Almost every congress person has been advised in their initial briefing before taking thier seat, that they WILL follow eveything the leaders say and vote with them on eveything, whether right or wrong. The main factor is that "they know where you live"! Play ball or else! It is no surprise that the Republicans in congress refuse to do any serious defense, or be agressive against the nasty onslaught from the Democrats. The Democrats seek out the major news media affiliates that are permanantly stattioned aournd the capital. They get in front of the cameras and spew thier BS. The republicans do not do that. They present no fight or defense immediately. The majority of the American people listen to that nasty rhetoric and run with it. The Republicans need to get in front of the cameras, just like the Deocrats.
