Like me, President Trump has a fatwa on his head. The death threat, provided to Newsweek by the jihadi monitoring site Jihadoscope, says Trump should be targeted for his “crimes against Islam.” “It is clear that Trump is waging this war only for his hatred of Muslims,” it says. “You will never be victorious, you will be defeated.” The statement repeats the Taliban phrase that Afghanistan will become a “graveyard” for American troops.
In the video, Muslim leader Ayman al-Zawahiri urges warring Muslims to accept the Taliban as their ruling organization.
Obama resurrected the Taliban and made them a force to be reckoned with.
Obama declared that the vicious bloodthirsty Taliban were to be his partners in peace. But of course, they were having none of it. They are on the vanguard of the tsunami of Islamic supremacist movements that Obama empowered, armed and supported. Their resurrection, after Bush decimated them, is Obama’s legacy.
The U.S. State Department reported that in the last 10 years, under President Obama’s watch – after the United States invaded and ousted the Taliban from leadership – religious freedom has plunged and every single Christian church has been removed from the country.
Obama laid down our weapons (even though he campaigned on fighting in Afghanistan, “the good war”), and as a result, the Taliban control large parts of Afghanistan. Bill Roggio, the editor of The Long War Journal, reports that one-fifth of the country is controlled or contested by the Taliban, but he emphasized that this was a conservative estimate. “They probably either control or heavily influence about a half of the country,” he said.
I submit that Afghanistan is one of Obama’s top failures (or perhaps in his mind, his greatest success). And there are a great many failures competing for the top spot — Syria, Iraq, Libya, Russia, Israel, Egypt, ISIS, jihad at home …..
This is the catastrophic reality — the result of Obama’s support of Islamic supremacist ascendancy across the world. And now Obama’s Afghan partners are selling the Taliban US military weaponry. This has been going on since 2009 and the Obama administration did nothing about it.
‘Tomorrow we take the White House,’ Taliban fighter
Back in December 2014, President Obama continued to lie to the American people, and vowed that Afghanistan would not be a source of terrorist attacks in the future.
Obama has been unflinching in his support for the Taliban. For example, Obama knew that an Afghan colonel was paid $250,000 to kill US Air Force personnel. His DoD covered it up. And still he continued to support the Taliban — despite the slaughter, the insider attacks, the destruction of schools, the attacks on girls, etc. He strong-armed President Karzai into partnering with them. He insisted that Karzai share power with the Taliban. He insisted that NATO recognize the Taliban.
‘Dead or Alive’: President Trump Appears on Al-Qaeda Wanted Notice
Newsweek, September 18, 2017:
Al-Qaeda has had a resurgence online in recent months, using the heir of the group’s late leader Osama bin Laden—his son Hamza—as a propaganda pawn whose family lineage boosts its image. Now, Al-Qaeda’s supporters are using another notable name to attract attention: President Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, the Al-Hijrah media group, marked by a green logo and active for only the past several months, released a wanted notice for the U.S. president, calling for his capture “dead or alive.”
The notice, provided to Newsweek by the jihadi monitoring site Jihadoscope, says Trump should be targeted for his “crimes against Islam.” It says he is sought for “treason, murder, injustice, kidnapping, massacre, extremism, negligence, hate.”
The release came a week after the jihadi channel warned it would have “a message to Trump and the people of America coming soon.”
Tuesday’s release also includes a message that pointed to Trump’s decision to expand U.S. military presence in Afghanistan.
“Trump is talking about winning in Afghanistan. And you Americans what do you think? Do you not know history?” it reads, referring to the failure of the Bush and Obama administrations to defeat the Taliban mujahedeen, Arabic for holy warriors.
“It is clear that Trump is waging this war only for his hatred of Muslims,” it says. “You will never be victorious, you will be defeated.” The statement repeats the Taliban phrase that Afghanistan will become a “graveyard” for American troops.
The Taliban is the most prominent insurgent group in the country, and Al-Qaeda is allied with it. Both are vying for influence against a growing Islamic State militant group (ISIS) affiliate in the country.
Al-Qaeda has long been an adversary of the U.S., claiming the deadliest attacks on U.S. soil, the 9/11 hijackings that killed almost 3,000 people in 2001.
The jihadi group’s grievances with the U.S. stem from a hatred of democracy and the Western world, but it has long listed American foreign policy as its main justification for violence against civilian and military targets. The U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003 gave birth to Al-Qaeda in Iraq, an insurgency that left a bloody trail across the country for occupying Western forces.
