It is amazing how quickly the focus in DC can change from fiscal matters to something entirely different.  Politicians remind me of three-year old children – easily distracted.  Never mind the huge deficits and fiscal crisis we have on our hands which has not been addressed in over twelve years!  I know – let’s talk about federal immigration reform or better yet, federal gun control laws… whatever is viewed as the next crisis is the one to which attention is given.  Reminds me of the old political saying – “Never let a good crisis go to waste”.

I wrote an e-mail to my House Representative a few weeks ago asking him to vote NO on the $50.4 billion dollar bill to approve aid to Hurricane Sandy victims because a large portion of the bill included spending for items that had absolutely nothing to do with aiding the storm victims.  In addition, there were no offsetting spending cuts.  The House could not even approve to cut spending to cover 1/3 of the cost of this bill.

As one of my favorite Washington DC correspondents, Jamie Dupree, posted on his blog: “While many Republicans wanted a smaller disaster relief bill, some of them refused to embrace a plan to pay for 1/3 of the plan, by using an across the board budget cut of 1.63% to trim $17 billion.  “Are we willing and able to do without anything?” asked a frustrated Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC), who saw 71 of his fellow Republicans vote against the offsetting budget cuts.  The move reinforced arguments by Democrats that the GOP loves to talk about cutting the budget and saving money, but doesn’t follow through.”

Think about this as it relates to your household budget.  Let’s say a disaster strikes – strong winds damage your home’s shingles and you need to have new shingles put on your roof.  Your insurance policy will cover the cost of replacing the shingles, BUT will require you to pay a $2,000 deductible.  The first item most of us would do is look at our budget and see what we need to cut in order to account for that unexpected $2,000 outlay.  Perhaps we have savings and can tap into that, have a line-of-credit and can borrow the funds, or can do the work ourselves.  Of course, we may decide to look for a second job and try to increase our revenue stream to pay for the $2,000, but putting these options aside, normal folks look to what they can cut to make up for this new “required” expense.  We may look at cutting entertainment or budgeted funds for clothes or simply decide not to get the roof fixed at this time.

Let’s face facts, neither Republicans nor Democrats are serious about budget cuts or reining in government spending.  Their actions over the previous twelve years (Bush and Obama administrations) make this evidently clear.  Our politicians are in the business of keeping our government growing – why do you think the seat of government continues to attract those looking for work?  A large % of the government’s spending manages to stay in DC – how convenient!

The choices we face in each election are pretty much as follows:

Vote Democrat for unbridled spending – after all for many Democrats there is no fiscal crisis – just keep raising the debt ceiling and borrowing funds – eventually the economy will come around and with the tax increases just introduced and the savings from Obamacare, enough revenue will be generated to deal with it (FAT CHANCE)!

But a vote for Republicans is just as bad – big talk about budget cuts when they can be used to criticize Democrats, but then go forward with huge increases in spending on military and other Republican favored programs.

The U.S. government has an enormous spending problem and I believe very few if any, of those who represent us on the Hill give a damn!

Olympic Arms Stands Up For The Constitution

 

Gun manufacturing company, Olympic Arms, Inc. has turned down a solicitation to advertise in the FOP Journal, the publication of the National Fraternal Order of Police.  The FOP very                         strongly supports the most extreme of gun control measures, highlighted by their jumping for joy over the Diane Feinstein proposal.  Olympic Arms issued a statement http://www.guns.com/2013/02/14/olympic-arms-halts-sales-to-new-york-law-enforcement/  with “grievances” listed as their reasons for refusing to advertise with the FOP.  They went even farther, saying they will not sell to, advertise with, or generally do business with any other entity supporting gun control, including the federal government. Other firearm manufacturers have also refused to sell to government entities.

Last Ounce of Courage: A Movie For Patriots

 

                        I just finished watching an incredible movie.  A few months ago I saw previews of a movie called “Last Ounce of Courage” and mentioned to my wife that I would like to see it.  She found it at Amazon.com and ordered it.  This movie had been sitting in a box with some others for quite some time and she pulled them out today and we decided to sit down and watch it tonight.

Orwellian Inauguration 2013

Except for the date, 1984, George Orwell had it right.

Replete with doublespeak, innuendos, and outright falsehoods, the Inauguration speech given by Barack Hussein Obama to launch his second term was a verbal déjà vu of the 2009 $787 billion stimulus package…a wish list for “progressives.”

