Per Grok:

This arrangement stems from constitutional tradition and law, where elected officials like Congress members, the President, and Supreme Court justices are deemed trustworthy by their positions, exempting them from executive branch clearance rules per Congressional Research Service reports.

Congressional staff do undergo background investigations for clearances when needed, but members face no such formal vetting, a system shaped by separation of powers that has sparked debate over risks versus democratic accountability.

  • There are several levels of clearances. Being elected to Congress, the basic level of 'Confidential' is granted.

This means the Congressperson can be on caucuses and read secure material while performing their duties in the legislative process.

  • Our entire government is one huge fiasco and dirtbags of thieves, liars and frauds. All three branches, all I have to do is turn my head towards Bush 1 and 2, Clinton, 0 and every congressperson who votes 0 for the constitution and the courts who have to yet define something like the word, "alive," or "he or she."

Damn them all. Richer than they deserve, all on our backs, PLUS insider trading.
