Yep Zelinski just shot himself in the foot big time!! He had dollar signs in his eyes. That affects your brain and then you can't Think.
Our ignorant European NATO Allies had better pull their collective heads out of their arse and recognize that Zelensky and Ukraine are just as corrupt as Puting and Russia! What Zelensky could not understand about the agreement President Trump offered him was that if Zelensky gave the US the rights to Ukrainian Rare Earth Minerals, those minerals are located in the Russian Occupied areas of Ukraine, thus, if the US is going to exploit those minerals, the US would have to send companies and maybe even security forces to those areas to secure our access to those minerals. This places the US between Zelensky and Putin and allows for Zelensky to regain control of lost territory while giving Puting a face-saving way out of Ukraine. Of course, Zelenky isn't the only idiot who fails to see this... AKA the entirety of the Demoncratic Party can't see it either. Once again, President Trump is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. Including, our NATO Allies who have a whole lot more to lose in a WW3 scenario than we do!
The "European NATO Allies" don't exist anymore because NATO is as good as dead. The Europeans are an unreliable bunch. Fortunately we have new allies whose goals align with ours. To start, President Putin already praised the fact that the USA is now aligned with Russia on the Ukrainian issue. This is just the beginning.
What the hell are you talking about Paul? Where do you get this "information"? Where did Putin paise Trump over his alignment with Russia? Trump is no friend of Putin. I'll repeat.....Trump is no FRIEND of Putin, no more a friend of Putin than he is a friend of Kim Jong-un, Xi, Maduro, and all the other communist murderers! You might want to repeat, Trump is no friend of Putin, Trump is no friend of Putin, Trump is no friend of Putin.......until it sinks in! Just because he set Zelenskyy straight and told him to go home, doesn't make him align with Putin nor his friend. Trump would do the same with Putin if he agreed and then backed out of signing the deal last second!
Trump cannot be aligned with either Russia nor with Ukraine, he is trying to work out a peace agreement, that means deplomacy, trying to bring enemies to agree on how to stop the killing, and he is trying to make sure we get paid back for the billions we gave to Ukraine. Trump and Putin aren't buddies, the only reason Trump doesn't call Putin a warmonger, a murderous SOB is because he is trying to work out a peace agreement! Let's try this, Trump and Putin aren't Buddies, Trump and Putin aren't buddies, Trump and Putin aren't buddies.......perhaps it will stick!
NATO is 32 countries.....including the USA, it covers almost all the European countries, and all of North America! Like it or not it is a major alliance and Russia is not part of it, it was created to stand together against Russia, or any other adversary threatening any member country. Ukraine is one of the European countries NOT a member and not likely ever allowed to be a member. This agreement is all for one....if any of them are attacked they are all at war.....including us! Why is Putin so against NATO, if he has no desire to expand into any of them????? Hmmmmmm?
NATO is a problem but isn't dead, not likely to be dead as long as people like Putin leading countries like Russia are in power next door to Europe. The buffer between is Ukraine, a buffer for Putin.....and a buffer for Europe, unfortunately for Ukraine they are between a rock and a hard place because of their geography! Where am I getting my information? I read stuff, also international news. The Russian Secretary of State, Sergei Lavrov, praised President Trump in an interview in Red Star, a Russian newspaper with a long history. The Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Pescov said a couple of days ago that the new US foreign policy under President Trump aligns with Russia's vision.
I don't understand why you are so upset about this alignment. I totally get what President Trump is doing and I agree with him. Europe is unreliable except for Orban who is also in line with this new and pragmatic thinking. He has been killing lots of dumb efforts to speak out against Russia, to impose more sanctions, etc. Of course, he does all that while he makes Hungary into the most successful and thriving country in the EU where traditional values matter again.
I am from Hungary, fluent in Hungarian, go back to visit family so I am very up on what goes on in Hungary, I read the news in Hungarian.....I am aware probably a bit more so than you think you are! If you think Orban is buddies with Putin, you are a fool! He is willing to work with him, that's deplomacy, keep a workable relationship with him because they are only one country apart, and Hungary needs Russian energy until we can provide them with it, at that point Orban would gladly stop paying Russia and having to kiss Putin's ass! Orban is very aware of who Putin is, knows his history and trusts him as far as he can throw him! He knows Putin is manipulative, he knows his desire to recreate the former Soviet Union, so please stop making it sound like Orban is friends with Putin....there's no such thing, you are spreading a lie!
As far as Hungary being the most successful, thriving country in Europe.......is a dream of Hungarians but not a reality. It takes generations to recover from what PUTIN and his regime has done to that country. Orban is guiding them, leading them in the right direction, but it isn't easy when you are finally out of the clutches of the Soviets.....only to have Western Europe treat you like the unwanted step child.
I'm upset because you are pushing a lie! Neither Trump, nor Orban are buddies with Putin, we aren't on the same side, the only people pushing the idea that Trump is friends with Putin are on the left, continuously telling the world that Trump is working for Putin. Just because Russia and America might see some things similarly doesn't put us on the same side, we aren't on the same side......Russia under Putin cannot be trusted and Trump knows this well. Two of his wives were from former communists countries, he has a long understanding of that means and Trump is no fool to believe Putin is different today that he was 40 years ago. Trump was there, he saw when his children were visiting the grandparents, he has a unique perspective most Americans don't! If you were to talk to Trump as you are posting here.....he would treat you like he did Zelenskyy.......he'd tell you come back when you know what the hell you are talking about!
Nobody said that these three were buddies. I only said that they were aligned and Russia acknowledged it, and that Orban has blocked EU sanctions against Russia, for example. As for your home country, Hungary opened in 1989, 35+ years ago, almost two generations ago. In my book that's plenty of time to recover. There are also other countries formerly under the yoke of the Soviets that have a higher per capita GDP than Hungary has today even if they joined the EU later than Hungary did. Romania and Croatia come to mind. Romania was certainly way below Hungary in 1989 because Ceausescu did a number on that country, and now they are ahead of Hungary. I don't hear the Romanians complaining about their Soviet past or being treated like an unwanted step child by Western Europe. Maybe I don't know the situation in Central Europe as well as you do and the complaining of Hungary is justified while it wouldn't be justified in tha case of Romania.
As for President Trump, I trust that he always does the right thing. I can already see that he is making America great again, even more so than he did the first time around.
