughly 67 to 85 percent of pregnancies with a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome were aborted.”

“As a result, elective pregnancy terminations have meant 30 percent fewer babies were born with Down syndrome in the U.S.,” according to a 2015 study.

Yet life expectancy of people with Down Syndrome has increased — quite dramatically — from 1960 when, on average, they would live to be only about 10 years old.

By 2007, persons with Down syndrome lived (on average) to be about 47 years old.

Yet, Pratt, who has a history of siding with the abortion lobby, insists this law violates a woman’s right to free choice, and many others agree with her.

“Every person deserves the right to make their own personal decisions about abortion. There is no medical basis for these restrictions,” said Christie Gillespie, President and CEO of PPINK.

Pro-lifers strongly disagree.

“We are deeply disappointed that Planned Parenthood can discriminate against unborn children and target them for abortion,” said Mike Fichter, President and CEO of Indiana Right to Life and one of the many voices against Pratt’s decision.

“It’s a shame that Planned Parenthood cares more about their bottom line than recognizing the worth of children with Down syndrome,” he said.

“We urge Attorney General Curtis Hill to appeal.”

It is not clear yet if the state will, in fact, appeal Pratt’s ruling. (For more from the author of “Obama Judge Strikes Down Bill That Protects Babies With Down Syndrome” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/09/obama-judge-strikes-bill-protects-babies-syndrome/

Why Trump’s Appeals Court Nominees Are Backed up in the Senate

President Donald Trump’s nominations for judgeships on federal courts have been excellent so far, and his just-announced nominees to fill four appeals court vacancies in Texas and Louisiana are no exception.

The four are among a slate of new judicial nominations rolled out Thursday by the president as he makes steady progress toward filling more than 160 current and future vacancies on the federal courts.

While Trump announces more and more outstanding nominees, they are, unfortunately, piling up in the Senate. The chamber has confirmed only seven judges (including Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch) this year.

Part of the problem is the Senate Judiciary Committee’s policy, known as “blue slips,” which asks the two senators from a nominee’s home state for their opinion before the committee holds a hearing or further evaluates the nominee.

Senators select “I approve” or “I object” on a blue slip of paper. The president has the power to appoint judges—with the advice and consent of the Senate—but under this 100-year-old tradition, a single senator may be able to bring a confirmation to a crashing halt.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, should not let this obstruction continue. Instead, he should ditch the blue-slip practice for appellate nominees.

Before specifying earlier judicial nominees who are yet to be confirmed, often because of blue slips, let’s look at Trump’s four new nominees to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals:

1. Kyle Duncan is a seasoned attorney in private practice in Washington, D.C. He served as Louisiana’s first solicitor general and general counsel for Becket Law when the firm represented Hobby Lobby in its challenge to Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate. Duncan has argued cases in more than 30 federal and state appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Duncan, who also was a professor at the University of Mississippi School of Law, is the president’s pick for a Louisiana seat on the 5th Circuit. Louisiana’s two senators are Republicans Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy.

2. Kurt Engelhardt, chief judge of the Eastern District of Louisiana, has served as a district court judge since his nomination by President George W. Bush in 2001. Prior to that, he was in private practice. Engelhardt made headlines for taking the Obama Justice Department to task for leaking grand jury information while prosecuting police officers who shot six unarmed individuals in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Trump nominated him to fill another Louisiana seat.

3. Don Willett is a justice on the Texas Supreme Court who is known as the “Tweeter Laureate of Texas” for his entertaining social media presence. Despite this playful side, Willett is a thoughtful jurist with more than a decade of experience on the bench. Willett was included on Trump’s list of potential Supreme Court nominees—and he earned a spot on The Heritage Foundation’s list as well. He is the president’s choice for a vacancy in Texas, which has two Republican senators, John Cornyn and Ted Cruz.

4. James Ho, a partner at the Dallas office of Gibson Dunn, previously served as solicitor general of Texas. In that post, he received two Best Brief Awards from the National Association of Attorneys General. Ho also served in the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel during the George W. Bush administration, and clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas. He is slated to fill another Texas seat.

While we don’t expect these four nominees to the Texas and Louisiana seats on the 5th Circuit to face blue-slip problems, the same cannot be said of all the other nominees announced earlier this year.