Beginning with an invocation where the United States was describes as “One nation…indivisible…with liberty and justice for all.”  What happened to “under God” in that invocation?  When does one give an invocation at a presidential inauguration where the words of the American Pledge of Allegiance are intentionally edited to omit the word “under God”, and why?

That this glaring omission would be immediately followed by a magnificent rendition of The Battle Hymn of the Republic was truly ironic.

Then the Oval Office occupant, who happens to be the most politicized, divisive, partisan human in Washington DC, who has openly launched multi-pronged assaults upon the U.S. Constitution, publically committed perjury by taking the oath of office.

After that, the utter hypocrisy in his inaugural address was spoken before a gathering roughly one third the size of the 2009 inaugural crowd.

Obama preached that: “Together, we discovered that a free market only thrives when there are rules to ensure competition and fair play.”

Who decides what fair play is?  Who decides what rules will ensure competition?

The American free market Capitalist system and free people making decisions that are in their best interests ensure competition and define fair play, not government interference.

He continued: “For we, the people, understand that our country cannot succeed when a shrinking few do very well and a growing many barely make it. We believe that America’s prosperity must rest upon the broad shoulders of a rising middle class. We know that America thrives when every person can find independence and pride in their work; when the wages of honest labor liberate families from the brink of hardship.”

A people, freed from the shackles of needless government involvement, built America into the most inventive, prosperous, generous and powerful nation in world history.  No matter how long or how often the Marxist mantra of equality is repeated, those recitations do not change that a people free to pursue their happiness within a free market Capitalist system have a better chance of achieving prosperity than do unionized government sector clerks working for a federal ministry.

Obama pronounced: “For we remember the lessons of our past, when twilight years were spent in poverty, and parents of a child with a disability had nowhere to turn. We do not believe that in this country, freedom is reserved for the lucky, or happiness for the few. We recognize that no matter how responsibly we live our lives, any one of us, at any time, may face a job loss, or a sudden illness, or a home swept away in a terrible storm. The commitments we make to each other – through Medicare, and Medicaid, and Social Security – these things do not sap our initiative; they strengthen us. They do not make us a nation of takers; they free us to take the risks that make this country great.”

When twilight years were spent in poverty?  Before big government socialist programs, which now account for over fifty percent of federal spending by a government that is over $16 trillion in debt and which borrows over forty percent of every dollar spent, one’s twilight years were spent living with family, who took better care of their elders with far more love and concern than is possible from an impersonal government bureaucracy where the elderly individual is little more than a number.

When parents of a child with a disability had nowhere to turn?  Disabled children were loved and cared for by their families.  When families looked for help, they looked to churches and private charities.  They did not look to a bureaucrat more concerned with their own salaries and benefits than with the public they allegedly “served.”

This is where another item on the “progressive” laundry list comes to light.  Here Obama reveals that based upon the junk science propagandizing “climate change” mythology, the disastrous waste of money on green energy companies and the lining of his political supports’ pockets at taxpayer’s expense will both continue unabated.

A true display of “progressive” doublespeak followed: “We will defend our people and uphold our values through strength of arms and rule of law.”

Through the strength of arms?  This coming from a politician who, despite the fact that Islamofascists are waging war on America, is bent on retreating from the battlefield, unilateral nuclear disarmament and reducing national defense?

Rule of law?  This from a fringe leftist career politician who chooses which laws his Attorney General enforces based upon their partisan political agenda?  Who ignores legally passed laws while violating the U.S. Constitution by dictating his own through Executive Order?

On foreign policy the newspeak was on crystal clear display: “America will remain the anchor of strong alliances in every corner of the globe; and we will renew those institutions that extend our capacity to manage crisis abroad, for no one has a greater stake in a peaceful world than its most powerful nation.”

America will remain the anchor of strong alliances?  This from someone who upon taking office shipped the bust of Winston Churchill back to Great Britain and who displays open disdain for Israel and its leaders?  Who continues to put Israel at existential risk by insisting on negotiating with an inflexible Iranian theocracy committed to Israel’s destruction?  Who rushed the withdrawal from Iraq, thereby squandering the blood, treasure and sacrifice spent to create another ally in the Middle East, and is rushing withdrawal from Afghanistan, risking that the Taliban and Al Qaeda will fill the vacuum?

