MEMO TO THE FLOCKIES:
I keep hearing one of the dumbest arguments imaginable in defense of mass license-plate surveillance:
“A police officer can already see your license plate when you drive down the street. Therefore, Flock cameras aren’t a search.”
Oh.
Well, CASE CLOSED.
Pack it up, constitutional scholars.
Apparently we solved the Fourth Amendment.
A cop seeing my Honda for three seconds at a stoplight…
is apparently EXACTLY THE SAME THING as tens of thousands of networked cameras automatically photographing vehicles, timestamping them, recording locations, feeding those observations into searchable databases, and letting software reconstruct patterns of movement.
TOTALLY THE SAME THING.
That’s like saying:
“A stranger saw you walk into Walmart once, therefore putting an AirTag in your underwear for six months isn’t surveillance.”
The issue isn’t whether someone can SEE YOUR LICENSE PLATE.
Of course they can.
IT’S ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR.
The issue is SCALE.
A police officer standing beside the road might see me drive past.
He probably forgets about me eleven seconds later because I’m driving a Honda and there are approximately 47 billion identical Hondas in Florida.
Flock doesn’t forget.
Computers don’t get bored.
Databases don’t go home after their shift.
AI doesn’t say:
“Eh, I’ve seen enough gray SUVs today.”
THAT’S THE POINT.
One observation is an observation.
Thousands of observations stitched together can become a HISTORY.
Where you went.
When you went.
How often you went.
What other vehicles appeared around you.
Patterns.
Associations.
Routines.
And then somebody says:
“But technically all those individual observations happened in public!”
Wonderful.
So if I hire 10,000 people to follow you around every day for the next year, photograph your car everywhere it goes, timestamp every picture, dump everything into a database and give strangers a search bar…
you’d presumably shrug and say:
“Seems normal. Each photographer was standing in public.”
COME ON.
This is exactly why the constitutional debate around ALPRs is going to be fascinating.
The question isn’t:
“Can a cop look at a license plate?”
Nobody is seriously arguing that.
The question is:
WHEN DOES MASS AUTOMATED SURVEILLANCE BECOME SOMETHING FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT FROM HUMAN OBSERVATION?
Technology changes scale.
Scale changes capability.
Capability changes POWER.
And when government power changes dramatically, perhaps the constitutional analysis deserves something slightly more sophisticated than:
“BUT THE PLATE IS VISIBLE.”
Especially when the government itself REQUIRES YOU to bolt that unique identifier onto your vehicle before you’re allowed to drive it.
That’s my favorite part.
Government:
“Put this government-issued identifying number on your car.”
Citizen:
“Okay.”
Government:
“Now we’re going to build an enormous automated network that repeatedly records where that number appears.”
Citizen:
“I’m uncomfortable with that.”
Government:
“WHY? YOU PUT THE NUMBER ON YOUR CAR.”
YOU MADE ME PUT IT THERE, GARY.
And here’s what makes the “Flockies” argument particularly weak:
The Supreme Court has ALREADY recognized that technology can change the privacy analysis when government aggregates information about someone’s movements.
That doesn’t automatically tell us exactly how the Court will eventually rule on ALPR networks.
But if warrantless mass ALPR searching eventually reaches SCOTUS, the serious constitutional arguments are going to involve aggregation, duration, scale, technological capability, expectations of privacy and precedent.
Not:
“Officer Bob could’ve seen your Buick at Arby’s.”
So memo to the Flockies:
“One cop could have seen me” isn’t the devastating constitutional argument you think it is.
Because one cop isn’t 10,000 cameras.
One glance isn’t a database.
Human memory isn’t AI.
And seeing somebody drive past you…
ISN’T THE SAME THING AS BUILDING INFRASTRUCTURE CAPABLE OF REMEMBERING WHERE EVERYBODY WENT.
But sure.
Keep calling it:
“JUST A CAMERA.”

The questions then become unavoidable: Who keeps the records? What is on them? With whom are they shared? And how secure is that record-keeping?
We stand exposed—naked—while those who could answer these questions hide behind layers of government-protected privacy.

This government at each and every level, is supposed to be CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED. This is no longer government, but tyranny and the surveillance state. What can be done about it?

Yes, I am, Paul. Trump has not yet transformed the government back into what it is supposed to be. He has and is containing the top level but there are multiple levels underneath, buttressed by systems that interlock like puzzle pieces with each other. I keep saying this every which way I can. We have amendments that need to be removed, courts are ruled by those who cannot read. And it---the dead---mindedness---has spilled out into the people and even Christians, who are just as clueless as anyone else.
Ex: the whooptie duptee over abortion being "overthrown." Pure idiocy.
Murder is murder in any state.That is truth. No if's, and's or but"s. But the church is good with it. They call it a WIN. IT IS NOT.
Just like they're good with the corporate licensing called the 501(c)3. They're good with that too. Just like with Covid. Good with it. Except for very few. Those who did parking lot services, did well. Others, like Pastor Rodney-Howard Brown in FL, bought a huge tent, held services, mocked Govco in its face, went to jail for 5 minutes and back to holding parking lot services.
What that horrifying SCOTUS opinion really did, was this.....It opened the door to euthenasia, to follow Canada into the abyss of Satanism. Borders WON. Over LIFE.
Followed by SUITCASES over citizenship. 14th A Jurisdiction issue. Idiots. Courts = idiots. Jurisdiction is owed to citizens. Not travelers. Damn.