Here’s a look at 10 nominees for federal judgeships who are waiting for a Senate hearing or vote:

1. Stephanos Bibas, a professor of law and criminology at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, was nominated to the 3rd Circuit in June. Bibas is one of our nation’s leading criminal law experts, and runs a clinic at U Penn for students to participate in Supreme Court cases. Pennsylvania has one Democrat senator, Bob Casey Jr., and one Republican, Pat Toomey. Bibas’ hearing before the Judiciary Committee is scheduled for Oct. 4, so he has cleared potential blue-slip hurdles.

2. Joan Larsen is a Michigan Supreme Court justice nominated to the 6th Circuit. After some delay, likely influenced by the fact that she is on Trump’s list of potential Supreme Court nominees, Michigan’s two Democrat senators, Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters, returned their blue slips. Larsen, a former clerk to the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, appeared before the Judiciary Committee for a Sept. 6 confirmation hearing and awaits a committee vote.

3. Michael Brennan, an attorney in private practice in Milwaukee, was nominated in August for the 7th Circuit. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, a Democrat, announced that she is “extremely troubled” by Trump’s “partisan approach” in not deferring to Wisconsin’s judicial selection committee. Ron Johnson, a Republican, is Wisconsin’s other senator.

4. Amy Coney Barrett, a law professor at Notre Dame, also was named to the 7th Circuit. While Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., dragged his feet over the summer, he eventually joined Sen. Todd Young, R-Ind., in returning the blue slip. You may recall that at Barrett’s confirmation hearing in September, Democrats asked inappropriate questions about her Catholic faith. She awaits a committee vote.

5. David Stras, a Minnesota Supreme Court justice, was nominated in May to the 8th Circuit. Sen. Amy Klobuchar issued a statement calling for a hearing for Stras (though she wouldn’t have picked him), but her fellow Minnesota Democrat, Sen. Al Franken, announced he would not return his blue slip. Franken said Stras “would be a deeply conservative jurist in the mold of Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia.” Stras is also on Trump’s short list for the Supreme Court.

6. Steve Grasz, a lawyer in private practice in Omaha, Nebraska, previously served in the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, where his cases included defending the state’s partial-birth abortion ban before the Supreme Court. Grasz was nominated to the 8th Circuit in August. The state’s senators, Ben Sasse and Deb Fischer, are both Republicans.

7. Ryan Bounds, a federal prosecutor in Oregon, is a nominee for the 9th Circuit. He worked in George W. Bush’s Office of Legal Counsel and clerked for a conservative powerhouse, Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain. Sens. Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, both Democrats, had another individual in mind for the vacancy, so they informed the White House they intended to block Bounds’ confirmation.

8. Allison Eid is a Colorado Supreme Court justice and nominee to the 10th Circuit seat vacated by Gorsuch. Also on Trump’s Supreme Court list, she previously served as Colorado’s solicitor general and is a former clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas. Her confirmation hearing was in September, and she awaits a committee vote.

9. Lisa Branch, a Georgia state court judge, was nominated to the 11th Circuit in September. She is another Bush administration alum, having served in both the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of Management and Budget. Georgia’s senators, David Perdue and Johnny Isakson, are both Republicans.

10. Greg Katsas, deputy White House counsel, was nominated for the D.C. Circuit. Formerly a partner at the D.C.-based law firm Jones Day, Katsas has argued cases before the Supreme Court, including the first Obamacare challenge, NFIB v. Sebelius. He held several posts in the Justice Department during the Bush administration and also clerked for Thomas. Since no senators represent the District of Columbia, he doesn’t need to worry about blue slips.

We applaud the president’s selection of these tremendous individuals for vacancies on the federal appeals courts.

But they are just the tip of the iceberg. With more than 160 vacancies to fill, senators need to stop stonewalling and get to work confirming these highly qualified, conservative nominees. It Begins: Feds Demand Facebook Hand Over Info on Political Activists

Through a trio of search warrants, the Department of Justice (DOJ) is demanding Facebook hand over the personal information of potentially 6,000 of its users, it was revealed Thursday.

According to CNN, which obtained court documents pertaining to the case, the DoJ warrants target the accounts of three “anti-administration activists who have spoken out at organized events, and who are generally very critical of this administration’s policies.”

That description comes from the three users’ attorneys, CNN reports. It all stems from arrests made in Washington, D.C. on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration back in January, following what the government claims were riots.

The warrants were served to Facebook in February, but a gag order prevented the social media giant from alerting the three users to the government’s intentions until the order was lifted in mid-September.

Once alerted, the users contacted the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which now represents them.

