This is the first FOCUSED National Security Strategy since President Reagan. It actually deals with threats within current geopolitical realities instead of being written with wishful thinking about alliances and threats. This is the wakeup call that Europe has needed for a very long time, even going back to the 1990s. This NSS tells me that President Trump recognizes that there are "NO ETERNAL ALLIANCES, JUST ETERNAL NATIONAL INTERESTS!" Too bad our Admirals and Generals don't understand this principle and have allowed emotional friendships get in the way of sound decision making for so many years.
That is good discernment. They are not the same and should not be treated as if they are.
These stories don't tell everything. The EU has filed a $140 million suit against "X" and Elon Musk personally. It would seem among everything else, the EU is afraid of free speech. It seems at this point; it is very logical to question the EU.
Martha, that's exactly right. The EU is afraid of free speech and it makes sense to align more with Russia today, where free speech and Christian values are more encouraged.
That's for sure.
