Years ago, I worked under a manager who's favorite phrase was "CONDENSE, CONDENSE, CONDENSE" and it worked well; we were always able to gain more space to display new merchandise, so sales goals kept climbing. Sorry, that was in "retail", not government, but the results would be the same, in that government would become far more efficient and far less costly!!
What is her plan for replacing the ATF. I think they've been out of control for years, but their functions need to be carried out by some department. So who/what?
As I state below, the FBI, DEA and ATF need to be abolished and any of their functions which do not already reside in the Federal Marshalls Service (FMS) transferred to the FMS. We have way too many Federal Law Enforcement Bureaucracies and it is time to eliminate as many as possible and collapse them into a single entity to take care of policing interstate and international crime. In the process, President Trump needs to overturn the Patriot Act, eliminating the Department of Homeland Security and transfer the subordinate agencies' and bureaus' responsibilities into a couple of consolidated agencies. The US Coast Guard needs to go back to the US Department of Defense on a permanent basis. US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be combined into a single US Agency under the Department of the Interior. FEMA should just be disbanded and the individual States forced to take over its current responsibilities, The US Secret Service should go back to the US Department of the Treasury. It is a fact that it is cheaper and many times more efficient to have a flatter management structure. Currently, the Federal Government has way too many Departments, Agencies, Bureaus, Boards, and Offices which creates multiple layers of management and allows for finger pointing. A flatter structure with a CLEAR chain of command is much more efficient, cost effective, AND ACCOUNTABLE!!!

President Trump needs to work with the Republican Congress to dissolve the FBI, DEA, and ATF, collapsing their missions and transfering required capabilities into the Federal Marshalls Service AND dissolve the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) Division into the US Secret Service.