“What is particularly chilling about these warrants is that anti-administration political activists are going to have their political associations and views scrutinized by the very administration they are protesting,” the ACLU’s Scott Michelman told CNN.

One of the warrants is for Emmelia Talarico, who ran the disruptj20 page where much of the anti-Trump protesting was organized. The other two are for Facebook users Lacy MacAuley and Legba Carrefour.

If Facebook complies with the DoJ’s request, it will mean the federal government will have access to the personal data — including private messages — of the nearly 6,000 users who simply “liked” the disruptj20 page.

In the ACLU’s motion to quash the warrants, filed with the D.C. Superior Court on Thursday, Michelman notes the type of data the government is seeking to obtain. From one of the warrants:

All profile information; News Feed information; status updates; links to videos, photographs, or other web content; Notes; Wall postings; Comments; Friend lists, including the friends’ Facebook user ID numbers; goups and networks joined by the Account, including the Facebook group ID numbers; event postings; and pending and rejected ‘Friend’ requests.

He sums it all up as such:

In short, the warrants sought a complete record of anything the three users communicated or received from a third party via Facebook, everyone with whom the users associated via Facebook, and everything the users searched for on Facebook, during the specified time period.

That time period is from November of 2016, just before the presidential election, and February 9 of this year, when the warrants were served to Facebook.

In addition to what the ACLU sees as a clear violation of their clients’ First Amendment protections, Michelman warns in the motion of the precedent that would be set:

Additionally, the enforcement of the warrants would chill future online communications of political activists and anyone who communicates with them, as they will learn from these searches that no Facebook privacy setting can protect them from government snooping on political and personal materials far removed from any proper law enforcement interest.

The ACLU also argues that there are no safeguards in the warrants to protect the privacy of those who ultimately had nothing to do with those “riots” back in January. They assert that the DoJ’s action violates Fourth Amendment protections against illegal search and seizure.

Facebook has yet to say whether it will comply with the government’s order, and the DoJ, as CNN writes, “is not commenting on these search warrants. Kaepernick Donated $25k to Group Honoring Convicted Cop Killer

Colin Kaepernick’s $25,000 donation to a charitable group honoring a convicted cop killer has been revealed.

Kaepernick’s foundation made the donation to Chicago-based Assata’s Daughter’s, named after former Black Liberation Army member Assata Shakur, in April as part of a $1million charitable pledge.

Shakur was convicted of first-degree murder in the 1973 shooting death of New Jersey state trooper Werner Foerster and sentenced to life in prison, but staged a daring jailbreak and now lives as a fugitive in Cuba.

Kaepernick, who is well known for his protests against police during the national anthem as a former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, made the donation as part of his pledge to donate $100,000 a month for 10 months to ‘organizations working in oppressed communities’. Steelers Player Announces Plan for National Anthem at Next Game

(To Late the deed is done and now it has become a race issue!!!! Sorry doesn't cut it and if you stand and lock arms it is the same thing as taking knee you are still supporting this race baiting and dishonoring are people our country the very principles the flag and the National anthem for and all who protected those principles! SORRY DOESN'T CUT YOU HAVE OFFENDED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! )

Principles for a FREE SOCIETY

Three days after the Pittsburgh Steelers unintentionally entangled themselves in the ongoing national anthem controversy by remaining in the stadium tunnel during the anthem at a game in Chicago, center Maurkice Pouncey announced the team intends to “make it right” next time.

“I promise you one thing this week: We’ll all be standing out there for the national anthem,” he said after practice Wednesday. “Trust me. We respect our flag and we respect the military.”

Regarding what happened Sunday, he claimed it was just a “big misunderstanding.”

“Trust me, I’m very sorry to anyone who feels the way they do,” he said. “I care about the flag dearly. Trust me, this team will be out there standing Sunday.”

The team’s decision Sunday to remain in the tunnel came in response to an ongoing controversy surrounding statements made by President Donald Trump at a rally in Alabama last Friday.

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects the flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b—h off the field right now. Out. He’s fired. He’s fired!’” Trump had said, referencing protests by certain NFL players upset by what they perceive to be racial injustice in America’s criminal justice system.

This remark wound up triggering widespread backlash, with numerous players and team owners across the NFL mounting a joint effort to rebuke the president by joining the protests against the national anthem.

In a bid to avoid becoming involved in this controversy, all members of the Pittsburgh Steelers except one decided to skip taking part in the anthem ceremony Sunday. Only offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva, a former Army Ranger, appeared on the field.