President Donald Trump is seen in a wanted notice posted by Al-Qaeda supporters that call for his targeting over “crimes against Islam.”
AL-HIJRAH MEDIAThat group would later develop and split into what is now ISIS, the target of a U.S.-led coalition of air forces that is bombing the militant group in Iraq and Syria. The U.S. is also conducting drone campaigns against Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Shabab in Somalia and Al-Qaeda’s most powerful wing, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
Trump, throughout his presidential campaign and first months as president, has pledged to go to war on “radical Islamic terrorism.” He has given U.S. commanders greater remit to conduct airstrikes in the Middle East and has put forward a travel ban on seven Muslim-majority nations, a decision that community leaders have suggested will alienate young, disenfranchised Muslims in the U.S. who could sympathize with Al-Qaeda and ISIS propaganda.
But Trump’s war on radical Islamism energized his base of support, and the real threat that extremist groups pose to the president is low because of the resources of the U.S. security services. The wanted notice is less a meaningful threat and more likely an attempt to drum up support among potential supporters in line with the group’s recent recruitment drive.
Using Hamza bin Laden, Al-Qaeda has attempted to rally support for its cause after losing influence to ISIS during the so-called caliphate’s rise from mid-2014 onward. However, ISIS has suffered a series of battlefield losses that have greatly reduced the territory it holds.
In May, Al-Qaeda’s propaganda arm As-Sahab released an English- and Arabic-language audio message from Hamza giving “advice” to “martyrdom seekers in the West.” He mentions conflicts across the Middle East, particularly in support of Sunni Muslims in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and the West Bank and Gaza Strip, to inspire supporters.
“Be perfect in your choice of targets, so that you may damage your enemies more,” he said. “Be professional in your choice of weapons. It is not necessary that it should be a military tool. If you are able to pick a firearm, well and good; if not, the options are many.”
As Al-Qaeda continues to put out more propaganda, a report released late Monday showed Americans and non-Americans based in the U.S. were some of the most frequent consumers of radical Islamist material, behind only Turkey, and ahead of Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Britain. The report, entitled “The New Netwar,” collected data between February 19 and May 3 that showed the U.S. with 10,388 clicks on jihadi propaganda, followed by Saudi Arabia (10,239), Iraq (8,138) and Britain (6,107).

President Donald Trump said Monday at the U.N. that he will be making a decision regarding whether to scrap the Iran nuclear deal “very soon.”
Trump’s comments to reporters came as he sat down for a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who strongly opposes the Obama administration-championed international agreement.
According to the terms of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the United States must certify in October whether Iran is in compliance with the deal.
Asked by a reporter whether he plans to keep the U.S. in the agreement, Trump responded, “You’ll see very soon.”
In an address before a joint session of Congress in 2015, Netanyahu contended that the deal “doesn’t block Iran’s path to the bomb, it paves Iran’s path to the bomb.”
While aboard Air Force One on Thursday, Trump restated his disapproval of the agreement’s terms, a view he expressed multiple times as a presidential candidate.
“But I will say this, the Iran deal is one of the worst deals I’ve ever seen, certainly at a minimum the spirit of the deal is just atrociously kept. But the Iran deal is not a fair deal to this country. It’s a deal that should have never ever been made. And you’ll see what we’re doing in a couple of weeks,” he said of his decision regarding American participation in the agreement.
Trump added that Iran has “violated so many different elements” of the deal and the United States is “not going to stand for what they (Iran) are doing.”
“Every 90 days, the U.S. President must certify to Congress that Iran is keeping up its end of the deal,” CNN reported. “If Iran doesn’t comply, US, European Union, and UN nuclear-related sanctions on the Iranian economy would be reinstated.”
Last fall, the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency found that the Islamic Republic produced too much heavy water, a material which is used to cool reactors that produce plutonium.
In February, Iran conducted ballistic missiles tests, which, while they were not in violation of the nuclear deal, did violate a U.N. resolution passed just days after the agreement was signed.
Iran is “called upon not to undertake any activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons, including launches using such ballistic missile technology,” according to the text of the resolution.
Iran argued that the missiles could not carry nuclear weapons.
After Trump’s Monday comments at the U.N., Iranian President Hassan Rouhani told CNN the U.S. would pay a price if it pulls out of the agreement.
“Exiting such an agreement would carry a high cost for the United States of America, and I do not believe Americans would be willing to pay such a high cost for something that will be useless for them,” he said.
