I’m exhausted by the Left’s reflex. Nine days from now Republicans will hold the first midterm convention in American history in Dallas, with President Trump, Vice President Vance, and a slate of candidates making their case before November, and the activist Left has already decided the proper response is another march, another set of signs, and another round of the same speech they have been giving for years.
A coalition calling itself Dallas Against the Trump Agenda is planning to rally at Pike Park on September 10 and march toward American Airlines Center. They are lining up permits, lawyers, and “safety training,” and they have said they want to show the “Trump regime” it is not welcome in Dallas.
The groups publicly tied to this include the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression in DFW, the DFW Anti-War Committee, El Movimiento, and Indivisible Dallas.
That is not a gathering of undecided neighbors.
That is the professional protest circuit, and one of the named organizations is openly socialist.I am not angry that they have the right to protest. I am disgusted that this is their whole political method. They lose an argument, lose an election, or watch the other side fill a hall, and they immediately take it to the street with the same vocabulary they have worn out: regime, fascism, billionaires, ICE, police, war, and “the people.” The words never change because the tactic never changes.
They do not have to persuade anyone if they can dominate the camera and declare the event illegitimate.A serious country settles this in November. Adults make a case about borders, crime, energy, schools, and the cost of living, then they ask for votes. What we get instead is endless rhetoric from people who treat a lawful convention like an occupation site and treat millions of Americans who disagree with them like an occupying force. They talk as if Texas belongs to the coalition with the bullhorn. It doesn’t.
They can march. They can chant. They can call a sitting president’s party a regime if that makes them feel righteous. None of that substitutes for winning an election, and none of it is new. I have heard this sermon too many times, and I am tired of pretending it is moral courage instead of a tantrum with better signage. Fill the arena in Dallas and let them keep talking to themselves on the sidewalk. The country still gets to vote.

Perhaps the Muslim brotherhood is willing to pitch in, fly them in from blue states. I do hope they have brand new socialist/communist signs, hoping for large numbers of Muslims screaming for shariah, burning Israeli flags, illegals putting their demands on America while proudly marching with their Mexican flags. Angry and destructive to make obvious to the country who the left is today, flaunting the red/green alliance. We do want to see lots of men pretend to be women, that's always attractive with their rainbow flags. Women wearing pink celebrating child murder! Praying they sing and dance, that surely lures people to their cause!
These clowns?