Villanueva later apologized for taking a lone stand, expressing remorse for having thrown his teammates “under the bus.”

Likewise, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger released his own statement expressing regret over what happened.

“The idea was to be unified as a team when so much attention is paid to things dividing our country, but I wish we approached it differently,” he said. “We did not want to appear divided on the sideline with some standing and some kneeling or sitting.”

In his own statement Wednesday, Pouncey made it clear that when his team stands up for the national anthem at its next game, he expects “100 percent participation” from all players. Arrest Video Shows NFL’s Michael Bennett Lied

New video evidence appears to suggest that Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett lied about why police officers took him down in Las Vegas in late August.

Bennett claimed that he was the victim of racial profiling when police officers detained him outside the Cromwell Hotel following the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight as they were searching for a possible active shooter.

TMZ previously reported that everyone in the club was told by the police to get down and not move, at which point Bennett reportedly took off running.

During the incident Bennett screamed, “I wasn’t doing nothing man! I was here with my friends! They told us to get out, everybody ran!”

Bennett also claimed that one of the police officers threated to “blow my f**king head off,” of which there is no proof.

Here is the video of Las Vegas Officer explaining their actions to Bennett and he indicates that he understands.

Las Vegas sheriff Joseph Lombardo explains that officers did what they were supposed to do in stopping Michael Bennett and applauds them for the job they did.  You can watch his comments below.

As we reported earlier this month, there were hundreds of videos depicting this situation and if something was done to Bennett that was outside department policy, it would be clear.  We know know that almost 1000 videos were reviewed and the claims by Bennett are false.

Keep in mind that the NFL Commissioner, Pete Carroll, and multiple NFL Players defended Bennett.  It is now a proven lie.

What will they do now?

Will the NFL issue an apology?  Will the NFL investigate Bennett for lying? Will Pete Carroll say that he was wrong?

Accusing anyone, including law enforcement of racism is very serious and it should be just as serious to lie about it.

We wait and see of the NFL will hold Michael Bennett accountable for his actions and his lies.

It’s all about the ‘privilege’, apparently.

White Privilege.

Is there any other kind in the minds of the Leftists in 2017?

Are these people high?

In an article on the Huffington Post, seemingly white author, Jesse Benn, says any white player still standing for the anthem are standing for ‘white supremacy’.

[Editor’s Note: I say ‘seemingly white’ because you just never know these days. Appearance isn’t always an accurate indication of ethnicity.]

But to Benn, it’s all about the whiteness.

The absence of white athletes kneeling for the anthem Sunday was a particularly illustrative moment in white privilege.

See, for white athletes the anthem and American flag do represent freedom, liberty and whatever other amorphous American values one might ascribe these symbols. So, from their view, kneeling would be disrespectful to the privileges a white supremacist nation affords them.

We’ve all heard the typical argument against kneeling. “Kneeling during the anthem disrespects the flag and the soldiers who fought for your right to protest and blah blah blah patriotism!”

So, America is bad to black people?

After we literally fought a war with our fellow countrymen to end slavery?

And soundly rejected (well, except for Democrats,) segregation and racist Jim Crow laws?

This is a country where a black Minister, decades after his death, is still hailed as a hero by Americans of every color for his Civil Rights Activism.

This is a country that recently elected a black man for president twice.

We have moved forward with equality.

And to say that we haven’t is disingenuous.

This is a country that has people of all color represented in every area of success, including the most visible forms — athletics, music, politics, and Hollywood.

Are there still problems? Sure. Show me one place in the world that doesn’t have problems.

America is still a beacon of light to the world when it comes to freedom for all.

If this country is so very ‘institutionally racist’, then which country should we emulate, hmmm?

South Africa? Apartheid.

Sudan? Ethnoreligious conflict.

Syria? Oppression.

Germany? Open Borders has shifted the culture and rape is an epidemic.

The United Kingdom? Same as Germany, but with more frequent terror attacks.

Canada? They have Islamic ‘blasphemy’ laws and tamp down Free Speech. They also have their own linguistic divide between French and English — with one province threatening to separate every once in a while.

See, they’ve all got their own problems.

But we’ve largely solved ours here.