“Given that Mr. Trump’s actions and reactions and policies are somewhat unpredictable, we have thought long and hard about our reactions,” Rouhani added.
He said any response from Iran would come “quite swiftly” and “probably within a week,” adding that “if the US wants to increase the tensions it will see the reaction from Iran.” (For more from the author of “Trump Suggests He Could Pull Out of Iran Deal” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/09/trump-suggests-pull-iran-deal/
By Chelsea Schilling. Who knew! Those fluffy white cotton balls on display in your favorite floral arrangement or in your bathroom cabinet?
They just might be r-a-a-a-c-i-s-t!
At least some people in Texas and Tennessee apparently think so.
On Sept. 14, Daniell Rider, a black woman from Killeen, Texas, ripped into the Hobby Lobby craft chain when she spotted raw cotton on its shelves.
“This decor is WRONG on SO many levels,” Rider said in a post on Hobby Lobby’s Facebook page. “There is nothing decorative about raw cotton … A commodity which was gained at the expense of African-American slaves.” (Read more from “Common Household Item Is Now Considered ‘Racist'” HERE) http://www.wnd.com/2017/09/racist-america-goes-bonkers-over-cotton-balls/

Texas Woman Claims Hobby Lobby’s Cotton Stalks Are Racist, Defenders Push Back
By Fernando Alfonso III. [Daniell] Rider’s comment, and photo of the cotton, inspired thousands of comments on other Hobby Lobby Facebook posts, many of which were from people defending the store.
“People are too sensitive,” Pam Asbridge Reeder commented Saturday afternoon. “My mother picked cotton in Alabama as a young child. We are white as rice !! Get over yourself Daniell Rider. If it wasn’t for that cotton, you might just be stuck in Africa without the opportunities or privileges you have as an American. Did you EVER think about that? Not all slave owners were bad just as not all whites are bad. Some slave owners actually deeded land and homes to slaves and their families.”
Hobby Lobby is still selling the cotton stems on its website, where they have been marked down from 29.99 to $15. Administrators at a public high school in New Hampshire have banned students from using American flags as props or clothing at a forthcoming pep rally because the administrators are concerned that students will treat the flag disrespectfully.
The site of the flag fracas is Londonderry High School, reports local ABC affiliate WMUR-TV.
A couple dozen Londonderry High student athletes who will organize the pep rally received letters describing the event’s rules last week. Most of the rules were standard fare: no insults about opposing teams, not getting naked — that kind of thing.
The students who received the letter did notice the added rule about the U.S. flag. The rule read: “No use of the American flag. Do not wear, carry, present the American flag on the floor.” (Read more from “High School Bans American Flags – the Reason Why Will Surprise You” HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/09/high-school-bans-american-flags/
Hillary Clinton — the same Hillary Clinton who spent her campaign months talking up the dangers of “dark money” in politics — was just outed for moving about $800,000 of the cash stashed for her presidential run to antifa groups.
Hillary Clinton cash has been used to fund groups like antifa, a new report reveals.Pardon, Ms. Clinton, the bluntness of the question. But isn’t that “dark money?”
Apparently, Clinton’s been busy using her “Onward Together” Super-PAC dough to back resistance movements around the United States.
The Gateway Pundit has more:
In building investigations, Daily Caller first discovered that Hillary transferred a mass sum of money from her campaign over to Onward Together:
Clinton transferred $800,000 from her failed 2016 presidential campaign to Onward Together shortly before announcing the group’s launch in May, documents the campaign filed with the FEC reveal.
Now, today, it has been revealed by Offended America exactly where that money is going:
Daily Caller reached out to five different Antifa linked groups, and only one was willing to deny donations from Onward Together. Soros-linked group, Indivisible, denied receiving financial support from Clinton or Onward Together.
“Onward Together has not given any financial support to us,” Helen Kalla, an Indivisible spokesperson, wrote to Daily Caller.
Kalla added that Clinton’s group has “been amplifying and highlighting our work through their digital networks,” which she explained has consisted of “retweeting [Indivisible], and they’ve highlighted our work via their emails to their list too.”
According to Federal Election Commission documents, Hillary Clinton transferred $800,000 from her failed political campaign “Hillary for America” to her new Super-PAC “Onward Together”, before she announced the existence of the PAC in May, 2017.
Amid other disturbing details, it’s now been revealed that “Onward Together” is a 501(c)4 “Social Welfare” organization, which means that it’s not required to disclose many of the details of its operations to the public or disclose who its donors are.
