Laura Ingraham GRILLS Howard Lutnick on how allowing 600K Chinese students into the U.S. is "America First?"

That was a VERY UNSATISFYING ANSWER that really didn't answer the question. Here is what I believe the logic surrounding this decision is based on. For decades the US Government belief is that the more foreign students we allow to come to the US to study, the more opportunity there is for those students to embrace US values, return to their countries, and then change these foreign countries from within to look more like the USA. I fear that President Trump has been infected by this thinking specifically with regard to China because, in his mind, he believes there is an opportunity to transform China from Communism to Democratic Capitalism. I can tell you that this has not worked with Middle Eastern students and barely works with European students who come from countries with Judeo-Christian values.

I also believe that the seeds of this idea were planted by President Xi of China which makes it even a worse idea.

We have a serious espionage problem in the USA. We have brought in so many foreign students and workers who have infiltrated our Government, Defense Industrial Base, major Technology Companies, and Academia which are funneling US technology back to their home countries. We have seen, since President Trump took office, several cases where foreign nationals have been identified as spies and just before their arrest, they have fled the US. Bringing in 600K Chinese, who have been completely brainwashed to support the Chinese Communist Party are NOT going to have their minds changed by attending US Universities. The potential of punishment of their families and the fact that Chinese are part of Asian Culture where everything is about honor and saving face, are NOT going to be changed. If anything, they will contribute to the further radicalization of US Students at these universities. Once again BAD IDEA!!!

Finally, if the reasoning is to prevent the collapse of smaller universities and colleges because the US would have too much higher education capacity and too little demand (Supply and Demand. I'm sure Mr. Bessent understands that concept), then I would say, WHAT BETTER WAY TO BRING ABOUT A REDUCTION IN THE PRICE OF HIGHER EDUCATION than to take away a bunch of demand? I highly doubt any of our institutions of higher learning are at risk of financial collapse and if President Trump would like to transform these institutions back into America Loving places of higher learning, the best way is to radically reduce demand, forcing prices down drastically, the Leftist Professors who really aren't teaching, just indoctrinating, won't be able to live on a reduced salary, thus they quit, and these Colleges and Universities to survive can be transformed to teaching real degrees (not trast degrees) and America Wins in the long run.

  I agree with you. I do NOT want to see 600,000 chyneez here pursuing anything. They have their world view. We need ours back and it can't happen with inviting the enemy in. Not that they are our only enemies, but they have had their 50 yr plan and they will work Trump if they can. They began subverting us with their products under Nixon. My Mother had proof from her work in Chicago Customs Lab.
