Several media outlets published an article a few days ago about how the blue states are becoming rogue nations; however, just 48 hours later, the past Democratic vice-presidential candidate, Tim Walz, is now calling to form a shadow government.
Follow up from: WAR! Blue States Becoming Rogue Nations
In a political climate marked by division and growing state-level defiance, the seeds of a "Rogue Shadow Government" seem to be sprouting into something far more organized and deliberate than the nation has seen in generations. What started as a controversial remark by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz in October 2024, calling for a “shadow government” to offer “alternate press conferences,” has now evolved into a full-blown political movement among several Democratic-led states. The once-hypothetical idea is now taking on tangible form, drawing both praise and alarm from across the ideological spectrum.
A rogue shadow government has gone from rhetoric to reality in just mere hours, but now it is being led by the past Democratic Vice Presidential nominee, Tim Walz.
Governor Walz's comments were initially dismissed by critics as political theater. But insiders now confirm that a coalition of Democratic governors, state legislators, legal scholars, and former federal officials are quietly coordinating efforts to create a parallel framework of governance. These include shared policy councils, regional economic pacts, coordinated legal strategies, and even discussions of an underground "shadow congress."
Behind closed doors, discussions are intensifying around establishing a formal Shadow Cabinet, inspired by the Confederate congressional system. This cabinet would consist of Democratic state leaders and former national officials, each mirroring a federal role, who would offer counterpoints to the Trump administration’s policies and decisions.
With a smirk on his face, Tim Walz laughed and said, “We're not talking about secession,” followed by comments of support by the planning committee. “We're talking about a federation of resistance. A coalition of states standing for what they believe to be a new constitutional order and democratic norms.”
Fellow comrades cheer the birth of the rogue states network concept. California, New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Washington are reportedly at the core of this movement, with support from Minnesota, Oregon, and Colorado. Together, these states account for more than 40% of the U.S. GDP and nearly half its population. Coordination is already underway on several fronts:
- Voting Rights Task Force: In response to new federal ID requirements and voter roll purges, states are forming legal defense funds and ballot access initiatives.
- Climate and Environmental Treaties: California and New York are expanding cross-border pacts with Canadian provinces and European nations, bypassing federal environmental rollbacks.
- Health and Education Compacts: Blue states are sharing data and aligning standards on abortion rights, transgender care, and school curriculum content.
- Media and Messaging Hubs: Proposals have surfaced for a central media outlet or consortium to counter “federal disinformation”, an “alternate press conference” concept brought to life.
Will the new confederation elect a shadow president, and will it be Timothy Walz? The most provocative rumor floating among progressive circles is the potential election of a symbolic Shadow President and Congress, claiming they will not compete with Washington’s legitimacy but dramatize opposition and build a unified platform. Some view it as theater, others as a precursor to a future political bifurcation.
“There is no constitutional mechanism for this, but it sends a powerful message,” said former Sen. Barbara Reeves (D-MA). “We can show what government could look like: responsive, inclusive, and rational.”
The Republican reactions range from mockery to alarm. Critics on the right have blasted the movement as un-American, rebellious, and delusional.
“Tim Walz wants to LARP a civil war,” said Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) in a recent interview. “This isn’t governance, it’s sabotage. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) stated again, "This isn't governance, it's sabotage."
Are there similarities?
- 1861: Southern states created a shadow government in reaction to Abraham Lincoln’s election and perceived threats to their economic and social systems (particularly slavery). They claimed the government no longer represented their interests.
- 2024-2025: Democratic leaders, creating a shadow government in reaction to Donald Trump’s election argue the federal government under Trump is dismantling democratic norms, civil rights, and election integrity (particularly illegal aliens). They are claiming the government has lost moral legitimacy.
Some conservative pundits have called for federal sanctions against states that “undermine national sovereignty,” while others warn of a creeping "soft secession" that echoes the Confederacy, not in slavery or geography, but in legal fragmentation and ideological hostility.
Tim Walz: Well-respected national figure, served in the military for 24 years, served as a governor, and ran for a high political office and lost. Tim Walz was the vice-presidential candidate for the Democratic Party.
Jeff Davis: Well-respected national figure, served in the military and was a hero, served as a senator and cabinet secretary, and ran for a high political office and lost. Jeff Davis was the President of the Confederacy.
A new American divide is forming, and it’s well funded, having a history of civil disobedience. Whether this emerging “shadow government” becomes a lasting institution or a symbolic protest, it represents a historic moment in American political culture. Never before has such an organized, multi-state response to federal authority taken form without the explicit aim of secession.
But the stakes are escalating. As federal-state tensions rise, the United States may be entering a new phase, not yet civil war, but of shadow governance. What happens next depends not just on policy but on whether Americans still believe in the republic.
Final Word: Don’t worry, the Democrats aren't actually forming a shadow government like their family predecessors did; they are just pretending to form a shadow government, right?
This is a reference, not a conspiracy theory. Stay tuned for further updates as this rogue shadow government continues to unfold across the political landscape.

Hi June & Jea9 good posts.
As you see several media groups rewrote and used our content for their own articles. You are making a difference! Thank you!
👍Good job, Steve, glad to hear it.
This sort of anti-American ideology is not just "un-American, rebellious and delusional"; it IS OUTRIGHT TREASON. Somewhere, along the line, DOJ MUST "pick up the bat" and knock this down and OUT. Every singly one, following this train of thought/action, must be arrested, charged with treason AND, either exiled for life, OR EXECUTED. This cannot continue; it MUST end here and now, if America is to survive.
Well, I can't think of anything more likely to wake some sleepers up. Maybe what is meant for harn will result in an awakening of Truth foillowed by Righteousness. Sounds good to me. Yank it out of the enemy's hands and serve it up for good. What was, is and shall be again. Ecc.1 and 3. Also, right out of the Bible—Gen. 15:20, Joseph to his brothers, "What you meant for harm, but God meant it for good, to bring about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today."
The Hebrews had to walk towards a normal river/sea with no way out. They kept up, they wandered, had no sicknesses,, no hunger, no blisters on their feet. It all LOOKED hopeless. But ! Water came from rocks. Manna from Heaven. They had not a single thing to do with it. They just obeyed. And trusted. And walked. That's it.
The thought implanted of an upcoming civil war, WILL wake people up and not in the way they hope for.