Benn goes on to give his reasons why it’s all about the ‘whiteness’:

This isn’t a matter of opinion. Statistics reveal disparities along racial lines regarding wealth, education, healthy food, employment, health care, housing, wages, criminal charges/sentences and practically every other imaginable measure of quality of life. This isn’t a mistake of history or attributable to individual or cultural traits of the oppressed. These are the results of centuries of systemic white supremacy, plain and simple.

Anyone who professes to care about America’s alleged values should be fighting to extend them to those they’re deprived. If they aren’t full of shit, that is.

It’s not about choices, or not taking opportunities available?

It’s not about the cultural divide — or the systematic destruction of the black family from within?

It’s not about absentee fathers or the rising instances of ‘Baby Mammas’?

It’s not about the Democrat policies that govern the inner cities that keep people dependent on government instead of self-reliant?

It’s not about hiring teachers for the color of their skin rather than their ability to read?

It has nothing to do with schools lowering the standards of education — the ticket out of poverty for many — to appeal to ‘identity politics’?

It’s not about the glorification of hip-hop gangster culture and tied directly to the aforementioned absentee fathers?

Really, it’s not about any of that?

Then why do so many rise above it and achieve success?

It’s about a system based on ‘white supremacy’ says Benn.

And if you disagree, you’re probably racist, too.

Understand this. White supremacy — as in the structures of opportunity, the legacy of/ongoing oppression of non-whites, and the asymmetrical hoarding of resources by whites — is what affords us the privileges that limit our view, making a peaceful act of protest seem offensive in spite of the broader context of what’s being protested. And the ignorant result of that privilege was on full display Sunday as white players stood next to their black teammates.

Well, I’d say that was ‘educational’, but it wasn’t.

Packers’ Attempt to Involve Fans In Anthem Demonstration Falls Flat, Most Chant ‘USA!’ Instead

Sep 29, 2017 by Clyde 4 Comments

The Packers players wrote a long letter to their fans this week. A letter in which the team asked their fans to join them in interlocking arms during the anthem on Thursday night.

According to quarterback Aaron Rodgers, this was a moment that stood for, “…equality.” As well as “…unity and love, and growing together as a society and starting a conversation around something that may be a little bit uncomfortable for people.”

Well, as it turns out, most Packers fans didn’t want to have a “conversation,” weren’t interested in”growing together,” and certainly had no desire to be made “a little bit uncomfortable.” Instead, the activity most Packers fans elected to participate in when it came time to honor America, was to chant “USA! USA! USA!:”
While all players, for the Packers and Bears stood with arms interlocked. Only a few isolated groups of fans chose too. To the Packers credit, unlike last weekend, no Green Bay players were found on the bench. On Sunday, Green Bay”s Martellus Bennett, Kevin King, and Lance Kendricks protested by sitting on the bench. On Thursday night, every Bear and every Packer was on his feet.

Fan outrage, in Green Bay in particular, has been intense since last weekend’s protests. Many Packers fans called the team office throughout the week, letting them know how uncomfortable they felt with the protests, and team’s efforts to get the fans to join in the demonstration on Thursday night.

The team decided to continue with the planned demonstration, and clearly the fans were not having it. The recent surge in NFL protests was brought on by comments from President Trump last Friday night, when he referred to players who protest the anthem as “SOB’s,” amnd said he’s like to see them fired.

The Steelers and the Broncos have already released statements saying they will end their protests and stand, beginning on Sunday. After what happened at the Packers game tonight, Green Bay may be the next team to join them.

Thousands Of Jobs Back! Major Car Manufacturer To Build Mega-Factories In These 5 States

It was one of President Donald Trump’s most imporrant campaign promises: making trade arrangement reasonable once more.

This change included, yet was not constrained to, situations, for example, the Trans-Pacific Partnership or the identifications of exchange agreement infringement, among others.

Be that as it may, every one of these guarantees hinted at one conclusion: taking jobs back to regular American workers. It appears one organization will do only that.

According to an article by The Hill, “Toyota is investing $374 million in five manufacturing plants in the U.S. to help build its new Highlander hybrid SUV.”

This will basically enable the Japanese organization to help its continuous endeavors in making the “first American-made hybrid power train.”

“The money will be funneled toward plants in Kentucky, West Virginia, Missouri, Tennessee and Alabama. Each of the projects is scheduled to begin this year, and should be operational in 2020.”The statemnt, which was made Tuesday, is only one of the most recent moves to localize car making in the U.S.

“Hybrid is a core Toyota technology, and localization reflects the company’s confidence in the capability and global competitiveness of our North American manufacturing,” said Jeff Moore, Toyota’s senior vice president of manufacturing.