Then, a true display of the “progressive” agenda for the next four years was displayed with: “For our journey is not complete until our wives, our mothers, and daughters can earn a living equal to their efforts.  Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law – for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well. Our journey is not complete until no citizen is forced to wait for hours to exercise the right to vote. Our journey is not complete until we find a better way to welcome the striving, hopeful immigrants who still see America as a land of opportunity; until bright young students and engineers are enlisted in our workforce rather than expelled from our country. Our journey is not complete until all our children, from the streets of Detroit to the hills of Appalachia to the quiet lanes of Newtown, know that they are cared for, and cherished, and always safe from harm.”

Promoting gay marriage, attacking voter registration laws, amnesty through immigration reform and disarmament of Americans through gun control will be on the Oval Office check list.

Then the ultimate in hypocrisy was revealed: “For now decisions are upon us, and we cannot afford delay. We cannot mistake absolutism for principle, or substitute spectacle for politics, or treat name-calling as reasoned debate.”

We cannot mistake absolutism for principle?  This from quite possibly the most inflexible absolutist in American political history?  The real crisis lies in “progressives” mistaking Americans standing on American principles for absolutism.

We cannot substitute spectacle for politics?  This from a non-stop political campaigner who is the poster child for photo-ops?

We cannot treat name-calling as reasoned debate?  This from a rigid political ideolog who lectures and scolds his political opponents over their choice of words but remains absolutely silent when his political brethren use far more incendiary, unreasoned and divisive words?

There was nothing about the economy.  There was virtually nothing about job creation, deficit or debt reduction.

This was a declaration that once again the era of big government is at hand.

Unlike the great inaugural speeches of the past, this was not a call for national unity, but a call to arms for his “progressive” allies.  

With this speech Barack Hussein Obama ensures that America will remain the divided States.  He confirms that compromise in any way shape or form is at the bottom of his list of priorities.  As was the case in his first term, the destruction of his political opposition remains his primary concern.

It seems Oklahoma’s fine senior senator once again has no qualms about telling We the People how stupid we are and how wonderful he is.  With the “fiscal cliff” vote, in which he voted for the measure after taking an entire three minutes to peruse the 154 pages contained within, Senator Bullcrap took a great deal of criticism from local talk radio.  Tulsa radio station KFAQ’s Pat Campbell Show listeners were highly critical.   As a frequent listener I find Campbell to be very fiscally conservative and more moderate on social issues.  Senator Bullcrap didn’t appreciate the criticism so he called the Pat Campbell Show to “explain himself”, and how important it was to vote for this travesty (http://www.1170kfaq.com/podcasts/patcampbell/185414432.html).  He proceeded to explain how We the People benefitted because had the measure not passed taxes would have gone up a whole lot more than they did on a lot more people that they did and that he “protected” 98% of said We the People by making the 2001 and 2003 tax rates permanent for most Americans (chant the party line, blah, blah, blah).  If you take a good look at whose taxes aren’t going up and whose are going up you see a very different story than is being bandied about by both sides.  Warren Buffett and Donald Trump came out just fine, thank you!!! As did Hollywood and the typical Democrat money groups!!! Oh, and spending is still going up.

Energy Starts American Recovery

4063595624?profile=originalAmerica needs to become energy independent. America’s dependence on foreign energy puts her at great risk in a world that grows increasingly unstable. Given the current political upheavals in the Middle East, this reality is more than slapping America in the face.

Those who claim to be “progressive” feel a compulsive obsession to force Americans into accepting the “green energy” fantasy. Three plus years of actions taken by the current administration and fellow “progressives” show a willingness to achieve this end at any and all costs. Stiffer standards on auto emissions and mileage, crushing EPA regulations on energy providers, opposing development of domestic energy reserves, copious deficit spending on inefficient and noncompetitive solar, wind, tide and bio-fuel technologies besmirch the White House’s energy policy.

While such “progressive” measures theoretically “promote” development of “green” energies, they dictate a highly impatient, frantic pace that is crippling the American economy. They force the issue during a stubborn, recovery-resistant recession that is teetering on the brink of a full-blown depression.

America’s public and industrial infrastructures use petroleum, natural gas and coal, as well as limited nuclear power. Nearly every vehicle that is driven on American roads burns gasoline or diesel fuel. Public transportation relies on fossil fuels as well. Natural gas, heating oil and coal are used in furnaces to heat homes and places of business. Coal and nuclear power generate electricity, which powers countless devices; the uses of which are taken for granted every day. Coal, natural gas and petroleum products power American’s industrial complex, the base of the economic engine. America’s economy depends heavily on existing energy. The methods of providing and consuming energy are deeply ingrained into American business, industry, home life and recreation.

