Just think of all the white folks who died to make it possible for Black people to be free! This makes the case for history to be taught in our government schools. This woman is extremely ignorant. I don't think she will be back in Congress for 2027.
It was the Southern Democrats who formed the Confederacy. The Democrats elected their own President, printed their own money, built an army, created new uniforms, built a Navy, had their own capital, and killed hundreds of thousands of citizen soldiers, burned cities, and did all this and more so they could keep their slaves. It was the 1st Republican, Abraham Lincoln, who had to stop them!
