Who's to blame?
Both sides and the abject fear they've injected into the ongoing situation, and onto each other!
I was a patrolman for over 22 years, and watching the video, it looks like a case of a bad shooting so far, but not all of the evidence is in just yet. So, who is responsible, and more to the point, why are they responsible?
If you listen to the protesters on the Left, and the Democrat politicians, even an ex president; an overly enthusiastic federal agent acting like the Gestapo just murdered him.
If you listen to Homeland Security it was a justified self defense shooting. If you listen to other Federal agencies, there is reason for concern with all the speculation. That speculation is contributing to an escalation of tensions over the tragic incident.
In my limited knowledge seen on the video, it was a situation where everything that could go wrong did go wrong. It could be called wrongful death, or it could even be called negligent homicide. Based on what In saw and heard, it definitely is not murder like the left is saying, nor is it justified self defense like the Feds are saying.
Think about what has happened there, and what is also happening in only in Minnesota as of today. When you do that, I believe you will be closer to the truth of what happened and why it happened. The tragedy that happened has more ramifications that most people know.
It's not a question that Pretti had his gun legally on him, he was legally entitled to have it on him.
What we don't know, is what he was doing up until he was confronted by the Federal officer and put on the ground. There so far is no video on that segment of time coming forward. We do know that some people were shouting "GUN", and that is a trigger to trained officers to go on high alert. We do know that when the officer took Pretti's gun from his waistband, there was an accidental discharge. As of this writing nothing has been released about what or who caused the discharge.
We still don't know how that first 'accidental' shot was fired or who fired it. did the gun get dropped and fire like the p320'a are prone to do? Did the agent who, pulled it out of Pretti's waistband accidentally fire it? How many agents were screaming "GUN" before and during the time it was fired? Chaos would account for the mistakes, but the end result is an innocent dead person.
Lets explore a little more into some of the potential reasons;
Social Media has been inundated by calls from the left against ICE doing it's job and removing illegals like the law requires. Lately there have been actual, threats by influencers and rowdy actions by protestors aimed at ICE officers. Ask yourself this; If you were an ICE officer, legally tasked with rounding up illegals, and being attacked physically and slandered daily by fellow Americans, News Media, and Politicians, how safe would you feel? Especially since one of your own was rammed and almost run down by a protestor?
This set of conditions is a very serious problem, and if it's kept up it will be the underlaying cause of many more senseless deaths. As I said in the beginning, both sides are responsible for Pritti's death. The Left for their violent Rhetoric and Physical actions, and the Right for succumbing to the tensions and fears and calling mistakes self defense.
We do know that a lot of the protestors are being paid to protest and act up. If you don't believe me, go, to, the dark web and look at all the ads there. That needs to stop, and that also needs to be prosecuted. As far as I could tell on the dark web, there are three factions creating all the chaos and unrest for personal and political gain. I won't name them, if you want to find out who is behind this mess, go to that web and do your own research. That way you'll see the truth and believe it.

For one they found that just a week ago he was in a bit of a fight with ICE and ended up with a broken rib. This was not his first rodeo!
That still does not mean he should have been shot. The left is using that as an excuse to elevate him to Liberal Sainthood and they will use that during the coming mid-terms against us.
He was, also, in the signal chats that are being exposed. It appears he was fired from his job, his wife divorced him for his radicalization and his parents warned him about what he was doing. He was a loser.
I understand that Dee, from a tecnical/political standpoint, any police shooting board will call it a bad shooting. The reason for that is because the perp did not have a weapon visibly in his hand. They will contend the officer/agent reacted too fast. The most ,probable outcome will be the agent-s will be charged with accidential to wrongful death. EVERY TIME an officer or agent fires his weapon, except at a regulated firing range, even if it's an accidential discharge, a detailed report must be submitted by the officer/agent. It's as unfortunate as it is inevidible that they because of political pressures from the department, media, ect. will say the agent-s shot before they had fully determined what was going on at the scene. It's also unfortunate the shooting is examined and judged in the calm aftermath of the shooting, and not determined completely from the heart cracking instant it happens.
