  • I have dealt with situations like this multiple times during my military career.  This SGT was facing charges of DUI in Georgia.  He had NOT made his chain of command aware of these charges.  He knew that his days of wearing SGT stripes were about to come to an end.  In all likelihood, the soldier he targeted was someone in whom he confided his arrest for DUI and that soldier, most likely, told him that he needed to either inform the chain of command or that he would do it for him.  SGT Radford, desiring to postpone the inevitable, decided to kill his friend so that he could keep his secret for a little while longer.  The bottom line is that SFT Radford, who had been stopped for speeding and then, on another occassion, for speeding and DUI was about to see his military career come to an ignominous ending and he wanted to divert the attention away from his own personal failures!  President Trump and SecDef MUST INVESTIGATE why the relationship between Fort Stewart and state/local law enforcement is so bad that the chain of command was unaware of SGT Radford's civil charges.  This is a SEVERE breach of leadership for soldiers to face civil charges while the military is unaware!

    • The Colonel is quite accurate on everything he writes.  I know nothing of the relationship between the civilian police forces and the military police.  Do we even know which civilian police force is involved?  I do know that GA laws are certainly different than my state's laws.  Fort Stewart shares borders with HInesville, GA.  Hinesville appears to be heavily Black, biut not solely.  Is anyone going to suggest that he Hinesville PD is racist against whites?  No matter the civilian policeman or his/her force, is anyone going to accuse that policeperson of being racist against whites?  I do not think so, even if true.  But, yes, a DUI is a serious avenue to travel in the military..  Fort Stewart has many fine leaders and I believe they will be given the job of investigating and reporting. It appears to me that we have a serious problem with those who entered the army during Biden's term.  Let's give these fine leaders time to unite their troops.  It took time to get "here."  It will take time to steady the ship.

  • The lies of the fake news are getting to be too much. President Trump really needs to establish a federal truth commission to shut down the media that is just there to mislead the American people.

  • That is certainly NOT what I was told by someone on the Fort Stewart base.  That person was given the information told to me by superiorly ranked Army personnel at Fort Stewart.  Putting together what the father says and what the Army says tends to make me believe that this man was raised in a house where my presence would not be desired whatsoever even though they do not know me from a can of paint. The original sin belongs with the father/mother, et al.  Sleep well, parents, et al!

    • THE FATHER MAY HAVE EXPERIENCED RACISM, BUT I BELIEVE THAT HE WAS THE TRUE RACIST, AND HE POISONED HIS SON, OR ENCOURAGED WHAT WAS ALREADY THERE!

    • Michael, I would bet it goes back to the grandparents and the racism of the 60's.

    • JOHN, I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED!   I KNOW THERE ARE SOME DEMENTED WHITE RETARDS WHO ARE RACIST, BUT MOST RACISTS, BY FAR, ARE BLACK!

    • I concur with all of you.

    • Well stated John. When things don't go their way it goes down to "racism" every time. I served and ran into it several times while there were many decent people who worked together.