By receiving campaign funds, and then furnishing the funds to Antifa terrorist groups, Clinton may have implicated many of her supported in a crime.
Hillary Clinton, now too old to run for office, will go back to doing what she’s always done best, round up money from anonymous sources, and then use that money to influence elections and peddle power.

Farmington Hills — Nada Huranieh’s death was initially seen as an accidental fall, but investigators soon determined the 35-year-old fitness trainer had been murdered — and that her 16-year-old son was the alleged culprit.
Authorities remain tight-lipped about their investigation into Huranieh’s death, but court records shed some light on her family’s sometimes troubled existence behind the walls of their mansion off a quiet dirt road in southern Oakland County.
Huranieh, 35, died Aug. 21 from injuries suffered in a fall from a second-floor window of the seven-bedroom home on Howard Road in Farmington Hills. Authorities said she was found on her patio by her 14-year-old daughter, who called police to report Huranieh was not breathing.
The death was ruled a homicide following an autopsy, and her son, Muhammad Altantawi, is charged as an adult with second-degree murder. He is being held in Oakland County Children’s Village without bond.
During a pre-exam conference Friday, Judge Marla Parker of 47th District Court scheduled a preliminary hearing for Nov. 17, when she will decide whether Altantawi will be tried in his mother’s death.
The teenager, from all accounts, is a good student without any prior legal trouble. If found guilty of killing his mother, he could be sentenced to life in prison.
But court records and people familiar with the family reveal stress inside the home that predated the death, with Muhammad Altantawi being placed “in the middle” of adult issues, including allegations of domestic violence, a parental split and Medicaid fraud charges against his father, a Canton-based physician.
Huranieh and Bassel Altantawi, who wed in Syria in 1999 and had three children, were in the midst of a divorce; both were scheduled to give depositions the week she died.
Huranieh had filed for divorce in March 2016. According to court records, the teen’s father, Bassel Altantawi, now 46, violated orders for supervised visitation and allegedly met several times with his son at a strip mall near the home more than a year ago.
The father also expressed concerns that his children were being “Americanized” by his wife in contrast to their Syrian and Islamic roots, court records indicate.
One of Huranieh’s ex-attorneys, Carolyn Markowitz, said the son expressed anger toward his mother and frequently slipped away to meet his father, who was ordered out of their Farmington Hills home following an incident in which he was accused of throwing his wife down a flight of stairs on Valentine’s Day in 2016.
Altantawi eventually pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of spousal abuse. He was placed on a tether and given conditions that included having no contact with his estranged wife for two years and having only supervised visitation with their children, who were ordered to have counseling.
Muhammad Altantawi and his two sisters, age 14 and 12, were in the sole legal custody of their mother at the time of her death, though the boy’s address is listed as being on Ford Road in Canton, according to his district court criminal file. The address is his father’s urgent care clinic.
Part of the divorce filing in Oakland County Circuit Court is confidential.
Bassel Altantawi described the altercation with his wife as “an isolated and very unfortunate incident that he has taken responsibility for and it will not be repeated,” McGlinchey wrote in the 2016 divorce filing.
The estranged couple’s older daughter phoned police to report the Valentine’s Day incident, according to Markowitz, Huranieh’s former attorney.
“Her injuries were serious, she could have died,” she said.
It was unclear if the son was at home during the altercation, but Markowitz said in the following months, it became clear that Muhammad was growing apart from his mother. Several times, he ran away to see his father.
“He always returned home but was more like his father, a traditional Muslim,” Markowitz said. “The girls were happy to go shopping with their mother, have electrolysis. But he was very much like his father, didn’t believe in living the American culture. His father even had him working for him against her in the home, taking photographs of things, like items his mother had bought. Like a spy.
“There were third parties, a religious mentor, who was also trying to influence him or relay his father’s wishes, which was also improper,” she said.
In a July 2016 affidavit filed as part of the divorce case, the imam at the Canton Islamic Center where the family worshiped, said he had known both Huranieh and her husband for more than 10 years, socialized with both and considered them friends.
Imam Mohamad Abdulgani denied attempting to influence anyone, including the children, regarding the divorce. He also said he had never been contacted by Altantawi to act on his behalf with such a request.
Altantawi acknowledged he had contacted his son by cellphone and that he had been picking up the teen at the end of the street “to remain in compliance with the no contact order,” according to a statement filed by McGlinchey in circuit court as part of the divorce case.
McGlinchey declined to discuss allegations made in court records by both parents that the other spouse attempted to turn the son against them.