Expecting to change the methods of powering a society of over 300 million people overnight is unrealistic. While whatever conversions that do make sense are taking place, what energy is going power manufacturing, delivering and installing windmills, solar panels, turbines, generators and the power grid needed to provide “green” energy to the public? Will it be the “green” energy that is still under development? No. The energy that’s going to be used will be traditional fuels.

Why does America continue to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on foreign energy while there is undeveloped energy in its own country? Why doesn’t America keep those billions of dollars at home, in its own cash starved economy?

At a time when millions of Americans are looking for work and its economy is starving for liquid capital, why4063595642?profile=original doesn’t America take advantage of its own wealth of natural resources? Why aren’t Americans drilling for oil and natural gas or digging for coal? Why aren’t people working building refineries and power plants? Why aren’t people delivering gas, coal and natural gas to consumers? How many peripheral jobs will be created in the process? For every new oil well, power plant, refinery or mine there will be new roads built, followed by restaurants, stores and housing. All generated by the only force capable of powering America’s economic recovery: the private sector.

In the interest of national security and job creation, America should put Americans back to work delivering American energy to Americans. This is the best way to become energy independent. Forcing “green energy” on America overnight will only lead to economic destruction.

Romney-Obama: Two Speeches, Two Views

Despite recognition by virtually everyone but the Oval Office that the White House trumpeted anti-Islamist video trailer has next to nothing to do with violence in the Middle East, and that it is simply a re-election 4063584040?profile=originaldistraction ploy that deflects blame from Obama’s failed foreign policy; in his speech to the United Nations General Assembly Barack Obama continued to blame the video for Mid-East riots and violent demonstrations.

Obama used that narrative as the backdrop for saying there is "No speech that justifies mindless violence.  There are no words that excuse the killing of innocents" and "No video that justifies an attack on an embassy".  Obama also said that the video "is an insult not only to Muslims, but to America as well."

So Obama recognizes that UN member states do not share American views on the protection of free speech by the U.S. Constitution.

What is Obama doing about it?  Recognizing that Islamists will continue to launch military assaults upon American embassies and consulates around the world while he continues to lay the blame at the feet of Americans exercising their right to free speech?

For his part, Obama admitted to viewing Netanyahu’s requests for the U.S. to take a harder stance against Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons as “noise” he must ignore when making American security decisions.

Hate, fear and smear!! “Shame on you Barack Obama!!” - Feb 23, 2008

He is quite familiar with the hate, fear and smear art form practiced by his fellow democratic leaders. He uses it with adept frequency. The president flies into crucial swing states like Ohio, Florida, and Virginia with his practiced hanging drawl. He then enchants the black locals with notions of sugar plum government programs that will make their life better, if they give him the same chance they did in 2008.

This is done with no reflection upon their own increasing misery index which just happens to coincide with Obama’s increased abandonment of any job, education, or community safety-net promises made. Instead, it is only through continued black misery indexing upward can Obama and democrats continue their titanium plantation grip upon over 90 percent of America’s black electorate.

Where’s the beef? Where are the jobs?

The goal of democrat plantation politics has been to find a convenient and perpetual target that can be feared, hated, smeared and consequently demonized. Republicans are that target group, which unions, democrat community organizers like Obama, and democrat political machine leaders have made their primary election year goal.

Of course with the compliance of the NAACP, as their contracted plantation house servant, the nefarious and typically highly emotionally charged negative rhetoric rings off of church and community center walls every election season. But what are universally missing are the facts of Republican misdeeds. As the GOP nominee to be President of the United States, it would seem reasonable to expect that members of your own political Party would support you.

Apparently, for Mitt Romney, that is an unreasonable expectation.

Noonan continued: “It’s not big, it’s not brave, it’s not thoughtfully tackling great issues.  It’s always been too small for the moment.  All the activists, party supporters and big donors should be pushing for change.”

She doubled down later, when she said: “The Romney campaign has to get turned around. This week I called it incompetent, but only because I was being polite. I really meant ‘rolling calamity.’”

This is not entirely unexpected from someone who’s credentials were built on being a speech writer for a President who had very little need for speechwriters, who of her own free will turned her back on her political Party to publically support an obviously inexperienced, unqualified, community organizer who was manufactured into a pop star candidate by institutionalized “progressive” leftists in America’s media.  A candidate who had never run a business, never met a payroll…who had voted “present” over one hundred times as an Illinois State Senator.  A candidate who had lived his entire life not only surrounded by anti-American radicals, but who when in school actively sought them out.