Toyota is one of a few non-US automakers that have swore to create big job market by growing the car-making industry in the U.S.

According CNBC, “Those moves come as the Trump administration considers altering or scrapping the North American Free Trade Agreement.”

Dearborn: Judge tosses Muslim’s (frivolous) $100M lawsuit against Little Caesars

Source: Lawyer says Little Caesars removing ‘halal pepperoni’ sign a victory

A Wayne County judge today tossed out a lawsuit filed against Little Caesars Pizza alleging that pork was sold as “halal pepperoni” at one of its Dearborn locations, according to court documents provided by an attorney for the pizza company.

Michael Huget, an attorney representing Little Caesars Pizza, said that Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Susan Hubbard granted the pizza chain a summary disposition — or a motion to dismiss via the court rather than by a jury — in a case brought against the pizza company by Dearborn resident Mohamad Bazzi in May.

A second lawsuit involving different plaintiffs making the same allegations was allowed to proceed.

Majed Moughni, the attorney for Bazzi, said an appeal is being considered because the judge may have made a judicial error in not letting the complaint be amended a third time to prove that there was a cause of action.

In an e-mailed statement sent by Huget on behalf of Little Caesars, the company said it will file counter claims to protect the company against “frivolous actions.”

“Little Caesars is extremely pleased with the court’s complete dismissal of this meritless claim,” the company said in the statement.

On the eve of Ramadan, Bazzi filed the complaint saying he twice ordered halal pizza from the Little Caesars on Schaefer in Dearborn.

He alleged that the boxes were labeled “halal,” but that the pies inside were topped with regular pepperoni made with pork, a food prohibited under Islamic law. Bazzi is Muslim.

Moughni said that in the past week, it was discovered via calls from customers that Little Caesars is no longer selling halal pepperoni and that the halal pepperoni signs at the Schaefer Road location had been removed.

Huget said that according to his client, the “halal pepperoni” sign that has been in the window of the Dearborn store has been taken down because “they are presently out of stock” of halal pepperoni.

“The victory is that’ve conceded that they’ve been defrauding the community for a number of years, that they’ve removed the halal sign, and they removed the pepperoni from their stores,” Moughni said.

According to the court documents provided by Huget, Hubbard denied Little Caesars Pizza’s motion for a summary disposition today in a second case also alleging the company sold pork pepperoni as “halal.” That case involves plaintiffs Ali Bazzi and Michelle Meade and is also being represented by Moughni.

“Our next step is to uncover the truth, and the truth is … they’ve been negligent and reckless,” Moughni said.

Is the second legal jihadist Ali Bazzi related to the first legal jihadist Mohamad Bazzi? Or is it just a coincidence they share a last name, a lawyer and are suing the same company for the same reason?

Muslims scream “Allahu akbar” and play the sound of explosions at full volume outside church

( Muslims do not assimilate! They infiltrate! )

The two most important details in this story are these:

1. “I was alarmed at first but you come to expect things like that, it’s become common place [sic] in east London.”

Commonplace in east London. And just imagine what east London will be like in five years, or ten.

2. “The Met Police said they were unaware of the incident.”

Probably they were too busy tracking the latest incidence of “Islamophobia.”

Then there is the Daily Mail, the worst newspaper in the Western world, shamelessly pandering:

“Allahu Akbar translates from Arabic as ‘God is the greatest.’ The phrase has earned an unfortunate association with terrorism because extremists have been heard shouting it during recent attacks.”

Yes, the cry of “Allahu akbar” was pure as the driven snow until it “earned an unfortunate association with terrorism because extremists have been heard shouting it during recent attacks.”

In reality, Islamic tradition notes that Muhammad screamed “Allahu akbar” as he launched his surprise jihad attack on the unsuspecting Jews of the Khaybar oasis. This cry has been a feature of jihad attacks since the beginning of Islam. But the Daily Mail is the worst paper in the Western world precisely because it reports well about jihad activity but indefatigably covers up the ideological origins of that activity, and vilifies everyone who calls attention to the motivating ideology behind jihad attacks.

Then there is this telling little detail, indicating the Daily Mail’s determination to police “Islamophobia” more thoroughly than the Met Police track jihad activity:

“The comments below have been moderated in advance.”

Only in a photo caption do we get the information that this was done outside a church: “A crowd of men wearing Islamic dress gathered outside a church in east London yesterday evening, shouting Allahu Akbar while playing gunshot noises on a speaker. A woman and a child walked past the scene which was described as ‘alarming.'”

