BIG SODA seems to be paying off influencers to oppose a ban on using SNAP funds to purchase soda.

Since SNAP is a taxpayer funded program, the government has EVERY RIGHT to add soda to the prohibited items list.
Note: I follow all these accounts but disagree with them on this. pic.twitter.com/oe5hCwCdug
🚨 Large Soda Companies are paying “influencers” upwards of $1,000 PER POST to lobby against the SNAP (food stamp) soda ban

Why?
Because Coca-Cola and PepsiCo pull in over $5 BILLION each year off taxpayer-funded food stamps.
DON’T FALL FOR IT. Big Soda is paying for these… https://t.co/CQmhSUR4oW pic.twitter.com/w9mTRbXZcs

Yeah, Snap has been abused horribly in years gone by. Back in the day when Snap issued a printed dollars a LOT OF recipients would trade cash for cigarettes & or beer whiskey ect. Nobody cared.
The SNAP program has been abused for many years and must be very closely regulated. I believe that Food Stamps should be limited to ONLY fresh/frozen meat, bread, fresh/frozen/canned vegetables, milk, cheese, butter, pasta, and nothing more.
100% agree!!!
People can be free to decide for themselves if THEY are paying for it! I agree- taxpayer money should not be used.
Anyway, too much soda is not good for you. My dad was a chemist and warned me against drinking Coka Cola . I go for ginger ale- good taste and if you have nausea it can help.
Kombucha is really good for us. I recommend it. For some kick, too.
It is good! But for some reason I only like it when it goes flat🥴
Flat?!! NOoooo!
KICK IT!!