The attacks coming from Bill Kristol, editor of the 'Weekly Standard', who worked as chief of staff to former Vice President Dan Quayle, are less explainable.

When Kristol states that this election features “two candidates who have done so little over their lifetimes for our country” is he honestly comparing a former community organizer (radicalizer) who since moving into the White House has continuously placed obstacles in the path of job creating small businesses, stifled energy development, socialized huge portions of the private sector economy, and created catastrophic  chaos overseas, to a capital investor who succeeded within the American free market enterprise system, saved businesses from insolvency, created jobs, protected the nation from international embarrassment when he rescued the Salt Lake City Olympic Games from bankruptcy, who as Governor reduced his State’s debt without raising taxes while improving their schools to the best in the country?  Or is Kristol just trying to sound important in hopes of remaining relevant?

When asked in 1995 to explain his vision of democracy, Obama said:

Now it has been revealed by witnesses "that there was never an anti-American protest outside of the consulate [in Benghazi, Libya]. Instead, they say, it came under planned attack. That is in direct contradiction to the administration's account of the incident."

The subtext under that headline: The move came with Romney's campaign struggling with just seven weeks before election-day.

This is a case in point that clearly illustrates unmistakable bias against GOP nominee Mitt Romney.

The article opens by stating that “Tim Pawlenty quit as co-chair of Mitt Romney's presidential campaign on 4063581620?profile=originalThursday to become one of Wall Street's top lobbyists in Washington. Pawlenty, a former governor of Minnesota, will lead the Financial Services Roundtable.”

Notice the phrase “quit as co-chair”.  Why was it not: “resigned as co-chair”?  Note that the article ensures that in the very first paragraph readers are told that the quitter Pawlenty is going to “become one of Wall Street's top lobbyists in Washington.”

How, exactly, do Oliver Knox and Yahoo News know that Pawlenty will “become one of Wall Street's top lobbyists in Washington”?

If Olivier Knox and Yahoo News are truly so proficient at forecasting the future, why are they not using this supernatural power to clue America in on how to solve its myriad of problems at home and abroad?

Another Day Another Disaster

Romney Should Not Back Down

This is a typical “progressive” tactic used to distract attention away from the Obama damaging, bogus explanation for anti-American violence occurring across the Middle East.  A completely implausible explanation created by the White House and propagated by America’s so-called mainstream news media.

Aiming to reinforce the false “progressive” narrative that Romney is an out of touch rich guy, Baily wears her “progressive” bias openly.   She begins her “news story” with:

“Mitt Romney stood by his comments captured on a hidden camera at a closed-door fundraiser earlier this year in which he called supporters of President Barack Obama "victims" and said they are reliant on government handouts.

In a hastily arranged news conference Monday night, he called his words "off the cuff" and "not elegantly stated," but given several opportunities to back off the comments, he did not.”

Note Baily’s use of the words “hastily arranged news conference”, an example of propagating the phony meme that Romney’s campaign is disorganized.

In typical “progressive” Party Pravda fashion, Baily misrepresents both Romney’s message and his actual point.

What Romney said was:

Any fair minded individual capable of grasping electoral reality comprehends why Romney would say his job as candidate is not to worry about going after voters who common sense dictates will vote for Obama.

By the same rationale, Obama would not choose to waste his time chasing after Tea Party votes.

Common sense and logic seem to be vital elements missing in “progressive” “news” stories.  Instead, the “progressives” focused on smearing Mitt Romney for simply speaking the truth.

It is the truth that 47 percent of Americans pay no income tax.  The “progressive” “defense” against this fact is to say those people do pay payroll taxes, sales taxes, etc.  Unfortunately for “progressives”, the hole in their “defense” is; the people who do pay income tax pay all those other taxes too.

It is true that people in America who pay no income tax are not going to be motivated by a candidate who promises lower taxes.  Why would they care about tax rates that have zero effect on them?

Except to favor of increases on others so the government can afford to give them more stuff…

There are an unacceptable number of people in America who are dependent upon government.  Many, if not most, see themselves as victims.  They believe they are “entitled” to “free” healthcare, food stamps, “affordable housing” and welfare payments.  They are being taught by the big-government centrally planned Department of Education that government’s job is to take care of them.

