Just imagine if the US Government made lobbyist payments to political officers and candidates ILLEGAL just how much less we would all pay for medications and healthcare! This type of activity is what has so corrupted our government at all levels and it needs to STOP!!!

Lobbyist of all kinds own our congressional representatives (at least most of them). Sorry to say it is human nature. How does anyone think that they come into congress with very little and exit being millionaires. Unfortuately they are more politician (focus on partisan gain, popularity, poll-driven decisions, compromise for expediency) and statesman (focus on Unity, moral leadership, sacrifice for the greater good, even if unpopular). I think we need term limits for all of them, not just the President. The idea that a congress critter would leave his business and serve a short period of time in the government (as was envisioned by our founders) is long gone.