…
Altantawi, a successful physician, had other problems. In May 2016, he was charged by the Michigan attorney general with fraud at his Canton Urgent Care clinic.
In March, he pleaded guilty to two counts of Medicaid fraud and two counts of health care fraud, which are felonies that can carry up to four years in prison. Altantawi was spared prison time but his physician’s license was suspended and paid $277,953 in restitution, according to the state attorney general’s office.
According to divorce filings, Altantawi — who once had an annual income in excess of $350,000 — found himself unable to work as a physician or meet previous court-ordered support payments for his estranged wife and three children.
He said he was “no longer able to support them in their lavish lifestyle” in Farmington Hills and complained of Huranieh going on shopping trips in Metro Detroit and Chicago and racking up thousands of dollars in credit card charges at upscale clothing stores.
Court records show after the March 2016 divorce filing, Altantawi was ordered to maintain the status quo in the household finances yet failed to pay bills that resulted in shutoffs of utility, cellphone and internet service. Medical and dental appointments were disrupted after insurance was canceled for nonpayment and he failed to pay auto insurance and registration renewals on Huranieh’s Mercedes Benz, according to court records.
According to filings in the couple’s divorce case, both parties allegedly withdrew large sums from their joint bank account: Huranieh nearly $630,000 and Altantawi more than $800,000. Besides the Farmington Hills mansion, valued at around $1 million, and the clinic, there is reportedly $200,000 in property in Syria in Altantawi’s name.
Another pending issue is custody of the children. A petition filed in probate court by Serene Zeni, a family friend and attorney, indicates the police investigation of Huranieh’s death is examining “whether other individuals are involved.”
A Wednesday custody hearing is scheduled before Judge Jennifer S. Callaghan of Oakland County Probate Court.

Sheikh Suleiman Anwar Bengharsa, head of the Islamic Jurisprudence Center in Clarksburg, Maryland, gave a lecture in Toronto, Canada in 2010, in which he said that Muslims could only live in the land of the infidels under certain circumstances, one of which was to do da’wa. “When the caliphate is established, you need to pack your bags and go home,” he said. In the lecture on the jurisprudence of interaction with non-Muslims, which was delivered at the Abu Huraira Center in Toronto and posted on YouTube in August 2010, Bengharsa stressed that historically, Islam had been spread by the sword and said that the purpose of Jihad is to establish the law of Allah and that while you can’t force a person to believe in Allah, “you can force him to live by the shari’a.”

Thousands of Muslim students in Lancashire may boycott meals in local schools if halal meat is banned in those schools. The Council’s concern about halal comes from the cruelty with it mandates that animals be slaughtered. British experts have stated that halal-slaughtered animals are dying in “agony.”
Lancashire Councilor leader Geoff Driver stated:
“In my view, it is abhorrent to kill an animal without stunning it because of the distress it causes. We will bring it to a full council meeting where members can vote with their conscience.”
Here we see, once again, a clash of civilizations on “barbaric practices,” a term that is deemed politically incorrect. Western thought mandates equality of rights for all regardless of creed and race, and also calls for compassion toward animals and concern for their well-being.
We may hope that PETA (People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals) will weigh in on halal slaughter practices.
Earlier in the year, three halal slaughtermen were charged with animal cruelty after they were secretly filmed by an animal rights group committing “systematic” acts of abuse against sheep and goats.
“Muslims Threaten Boycott as Council Votes on Banning Halal Meat in School”, by Liam Deacon, Breitbart, September 18, 2017:
Lancashire Councillors are to be given a free vote on whether school children across the country should be fed ‘halal’ meat from animals that have had their throats slit without being stunned.
If the local representatives vote to ban the meat in schools, thousands of Muslim children could boycott meals in Lancashire schools as they did back in 2012 when a similar restriction was introduced.
Council leader Geoff Driver told the Lancashire Telegraph: “In my view, it is abhorrent to kill an animal without stunning it because of the distress it causes. We will bring it to a full council meeting where members can vote with their conscience.”
Pendle Central Tory Cllr Joe Cooney added: “I have grave reservations and will vote against the banning of halal meat that is not pre-stunned.”
Unstunned halal meat is currently supplied to 12,000 pupils at 27 schools in Blackburn, Nelson, Burnley, Rawtenstall, Hyndburn, Clitheroe, and Preston.
The council will still supply halal meals for Muslim students if the ban is brought in, but the animals will be studded before slaughter. However, this fails to meet the Lancashire Council of Mosques’ (LCM) interpretation of Islamic law.