"Barbie Obama's" Fairytale

Then and now, how four years can change the Barack and Michelle Obama rhetoric – it’s like Ken & Barbie Obama had a Mattel makeover right in front of our eyes.  The speech last night by Michelle Obama was polished and unless one knew the truth it would be easy to fall into the same dismal political Obama pit of 2008. 

 

Michelle Obama has moved into the clutches of the Obama Administration and Liberal News Media and is now but a victim of the times. The story told last night by Michelle Obama at the DNC Convention was nothing more than a fairytale Cinderella story that was devoid and empty of truth – a story concocted to prey on the emotions of the poor, women, the African American Community and the Hispanics. 

 

Michelle set the scene describing Obama’s youth describing him as a poor boy without a penny to his name driving an old rusty worn out car and wearing shoes a size too small.  She spins a story about an unknown, knowing full well that none of us have seen his student loans and most of us believe he had a free educational ride here as a foreign student.

 

In fact, none of us know who this person that some call President Obama really is – the little bit we do know isn’t exactly the kind of information that would make us believe he is or was qualified to lead our Country. His past 3 ½ years confirms that suspicion.

 

The fact is last night’s speech by Michelle Obama was just a rerun of Obama’s 2008 speeches. She painted a false image of the man she calls her husband – it’s hard to believe that Democrats actually think most Americans will buy the regurgitated “hope and change.”

 

The changes in 3 ½ years are the most devastatingly changes of our lifetime. Our hard earned money, retirement and our hope was crushed by Obama. He stole our stimulus money for his friends, special interest groups, Unions and corrupt lending institutions. He increased our National Debt over 5 trillion dollars – he squandered our monies on his personal sacred cows.

 

So when Michelle says he’s a caring person fighting for his Country I beg to differ with her.  He is a dictator striving to promote a new world order and destroy the greatest Nation in the World.

 

When Michelle mentions women and how Obama is fighting for them – that’s an outright lie or fabrication. During his term as President he has actively under a guise campaigned against women, all women and not one thing outside of securing a few condoms, promise of sex changes and some free healthcare that we’re all paying for can be attributed to Obama. Women are losing jobs daily, they have been relegated to the ancient history shelf with the promise that “big Daddy Government” will care for them.

 

She briefly mentioned education for our youth – the fact is our college graduates are living in their parents’ garages or basements. No jobs and no hope of jobs!

 

What Michelle didn’t mention which confirms the shallow platform of the Democrats is: (1)  high unemployment, (2) National Deficit over 16 trillion, (3) Businesses big and small closing their doors or moving out of our Country and (4) The fact we’re not better off then we were four years ago. 

 

Democrats have controlled the Government since 2006.  They have refused to even try to balance our budget. They are addicted to spending much more than we take in and their platform is nothing but a bunch of “hope and change” rhetoric without solutions, without substantial realistic plans to restore our weakened Nation.

 

As Ronald Reagan said "Government is not the solution to our problem. Government is the problem."

Romney, Ryan, Republicans-Ready to Lead

4063571973?profile=originalWith the strong backing of an energized Republican Party and a diverse team of rising stars, candidate Mitt Romney formally accepted the GOP nomination to be President of the United States.

Recalling the excitement and optimism of the presidential race of four years ago, Romney pointed out how those elevated expectations and the bevy of promises that came with those expectations have led to disappointment over opportunities lost:

“Every family in America wanted this to be a time when they could get ahead a little more, put aside a little more for college, do more for their elderly mom who's living alone now or give a little more to their church or charity.

Every small business wanted these to be their best years ever, when they could hire more, do more for those who had stuck with them through the hard times, open a new store or sponsor that Little League team.

Every new college graduate thought they'd have a good job by now, a place of their own, and that they could start paying back some of their loans and build for the future.

This is when our nation was supposed to start paying down the national debt and rolling back those massive deficits.  This was the hope and change America voted for.  It's not just what we wanted. It's not just what we expected.

It's what Americans deserved.”

Romney shared the pain and hardship everyday Americans have felt over the past four years as the result of the current administration’s failed economic policies:

 “You deserved it because during these years, you worked harder than ever before. You deserved it because when it cost more to fill up your car, you cut out movie nights and put in longer hours. Or when you lost that job that paid $22.50 an hour with benefits, you took two jobs at 9 bucks an hour and fewer benefits. You did it because your family depended on you. You did it because you're an American and you don't quit. You did it because it was what you had to do.