“Dramatic video shows ‘Islamic protesters’ shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ and playing the sound of EXPLOSIONS at full volume in east London street,” by Liz Dunphy, Mailonline, September 27, 2017:

An unsettling video has emerged of protesters playing the sound of explosions while shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ to rouse crowds in east London on Tuesday night.

Witnesses said that men wearing Islamic dress gathered in Seven Kings near Ilford at 7.45pm.

Two men repeatedly shouted Allahu Akbar into a microphone while playing gunshot sounds at volume on a speaker.

A witness, who asked not to be named said: ‘I was alarmed, I didn’t know what was going on. When someone shouts Allahu Akbar while playing gunshot sounds on a speaker it is deliberately trying to alarm.

‘There was a lot of commotion with a big group shouting and cheering whenever the men got closer with the speaker.’

Allahu Akbar translates from Arabic as ‘God is the greatest.’ The phrase has earned an unfortunate association with terrorism because extremists have been heard shouting it during recent attacks.

‘I have no idea what they were doing, but it was clearly some kind of protest,’ the witness said.

A bus driver stopped and asked them to move but the crowd refused and turned the speaker up to drown out the bus driver’s requests, the witness said.

‘I was alarmed at first but you come to expect things like that, it’s become common place [sic] in east London….

The Met Police said they were unaware of the incident.

Norway’s Immigration Minister: Norwegians are “experiencing now the fear that Israelis have experienced for decades”

( Muslims do not assimilate! They infiltrate! )

September 28, 2017 10:40 am By Robert Spencer

“We see what is happening in Sweden, in Britain, and in France. We are experiencing now the fear that you have experienced for decades.” The same fear, emanating from the same cause. Israel is on the front lines of the global jihad. Anyone who understands the nature, magnitude, and goal of that jihad will stand with Israel, and decry the suicidal policies that have returned that jihad to Europe. “Norwegians now ‘experiencing the same fear as Israelis’ says minister,” by Hagay Hacohen, Jerusalem Post, September 28, 2017: Norwegian Immigration Minister Sylvi Listhaug stated that Norwegians have a new reason to relate to Israelis, and confirmed Israel’s right to defend itself. “We see what is happening in Sweden, in Britain, and in France,” said Norway’s Minister of Immigration and Integration Sylvi Listhaug in an interview to Ynet held in Oslo, “We are experiencing now the fear that you have experienced for decades.” One of the most popular politicians in Norway and member of the conservative-liberal Progress Party, Listhaug added that the nations of Europe “and their citizens need to understand the situation in Israel better, because of the terror attacks in Israel.” Norwegian conservative historian Hanne Nabintu Herland called her country “the most anti-Semitic in the West,” but now it seems that the people of Norway are changing their views. In concern for the preservation of Norwegian culture in the face of a potential flood of immigrants, Herland often calls on her fellow country-men to “take their country back.” “The Progress party has always been a supporter of Israel’s need to protect themselves [sic] in a region where you are the only democracy,” continued Minister Listhaug, before adding that “this does not mean we support everything you do, but that you have a right to defend your people and your borders because you live in a region that has a lot of problems.” The conservative minister reduced the number of immigrants arriving to the shores of Norway from 30,000 in 2015 to 1,000 in 2017. Those who come are expected to adapt to the culture and norms of Norwegians: a people who drink alcohol, eat pork, and do not believe in veils. Speaking to Ynet, Minister Listhaug stated that, in her view, the reason fewer people wish to come to Norway illegally is that Norway – unlike other countries in Europe – sends undocumented migrants back to their countries of origin.

M-103: CBC says Islamic sharia law is “nothing to fear”

33

Canadians have everything to fear.

Conservative Leader Rona Ambrose was one of the few elected leaders who spoke frankly of sharia motion M-103, when she said that she was worried that charges of “islamophobia” would be used “to intimidate rather than to inform. “I do worry that some of my work trying to empower women and girls in Muslim communities could be branded as ‘Islamophobic’ if I criticize practices that I believe are oppressive.”

When I ran ads on Edmonton buses offering help to Muslim girls who wanted to live free, they were taken down almost immediately because three or four Muslims (who obviously supported the honor code of violence) said they were offended. I exhausted all legal actions fighting to get those ads back up. To no avail.

Now they will criminalize sharia violations and throw people who stand for freedom in jail.

