Coming to a neighborhood near you! Paris is on fire. What masqueraded as student marches over public services, rising living costs, and a weak economy has metastasized into the worst unrest France has seen in years.
Here are the stats:
1,000 police officers have been injured.
2,400 people have been arrested.
3,000 stores vandalized and looted.
6,000 security personnel deployed.
Demonstrations outright banned.
Unions have called nationwide strikes for November 5.
Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu points the finger at “ultra-left liberal radical groups” deliberately manufacturing chaos ahead of the presidential election. The unrest has already spilled into Belgium, with Italy, Portugal, and others watching the same combustible mix of grievance and organized violence.
President Trump put it bluntly: “The migrants have taken over France. Close the borders, fast.”
The rioter profile is unmistakable: young, college-aged, Communists mixed with radical Muslims, and mostly migrants demanding the government give them more. (sound familiar)
The deeper issue is not one weekend of riots. It is years of policy that treated border enforcement as an embarrassment, allowed rapid, poorly vetted inflows to outrun the country’s capacity to assimilate and absorb, and then acted surprised when economic strain, cultural friction, and imported ideological Muslim extremism collided in the same streets.
The open door of unvetted and unchecked migration was really a cloaked Trojan horse invasion! The obvious question follows: is today’s France tomorrow’s America?
Look at the political direction of parts of the Democrat Party. Candidates such as Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed campaign on abolishing ICE, expansive entitlements whose math does not work, and a view of border control as the problem rather than a basic function of a sovereign nation. That is not fringe positioning; it is the trajectory of a significant share of the party.
Elect enough of it and the French pattern arrives on a delay: open borders produce not harmony but compounding strain, unassimilated grievances, and radicals ready to exploit both until ordinary civic life turns into boarded storefronts and injured police.
It does not have to happen here. America First policies exist precisely as the counterweight. Controlled borders are not hostility to legal immigrants who assimilate, work, and build; millions have done exactly that. Recognize and counter the National Communist movement, Radical Muslims, and government hate liberal militants.
France let that balance tip for years; now Paris is paying the bill.
Will America learn from France, or will the Republicans' retention of both houses in the next election trigger a nationwide French-style revolution?