But driving home late from that second job, or standing there watching the gas pump hit 50 dollars and still going, when the realtor told you that to sell your house you'd have to take a big loss, in those moments you knew that this just wasn't right.”

He then pointed to the morning light peeking over the horizon by reminding Americans “Now is the moment when we can stand up and say, ‘I'm an American. I make my destiny. And we deserve better! My children deserve better! My family deserves better. My country deserves better!’”

Romney then went on a brief autobiographical journey.  He reminded Americans who know him, and 4063572066?profile=originalrevealed to those who do not, that his life has been a familiar American story.  The son of immigrants, whose parents worked hard to give him opportunities they never had.  By example they taught him the value of hard work and enterprise, and the meaning of love.   He met the love of his life, and with her raised a happy, loving family of their own.  He summed up by saying “And that's how it is in America. We look to our communities, our faiths, our families for our joy, our support, in good times and bad. It is both how we live our lives and why we live our lives. The strength and power and goodness of America has always been based on the strength and power and goodness of our communities, our families, our faiths.”

Next, he outlined the story of his business career, where struggles to launch Bain Capital were rewarded by success: “That business we started with 10 people has now grown into a great American success story. Some of the companies we helped start are names you know. An office supply company called Staples – where I'm pleased to see the Obama campaign has been shopping; The Sports Authority, which became a favorite of my sons. We started an early childhood learning center called Bright Horizons that First Lady Michelle Obama rightly praised. At a time when nobody thought we'd ever see a new steel mill built in America, we took a chance and built one in a corn field in Indiana. Today Steel Dynamics is one of the largest steel producers in the United States.”

Romney chose that moment to remind Americans that attacking success is “the centerpiece of the President's entire re-election campaign… Is it any wonder that someone who attacks success has led the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression?  In America, we celebrate success, we don't apologize for it.”

He then reminded voters “That is why every president since the Great Depression who came before the American people asking for a second term could look back at the last four years and say with satisfaction: "you are better off today than you were four years ago."  Except Jimmy Carter.  And except this president.”

Mitt Romney understands that for America to work and for Americans to succeed, they need jobs.  “Lots of jobs,” and how the current administration’s policies “…have not helped create jobs, they have depressed them.”

Romney put American voters on fair notice when he warned them:

 “To the majority of Americans who now believe that the future will not be better than the past, I can guarantee you this: if Barack Obama is re-elected, you will be right.”

Romney then outlined his five point plan to revitalize the American economy:

“First, by 2020, North America will be energy independent by taking full advantage of our oil and coal and gas and nuclear and renewables.

Second, we will give our fellow citizens the skills they need for the jobs of today and the careers of tomorrow. When it comes to the school your child will attend, every parent should have a choice, and every child should have a chance.

Third, we will make trade work for America by forging new trade agreements. And when nations cheat in trade, there will be unmistakable consequences.

Fourth, to assure every entrepreneur and every job creator that their investments in America will not vanish as have those in Greece, we will cut the deficit and put America on track to a balanced budget.

And fifth, we will champion SMALL businesses, America's engine of job growth. That means reducing taxes on business, not raising them. It means simplifying and modernizing the regulations that hurt small business the most. And it means that we must rein in the skyrocketing cost of healthcare by repealing and replacing Obamacare.”

On foreign policy, Romney criticized the current administration for their failure to slow Iran's nuclear threat, for how they have disrespected allies like Israel and Poland, and sought to appease Russia.  He assured Americans that “Under my administration, our friends will see more loyalty, and Mr. Putin will see a little less flexibility and more backbone.”

The current White House occupant, in a calculated, targeted attack against Republican rival Mitt Romney, attempted to dismiss a key Romney rationale for his presidential candidacy by saying: "When you're 4063554347?profile=originalpresident, as opposed to the head of a private equity firm, then your job is not simply to maximize profits. Your job is to figure out how everybody in the country has a fair shot."

It is quite obvious that occupy Oval Office is shockingly unfamiliar with the concept that jobs are downstream from profits, not the other way around. With the exception of the original staff, which is hired to launch a company via startup capital (notice that here too, private capital comes before hiring), businesses only become financially capable of hiring more workers after they have made profits. Being profitable gives them the capital needed to pay for expansion, which then creates the need to hire additional employees. This is especially true of small businesses, most of which are decidedly not over funded with start-up capital.