Oh, Canada.

M-103: CBC says Islamic sharia law is “nothing to fear”

Rebel Media, September 27, 2017 (thanks to Blazing)

It’s bad enough that during the hearings into the Liberals’ anti-“Islamophobia” motion M-103, we’ve heard expert witnesses call for censorship, including prosecuting radio stations.

But on last night’s show, our own Candice Malcolm and I talked about a one-sided CBC article that assured Canadians that sharia law was “nothing to fear.”

She explains why nothing could be further from the truth.

Can you believe the state broadcaster gets over $1 billion of your tax dollars a year to run these stories?

BRЕAКING: NFL Рlayer То Аngry Fanѕ Whо Аrе Boyсotting Gameѕ “ВYE”

( This should make up your mine about what to do about the N.F.L.! Now they don't need the us after insulting country that has give the freedom to run mouth! )

Principles for a free society

Some fans have threatened to boycott the NFL over players’ protests during the national anthem. Titans tight end Delanie Walker has a message for them: Bye.

“First off, I’m going to say this: We’re not disrespecting the military, the men and woman that serve in the Army. That’s not what it’s all about,” Walker said, via Jason Wolf of The Tennessean. “. . . I’ve been in the USO. I support the troops. This is not about that. It’s about equal rights, and that’s all everyone is trying to show, is that we all care about each other.

“And the fans that don’t want to come to the game? I mean, OK. Bye. I mean, if you feel that’s something, we’re disrespecting you, don’t come to the game. You don’t have to. No one’s telling you to come to the game. It’s your freedom of choice to do that.”

The Titans were among three teams that skipped the national anthem Sunday after President Donald Trump’s tweets. The President has predicted a backlash against the NFL in the wake of the protests, which included dozens of NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem in Week 3.

““That’s their choice [not to watch],” cornerback Logan Ryan said. “That’s the beauty of this country. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and everyone’s opinion is equal. So right, wrong or indifferent, that’s the beauty of this country — that everyone should have equal rights and equal opinions on what they want. If they don’t want to watch, that’s their choice. That’s perfect.”

America Is CHEERING After Kellyanne Conway Just Said One Thing That’ll Ruin The NFL..

SHARES

Kellyanne Conway is not happy right now! She is so mad that she just went on FOX News Sunday with a single goal in mind: DESTROY THE DISRESPECTFUL NFL.

From the White House this morning, she tore into the anthem protesters with a message that will have our troops cheering! Watch Here:

“THE PRESIDENT IS SUPPORTING THE FLAG AND EVERYTHING THAT IT STANDS FOR.”Conway-NFL.jpg

Kellyanne continues on to say that the President is just defending our flag, our troops, and our country. The liberal NFL teams want you to think that they are about unity, but we are all united under that flag.

It is only a matter of time until the NFL loses their ratings and their precious fans and money who have supported them up until this point. There are plenty of Americans burning their beloved NFL gear of their favorite teams.

The NFL is treading on very dangerous waters messing with our anthem like that. Americans will not stand for this disrespect to our country and those who have fought and died for that flag that we honor so much.

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s hopes for discussion about policy were dashed during a Fox News interview on Wednesday when President Donald Trump once again tweeted about protests in the NFL, forcing her to respond on live television.Image result for Kellyanne Conway NFL

Fox & Friends hosts began the interview by lobbying easy questions at Conway about Trump’s obsession with NFL players kneeling during the national anthem. But with just 30 seconds left in the segment, Trump broke news with his latest tweet about the NFL.

“We just got a brand new tweet!” Fox News host Brian Kilmeade announced, interrupting his co-host’s question.

Conway responded to the news by grinning ear-to-ear.

But as co-host Abby Huntsman read the tweet, Conway’s smiled turned into a look of concern.
“It seems like he’s going to stay on this topic,” Huntsman pointed out. “A lot of critics are saying there’s so much on his plate right now, we’ve got to move on, this is a distraction. But it seems like he’s doing the opposite of that.”

Conway noted that the president had defended himself by saying, “Look, I work all the time. I can do many things at once.”Related image

“I think, some folks who cover the president for a living only focus on one or two things at a time,” she added. “We should reflect upon that.”Watch the video below.

Spoke to Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys yesterday. Jerry is a winner who knows how to get things done. Players will stand for Country!

If you support Kellyanne’s message, let’s give her a thumbs up by Sharing this to Facebook! T
