Once in a generation, a person steps forward and offers the world a profound and honest appraisal of current conditions, driving the premise home to the point of piercing the conscience and awakening a generation to the unfolding follies in its midst.
Such is the part-time song writer and singer Oliver Anthony. He composed and sang the now famous song: "Rich Men North of Richmond”. In just 12 short days this song has rocked America and struck a deep cord in the soul of the people.
But how did this happen and why?
Americans are rightfully outraged for many reasons. Our schools are indoctrinating youngsters with explicit sexual themes, our open borders allow illegal immigrants to enter, our economy is in catastrophic difficulties, and a radical "green" agenda is being imposed on Americans. Despite widespread public resistance, the Biden administration continues to provide billions of dollars in military aid to fight Russia through proxy warfare.
Our weaponized judicial system has lost the trust of the American people as crooked politicians and indolent bureaucrats enrich themselves at the expense of industrious Americans. Unfortunately, objective, and investigative journalism is over.
Anthony's ability to connect with many people quickly is extraordinary. His charisma and sincerity have helped build these relationships. Anthony has inspired many Americans who favor small government, individual liberty, and free markets by successfully articulating conservative values.
Anthony's engaging communication style and unshakable commitment to American ideas have helped him build a solid network of like-minded people who value his incisive thoughts.
When politicians work hard to protect our tax dollars, don't waste them on foreign aid, and resist excessive regulations encroach on our liberties, they actively promote policies preserve our remaining freedoms.
Oliver Anthony, a part-time musician, and former industrial worker has risen as a surprising champion in this distressing show.
In less than two weeks, his song video has earned millions of views, and he has performed before large crowds in two live performances. His amazing tune also tops the iTunes and Apple Music global rankings. Anthony's working-class anthem beat Taylor Swift and other famous musicians with huge fan bases.
Anthony's charisma and genuine passion for American values helped him connect with many people quickly. Many Americans wanting a strong and principled leader have admired his unflinching dedication to American beliefs. Anthony's ability to communicate difficult topics in a simple way has helped him connect with people from various backgrounds. His message resonates with many, as shown by his tremendous support base development. His impassioned message resonated with those upset with their lives and our nation's direction.
The powerful elite seeking "complete control"
In "Rich Men North of Richmond," Anthony passionately reveals the elite's dark plan to gain "absolute dominance" over the American people. These people want too much information about your thoughts and activities, thinking you're unaware.
However, I know you know their genuine motives. Anthony masterfully conveys the fury of industrious people who see their tax dollars wasted on welfare abusers. He bluntly claims taxpayers should not pay for luxuries like bags of fudge rounds, especially for people who neglect their health.
According to Fox News Medical Contributor Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, Anthony's ascent to fame was due to his acute awareness of the daily agony, suffering, and challenges of many hardworking Americans. Anthony advocates for those who cannot express their emotions, experiences, and urgent need for change, according to her.
Millions of patriotic Americans agree our nation needs immediate reform. A shocking 74% of Americans are concerned about our country's direction, according to a recent poll.
The negative effects of Bidenomics include rising gasoline and grocery prices and inflation. Interest rates are rising as real wages are falling. The already massive federal debt has been increased by $5 trillion, making it clear young couples are losing the American dream of homeownership.
Undoubtedly, much of our nation is economically insecure. Anthony beautifully captures melancholy in his powerful song. He laments the world's wretched status and his disappointment in himself and you. He wishes he could wake up to a new truth, but the unpleasant reality endures.
Anthony illustrates the catastrophic situation of working-class Americans. Despite hard work, many Americans still struggle economically. Many hardworking Americans have lost their jobs to unauthorized immigrants or foreign employees.
Anthony, unlike many overnight sensations, did not rush to sign contracts. Amazingly, he turned down multimillion-dollar album offers. As Nesheiwat noted, Anthony wrote the song not for fame or glory. His motivation was the crushing load of mental illness, depression, and anxiety exacerbated by our economy. This remark resonated with many Americans facing similar circumstances.
Artists who put ethics and honesty before money are few.
In an inspiring Facebook post, Anthony asserted his songs are unedited and agent-free. He strongly claimed his music revives a timeless style should never have been abandoned.
Anthony's wise choice to forgo stardom and its high cost is admirable. He strongly opposed it, saying, "I absolutely do not desire to have six tour buses, fifteen tractor trailers, and a jet." I don't like stadium shows or fame.
Despite calling himself "just some idiot and his guitar," Anthony is smart. He realizes his songs' power comes from the genuine feeling he puts into each phrase.
In today's corrupt pop culture and deceptive music industry, a musician values integrity and honesty before fortune is refreshing. Anthony sings with conviction connects with his listeners, a rare feat in today's music market. He encourages fans of his songs to use their positive energy to help others.
These industrious Americans have a powerful advocate in Anthony.