According to "progressives", the rich are somehow preventing the middle class from having a fair shot because the rich are depriving the middle class by not paying "their fair share" of taxes. The "progressive" concept of the middle class having a fair shot is stealing money from those who have earned it through initiative, hard work, risk and sacrifice within the free market capitalist system through "progressive" taxation and use that money, acquired through legal extortion, to hire unionized government sector workers. Workers who will not only be paid more than their counterparts who are doing the same job in the private sector, but who will enjoy Cadillac healthcare and pension benefits provided to them by a taxpayer 4063561351?profile=originalfunded job from which, thanks to union demands, being fired will be a virtual impossibility.

Still wonder why "progressives" love government sector unions?

Such an arrangement is perfectly suited to "progressives", who are huge proponents of centrally planned big government. Workers dependent upon government for their livelihood are reliably more likely to re-elect big government candidates. They are also far more likely to pay little concern to how much the rich are taxed, since the taxes of unionized government workers won’t be affected.  That is, if they’re even required to pay taxes. Their big government big brothers take care of them.

Of course, the "they don’t pay their fair share" rhetoric is a complete sham, a straw-man argument. Truth be known, the "they don't pay their fair share" rhetoric is a bold faced lie. The top 10% earners in America pay 70% of the income taxes while 47% of Americans pay no income tax. They pay zero.

How much of a tax on the rich would be enough to satisfy "progressives"? How much of someone else's money does the Oval Office need to take for the middle class to have "a fair shot"? The 100% rate Barrack Obama Sr. sought to impose on Kenya’s rich after he seized power?

Can you say redistributive dreams from my Marxist father?

This clearly demonstrates how clueless Barrack Hussein Obama is about the way America was designed by its Founding Fathers. Having a fair shot in America has never been about big government stealing from the rich to finance hiring unionized government sector workers.

Instead of digging the United States into an ever-deepening hole by reducing available free market capital through higher tax rates, how about creating some certainty for investors by making permanent changes to America’s needlessly complicated tax code? How about creating a simplified tax code that provides incentives for investment? How about creating a tax code that’s doesn’t punish small businesses by forcing them  each year to divert limited precious capital to pay the cost of hiring accountants and attorneys to decipher an ever "evolving", increasingly complicated tax code? How about creating an economic environment where the rich, middle class and poor alike all feel it’s worth the risk to invest in a start-up business? Thanks to existing, unnecessarily high "progressive" tax rates and expanding, restrictive, needlessly expensive regulatory oppression, starting up a new business today is practically impossible.

Better still, how about "progressives" going back to school to learn what America is really all about? In the meantime, they should leave running America to Americans.

Obama has had four years.  He got his fair shot, and he blew it.

After 100 years of progressively expanding government intrusion into the God given Rights and Liberties of free people, it is now time to forever close the book on the failed "progressive" experiment.

Crist has betrayed American taxpayers before.  He supported the $787 billion “stimulus” boondoggle, which did little to fund shovel ready infrastructure projects but went a long way towards rewarding big “progressive” 2008 presidential campaign bundlers who “just happened” to run “green energy” companies with lucrative loan guarantees and grants.  It also bailed out state and local governments guilty of practicing irresponsible fiscal policies for decades, especially where spending on government sector union contracts was concerned.  It was no accident that the lion’s share of “stimulus” spending “just happened” to have gone to “blue states”.   Crist’s decision to support the highly partisan, pork stuffed “stimulus” bill helped get the monstrous waste of money through Congress.

 “Moderate Republican” go-along to get-along me-first career politicians who, like Crist are so willing to compromise with the institutionalized “progressive” left cannot be trusted.

Tea Party principles are America’s principles.  To an intolerable degree, “Moderate Republicans” do not believe in or follow Tea Party principles. Quite often they appear to be completely devoid of principles.  They game the political system to gain power and prestige for themselves and themselves alone. They will turn on Americans faster than you can say Specter.

Conservative Tea Party Americans like Allen West, Marco Rubio, Jim DeMint, Pat Toomy, Rand Paul, Ron Johnson Michele Bachmann, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee have the guts to stand against the institutionalized “progressive” left.  They have the willingness, backbone and fortitude to preserve individual liberties, restore the U.S. Constitution, and a return to constitutionally limited government, a balanced budget, equal opportunity and equal protection under the law for all Americans.

Today’s Democratic Party is not your father's Democratic Party.  They keep insisting that Tea Party Republicans and their affiliates are "extreme".  Since when are protecting individual liberties, following the4063569006?profile=original U.S. Constitution, having constitutionally limited government and a balanced budget extreme?