On their website, the LCM lists their strict “criteria” for producing meat they consider genuinely halal, including “the slaughterman must be a Muslim,” and, the “process must avoid all forms of stunning and the animal must be alive prior to slaughter.”
LCM chairman and Burnley resident Abdul Hamid Qureshi said: “We thought this issue has been resolved in 2012 and it is unfortunate it has been raised again.
“This is personal crusade by Cllr Driver. For him, it is matter of feelings but for Muslims, this is matter of faith.
“The LCM position is and always has been that stunning before slaughter means the meat is not halal and there is argument about whether pre-stunning causes more or less distress to animals that slaughter without it.”…..
Thousands of Muslim children at 45 county council schools in the area refused to eat meals containing the meat, and the decision was eventually reversed.
In November 2016, campaigners handed a 100,000 signature petition to Downing Street calling for a ban on halal and kosher (Jewish) slaughter.
Earlier in the year, three halal slaughtermen were charged with animal cruelty after they were secretly filmed by an animal rights group committing “systematic” acts of abuse against sheep and goats.
India’s government said Monday that it has evidence there are extremists who pose a threat to the country’s security among the Rohingya Muslims who have left Myanmar and settled in many Indian cities. India’s Supreme Court was hearing a petition filed on behalf of two Rohingya refugees, challenging a government decision to deport the ethnic group from India.
The “fake news” is that Rohingya Muslims are the victims is Islamic propaganda. Hugh Fitzgerald writes:
This “fake news” is, according to Aung San Suu Kyi, “simply the tip of a huge iceberg of misinformation calculated to create a lot of problems between different communities and with the aim of promoting the interest of the terrorists.”
Let’s refresh our memories of what has been going on in Myanmar this last month. All the news reports coming from Myanmar (Burma) tell the same story: tens of thousands of the Rohingya, a Muslim minority, have been fleeing into Bangladesh, to avoid the sudden upsurge in violence from both Burmese military and civilians. The Rohingya are presented as the innocent and long-suffering victims of “racist” Burmese Buddhists (Islam being, for propaganda purposes, a “race”). Only a handful of the reports mention, and only briefly, as if in passing, that the current violence began when, in mid-August, Rohingya fighters attacked 30 different police stations and an army base, as part of their campaign to stake their claim to Rakhine State, in western Myanmar, and showing themselves able “to strike terror in the hearts” of the Infidels to get it. The attacks left more than 70 dead, Muslims and Buddhists.
The Rohingyas unleashed still other attacks, and the Burmese army then retaliated, and the Rohingya continued to strike back during the last two weeks in August, and then there was more retaliation from the Buddhists. Many Rohingya have fled the retaliatory violence — a violence which they began — for Bangladesh, but it is their flight, and that retaliation by the Buddhists, which is getting almost all of the attention in the Western press, complete with photographs of victims of other conflicts who are presented as Rohingya (the “fake news” of which Aung San Suu Kyi complained), rather than what prompted it.
Seldom mentioned is that the August attack by the Rohingyas was preceded by a similar attack, last October, by the Rohingyas on the Burmese (Buddhist) police, and again, it was not their initial attack, but almost exclusively the retaliation by the Buddhist army, that was the focus of reports in the foreign press last fall. Reports of Rohingya villages being burnt down are reported uncritically. The Myanmar authorities have claimed that Islamic militants, having infiltrated Rohingya communities, have themselves been setting fire to houses in Muslim villages in order to get the world even more on their side. Instead of assuming these claims must be false, why not investigate them?
According to most of the world’s media, an unfathomable tragedy has been unfolding in Myanmar. The Buddhist majority, inflamed by rabble-rousing anti-Muslim monks, has been persecuting, killing, even massacring, members of the entirely inoffensive Muslim Rohingya minority in the western state of Rakhine (formerly, and in some places still, known as “Arakan”). An example of this hysterical coverage can be found in a report from, unsurprisingly, the pro-Muslim Guardian. It describes a sinister senior monk, Shin Parathu, who is repeatedly accused by the Guardian of “stoking religious hatred across Burma. His paranoia and fear, muddled with racist stereotypes and unfounded rumors, have helped to incite violence and spread disinformation.” One might note that no examples of these “racist stereotypes” are ever given. Could it be that the “stereotype” that this monk is accused of spreading has to do with depicting Muslims as intent on Jihad in the path of Allah, unwilling and even unable to integrate into a Buddhist society, and with a history, going back to 1942, of violence against Buddhists, that is the Rakhine people of Arakan State, and even attempting to join part of East Pakistan, and through the late 1950s, and in the 1970s, and again in the 1990s, conducting a low-level insurrection against the Burmese state — all of which is true?