Although Anthony has accomplished much in recent weeks, he remains modest. He meekly admitted, "I must confess my musical abilities are lacking, and I have my fair share of personal flaws." Over the past five years, I've used alcohol to cope with mental health concerns. The current world of dividing tensions is discouraging. I have spent many evenings in sorrow watching our once-great nation deteriorate rapidly.
Anthony, highlighted his decade-long industrial manufacturing experience. He proudly conveyed his intimate grasp of working-class Americans he met on job sites and in factories. Anthony passionately explained how he spent every day for ten years listening to this community's repeated tale. Neglect, division, and manipulation have exhausted many people.
Final Word: Anthony is now a champion for these hardworking Americans who have been ignored by the elite. Anthony's longevity in the public eye is a testimonial to his humanity, character, and brilliance. His influence will last for years.
Oliver Anthony songs will resound in our country which has neglected We the People for far too long.
Oliver Anthony is the resistance! …..are you?
Replies
BTW - I went to YouTube last night and went to many black liberal recording artist sites as they reviewed Anthony's song. WOW! within 20 seconds they got it and identified with him and these are hardcore liberals! I saw them wake up out of their woke stupor.
I am impressed!......so far.
This guy put the feelings of the country into words and found a way to get it out to the world. People hear their feelings put into words, it resonates deeply, suddenly it's clear to those who didn't know how to express their frustration. NOW THEY KNOW where to direct it!
We ARE the resistance. But we need more of YOU!!
I've just found out today that, sadly, Mr. Lunsford (Oliver Anthony) thinks "diversity" is a strength for America. Perhaps back at the turn of the last century that was true, but NOT NOW!?!?!? The dregs are what's coming in now, illegally and contributing NOTHING to this God-Beloved Country!?
I was so happy to hear his song(s), but I'm going to leave him behind now with this knowledge. Oh well...
Hey Phyllis, Before I write off Oliver Anthony I want to know how does he define diversity. He is a young person with a lot of growing to do. As of today I respect him for his contribution and will continue to watch his career.
Excuse me for popping in: All kids seem to have a bit more idealism than do we the battle worn, more realistic oldsters. Anthony certainly has invited foks to "discuss" with him. My thought is--YES we would ideally like to abide by the bible but there always has been and will be some EVIL PUSHBACK in different forms. So i only see it as a "duty" to point out this dichyotomy to a kid of his age. BUT we probably can recognize he believes in a Free Nation Under GOD. Now maybe i don't have it "right enough"......WE BE IMPERFECT.
You are quite right, Richard, in that the younger ones are more idealistic. Remembering back when We were young and Vietnam was raging and Our struggles against the "establishment", etc. This is similar to that in some respects. I was a young, loony liberal back then, a late-blooming hippie in the early 70s, and I was completely for freedom to Love whomever I wished (without parental consent, hippie-freak, not my religion, etc.), and all the rest. But We still had the American Dream to aspire to when We got older, though even then, it was getting more distant than even our older siblings were finding. At 67, still don't have a house bought and paid for other than through an inheritance, barely have a working older car, and struggling every month on social security (which back then I disliked having to pay for, but now immensely grateful for). When Oliver/Chris gets a bit older, he'll see, he'll get it, when his jobs are given to cheap illegal invader workers, and NEVER be able to get even a little ahead. Well, maybe not now since he's pretty much hit the big time, hopefully on his terms, but You know what I mean. And You're right, NONE of Us are perfect, for sure! Thank God He overlooks that and Loves Us anyway!?
Yeah, I know, Steve. I've been thinking about it and I may have jumped the gun on that a bit. I really do Love the song, and except for this one thing, he seems like a real good guy! I agree, he's got some growing up to do in ways other than he already has.
I guess I'm just so fed up with all the hypocrites, syncophants, demonRats and rinos, et al, lying everytime they open their mouths, I don't trust anyone anymore who are supposed to be looking out for Us. Oliver/Chris is speaking for Us in a big way and I just want to be sure We're all on the same page. I hope someone will gently educate him and help him see and understand what's really going on.
GOD BLESS HIS INSPIRED MUSICAL MESSAGE AND THE SELF EFFACING PATRIOTIC MINSTREL HE HAS SHOWN HIMSELF TO BE.
He has reached SO many people with this song. It is Truth.
And look at the sequence of things we are seeing in part---
The revival at Asbury College that spread to multiple other college campuses and went on for weeks. The very same generation Satan is after so desperately.
The two movies, "Jesus Revolution" and "Sound of Freedom," followed by the phenom of "Rich Men North of Richmond," now a worldwide phenomenon with hundreds of thousands of grateful comments from around the world, some listening 3x a day, some confessing to sobbing while listening.
Now tell me God isn't working to change hearts and minds and souls. He absolutely IS. He will have this country and the gates of hell shall not prevail against Him. Amen.
