Illegal aliens and overregulation.
— Scott Turner (@SecretaryTurner) November 12, 2025
The previous administration allowed these to burden housing supply and raise prices for hardworking Americans.
Both need to be addressed to combat the housing affordability issue across the country. pic.twitter.com/983jPHAagY

There are several reasons why housing prices rose so substantially during the Lying Joe O'Biden era. 1. Cost of Building Supplies rose due to poor trade deals and disruptions in shipping, causing shortages, which significantly increased costs. 2. Added demand with 5 million illegal immigrant households coming into America on top of the roughly 2 million legal immigrant households which entered the United States in four years. 3. Over-regulation of the construction industry. and 4. Large investment firms like Blackrock buying up entier sub-divisions in an effort to corner the market on new build properties. It is great that President Trump has opened up logging in America and increased production of sheet rock, brick, and concrete domestically to drive down housing costs. He is also removing the 5 million illegal immigrant households, cutting regulation, and forcing entities like Blackrock to sell the homes they acquired. The housing market will adjust back close to pre-pandemic levels, but it will take about two years.
I didn't know that about Trump forcing BlackRock to sell. That's wonderful. Thank you for that.
👍, thank you for speaking up.
COL, I did not know that Trump was forcing Black rock, et al. to sell the homes they acquire, thank you very much, as this is good news!