And while the Guardian insists that the Rohingya are never the instigators of violence, the policemen they attacked without warning and nine of whom they murdered last October, and the people they killed in 31 coordinated attacks in mid-August, and those Buddhists they have killed since, might beg to differ. The Western press remains resolutely unsympathetic to the Buddhists of Myanmar, unwilling to find out why those Buddhists might have reason to be alarmed.
The Western media have uncritically repeated the Rohingya claim that they have inhabited Arakan for many centuries or “since time immemorial.” Others beg to differ, among them a well-known historian, and author of many works on Burma, Professor Andrew Selth of Griffith University in Australia. He has stated categorically that the name “Rohingya” was taken by “Bengali Muslims who live in Arakan State…most Rohingyas arrived with the British colonialists in the 19th and 20th centuries.” It is true that a handful of Bengali Muslims drifted down to Burma over the centuries, but Professor Selth makes the important point — unknown to Western reporters — that the vast majority of Rohingyas are recent arrivals, their great migration made possible by the fact that Burma was administratively part of British India until 1937, which meant there was no formal border to cross.
Particularly disappointing for many in the West (not to speak of the reactions of Pakistan, Al Jazeera, and Tariq Ramadan) has been what they regard as the unforgivable silence of Aung San Suu Kyi, currently the head of the Myanmar government. For Aung San Suu Kyi was formerly the leader of the nonviolent opposition to the Burmese military, placed under house arrest by the generals, then freed, and awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in 1991. For more than two decades she was, for her continued defiance of the generals, and willingness to endure that house arrest, a darling of the international media. Since the end of military rule, which she helped to bring about, she has held a number of important government posts, and is now the State Counsellor (equivalent to Prime Minister) in Myanmar.
Indian government says Rohingya Muslims are security threat
NY Times, September 18, 2017:
NEW DELHI — India’s government said Monday that it has evidence there are extremists who pose a threat to the country’s security among the Rohingya Muslims who have fled Myanmar and settled in many Indian cities.
India’s Supreme Court was hearing a petition filed on behalf of two Rohingya refugees challenging a government decision to deport the ethnic group from India.
The lawyer representing the Rohingya said the decision was discriminatory.
“This is clearly a case of religious discrimination and an attempt to arouse an anti-Muslim feeling,” Prashant Bhushan said.
He said the government had evidence of the presence of militants among the refugees who fled a crackdown by the Myanmar government.
The government said the decision on whether Rohingya refugees should be allowed to remain in the country should be made by the government.
“The court has no business to interfere in such matters of what they call illegal immigrants or illegal migrants,” the government said in an affidavit.
A Rohingya insurgent group in Myanmar which claimed responsibility for recent attacks on police posts, the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army, says it has no links to outside jihadi organizations.

Lawmakers in California on Saturday passed “sanctuary state” legislation to limit police cooperation with federal immigration authorities and give illegal immigrations additional protections from federal law enforcement.
Sabine Durden, a legal immigrant and “Angel Mom,” blasted the approved bill on Fox & Friends Monday morning.
“It’s an insult. It’s insanity on steroids to claim that this is protecting the immigrant community,” Durden said.
“They don’t protect anybody but their votes and their cheap labor, and they’re placing every American and every legal immigrant like me in danger because everybody’s gonna flood to California like they flooded to other sanctuary cities.”
“At what point will politicians, and mayors, and governors finally stand up for those who belong here, and take care of us?”
Durden is not an activist by choice. Durden’s son, Dominic, was killed five years ago in a fatal motorcycle crash involving an illegal immigrant. On July 12, 2012, Dominic, 30, was traveling to work when Juan Zacarias Lopez Tzun took a wrong turn driving an unlicensed pickup truck. Dominic was killed instantly in the crash. Tzun was an illegal immigrant from Guatemala with a record of drunk driving convictions.
Durden told the hosts of Fox & Friends that she wouldn’t be talking to them right now if the United States had enforced its immigration laws.
“My son would still be alive, so many others would still be alive if our politicians and elected officials would finally stand up for us,” an emotional Durden said. “I don’t understand it, I still don’t get it, why they fight so hard for illegals who don’t have a right to be here.”
Asked to comment on President Trump’s handling of the illegal immigration issue, Durden said, “I will stand with my president,” but “there are things I wish we would be further on.”