IF life is about borders, then the state, meaning government at all levels, can decide which ones of us "gotta go." Just like Canada"s FORCED euthenasia of mentally ill woman. She's DEAD. And it was NOT her will. That...is what SCOTUS really did. The handwriting is on the wall. Prophetically.
jea9 and Paul, Simon; You admit there are Amendments that need to be removed, altered, or created right? Ok who do you think will actually do that? Will Congress make an amendment that will curtail it's usurped power? Neither did our Founding Fathers. Our Founding Fathers created a magnificient system complete with a series of checks and balances intended to keep it honest and in control, of the citizens. Look through the 27 Amendments we have, and ask yourself where does this amendment detract from those checks and balances? Then look as the complete list of Supreme Court rulings on each aspect of those Amendments.
Are you beginning to form a clear picture of what has been happening because we the people have been lazy and allowed it to happen? Be aware also of the fact both parties have done damage to those checks and balances to benefit themselves.
There is a completely valid reason why Article-V is in the main body of the Constitution and not an amendment. It is the most important check and balance the founders could ever put nto the constitution because it gives the people the right to force their control, back on their elected officials. Notice I sais Elected Officials and not governent? That's because the people are the government and elected officials are just hired hands. the founders believed the people would have major control over their State Legislatures and could successfully order them to do their bidding. that is why Article-V allows the States to petition for an Amendment Proposal Convention. Whenm congress calls an amendment convention it too is "AN AMENDMENT PROPOSAL CONVENTION". The people have to approve it regardless who proposed it.
When you look at the checks and balances we no longer have thanks to Congress and the Supreme Court be sure to look at what constitutes legal money. Why Senators were only representatives of their states not their political parties. What the 14th Amendment was created to protect and what it was specifically not created to protect. The16th amendment which expanded Federal, Fiscal power beyond the original strict limits intended to constrain the national government.
In effect the people need to call for an Article-V wherem they are in control of what is proposed and how it's stated so smate ass lawyers can't change it's original meaning. Example tjhe Second amendment says "Shall not be infringed" That means thje same as "The Government is forbidden from". Which one is more open to, interpretation?
Well, I think President Trump has done an amazing job and he is beyond criticism. We the people need to continue supporting him no questions asked as everyone on this site does
As for the ills you list, I'm certain that President Trump is working on all of it. Before too long your and our version of Christianity will reach every nook of this country and every American will have to conform or will be punished to the full extent of the law. I have high hopes that the right kind of Christianity (certainly not the rainbow waving or communist kind) will rule the United States of America under divine providence when President Trump is done making America great again.
God will do his part, as Trump cannot do all that must be done. Not because of any weakness on his part, but due to the tight connections of the hidden architecture/s of evil. "Estimating" about 100 yrs of pure evil being orchestrated. Not sure, though. Maybe coinciding with certain Amendments. We all should be able to see / acknowledge that evil has progressed, even through the things we see as 'stupid.' The courts are one example.
I hope someday, someone writes the history of the time period we are living through and witnessing. After we are on the other side of this cataclysmic time period.
If this seems excessive to you, consider, "what can the righteous do when the foundations be destroyed?"

The symbol on the dollar with the all seeing Eye and the unfinished pyramid are actually Masonic symbols. The eye actually represents God watching over us and the unfinished pyramid symbolizes "The work of maintaining American Freedoms will forever be necessary, to keep America Free."
The oaths are modeled after Masonic Oaths and the single most overriding aspect of those oaths is; The first duty is to Almighty God above all else! If you live your life honoring your duty to God first and foremost, then all subsequent duties and actions will fall in line with what God wants from you.
Basically all of, our Founders and Framers were Free Masons. America was originally a construct of the Masonic idea that obediance to God created a positive lifestyle worth creating and protecting. A man cannot become a Mason unless he first believes that God is the Supreme Being who created and controls the Universe. The first oath is to swear and affirm that he will, obey God above all others and live his entire life according to God's Rules/Commandments. Further than that I will not Comment on Free Masonry, other than there is nothing nefarious about it, it is not a religion, it's just a moral lifestyle freely agreed to be lived as such.
Tradesman, you say this about a freemason, "The first oath is to swear and affirm that he will, obey God above all others and live his entire life according to God's Rules/Commandments." That's not very specific and can include all kinds of deities including Allah or other nefarious "supreme beings". This sure doesn't sound comforting to me when it comes to freemasonry.