“I would love to extend an invitation to my president to meet with me, meet me for ten minutes, and let me refresh what we talked about on July 10, 2015, and help him understand how important it is to not allow amnesty for anybody here,” Durden said.
“We have Americans in need. We have people that need our government. I’m at loss how slow things are moving, how slow Congress and [the] Senate are moving.” (For more from the author of “‘Angel Mom’ Blasts CA Sanctuary State ‘Insanity'” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/09/angel-mom-blasts-ca-sanctuary-state-insanity/
In a new interview, Hillary Clinton revealed that she had no idea why people chanted “lock her up” during the 2016 election.
Clinton told NPR that “the first time [I was] actually aware of hearing [Lock Her Up] was at the Republican convention. I think it went on before that. I didn’t pay a lot of attention to it. I thought, ‘OK, fine. He is whipping up his crowds. He is throwing them red meat, and I’m Exhibit A of that.’”
“But when they brought it inside to their convention, so that it became, in effect, part of the historic record of the general election, I was stunned,” She continued. “I thought, What are they talking about and why are they saying this?”
Clinton also added that it was “not only wrong — because obviously there was no basis for it — but it was politics at a very high level being affected by the most dangerous partisan hyperbole.” (Read more from “Hillary Had No Idea Why People Chanted ‘Lock Her Up’ During The Election” HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/09/hillary-no-idea-people-chanted-lock-election/
This is … this is just … there’s nothing I can write that will prepare you for what will undoubtedly be the worst campaign advertisement you’ve ever seen.
Meet Dan Helmer. He’s a Democrat running for Congress in Virginia’s 10th district against Republican Rep. Barbara Comstock. He just released this new campaign ad, and I made it 14 seconds before I had to turn it off.
Can you do better?
My editor said I had to watch the whole thing if I wanted to write about it, so, let’s discuss.
Everything is wrong with this vid. The cheesy “Top Gun” rip-off in the beginning. The “Veteran” t-shirt that lets you know, “Hey, this guy is a veteran!” Because, apparently, there was no subtler way to tell people that.
And then there’s the atmosphere. This guy pulls up on a motorcycle to a driving, crunchy guitar riff and walks into a bar. What a badass.
Then Mr. Badass Democrat breaks into off-key sing-song. “Cringe-worthy” is an understatement.
Everything you need to know about this ad can be summed up by the first YouTube comment from Ipayne5001: “Yo bro there’s still time to remove this before anyone sees it.”
It’s too late, Ipayne5001. We’ve seen it, and we can’t go back. (For more from the author of “Democrat Releases WORST Campaign Ad You Will EVER See” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/09/democrat-releases-worst-campaign-ad-will-ever-see/
By Evan Perez, Shimon Prokupecz and Pamela Brown. US investigators wiretapped former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort under secret court orders before and after the election, sources tell CNN, an extraordinary step involving a high-ranking campaign official now at the center of the Russia meddling probe.
The government snooping continued into early this year, including a period when Manafort was known to talk to President Donald Trump.
Some of the intelligence collected includes communications that sparked concerns among investigators that Manafort had encouraged the Russians to help with the campaign, according to three sources familiar with the investigation. Two of these sources, however, cautioned that the evidence is not conclusive.
Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, which is leading the investigation into Russia’s involvement in the election, has been provided details of these communications. (Read more from “U.S. Wiretapped Former Trump Campaign Chairman” HERE)

Trump’s Former Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort Was Wiretapped by U.S. Government
By Harriet Sinclair. Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort was wiretapped by U.S. investigators prior to and following the 2016 presidential election, sources claim. The wiretapping of Manafort as part of the investigation into Russia’s alleged interference in the U.S. election came under court orders, sources with knowledge of the issue told CNN . . .
The investigation and surveillance of Manafort was subsequently dropped in 2016, the sources told CNN, but began once again under a new order from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, as part of the FBI’s investigation into possible links between Trump’s team and Russia in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election, the sources added.
Manafort, who denied any wrongdoing in August 2016 after The New York Times revealed that he was due to receive a cash payment from Ukraine’s ruling party, was also present at the controversial meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, ahead of which Trump’s eldest son was promised damaging information about Hillary Clinton.
Although surveillance of Manafort is believed to have taken place both during the campaign and after Trump assumed office, no recordings of the meeting with Veselnitskaya — which has now become a part of the greater Russia probe – have been found. However, the surveillance period could have included times when Manafort spoke with Trump after the latter took office.
