American officials are turning to everything from blockchain technology to Ukrainian soldiers for help as they struggle to track the billions of dollars in U.S. weapons and other aid flowing into Ukraine, according to a State Department cable obtained by POLITICO.
The Biden administration also plans to tap a still-unnamed U.S. firm by February to implement a special three-year initiative to help the oversight effort, according to the “sensitive but unclassified” document.
The cable comes to light as Republicans are increasingly calling for more vetting of the money and weapons flowing to Ukraine. It also comes as Russia ramps up its attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, making it even harder to account for what’s already poured in of the more than $50 billion the United States has committed to Ukraine.

This is all well and good... EXCEPT nothing is being done to hold the thieves criminally liable for their illegal conduct... and... and ... The GOP/RNC are not standing shoulder to shoulder on the Capitol steps demanding the AG and FBI Director resign or proceed with indictments and criminal trials for those government agents criminally culpable. Congressional Hearings do nothing but frustrate the public, as they discover senior members of the government are enriching themselves and their cronies with taxpayer dollars, AND NOTHING EFFECTIVE IS BEING DONE TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE.
Congress must pass budgets that permit them to cut off funds to programs... and to sequester the salaries and benefits of senior administrators and appointed officials with a simple majority vote... Congress needs the power to sequester the salary and benefits of those government officials culpable in a criminal procedure until Congress determines they were not involved in a crime... with a majority vote... to restore their salary and benefit
We must find a responsible way to hold suspected corrupt agents of the government accountable without requiring supermajorities in Congress to do so... Sequestration of funds to programs and salaries of senior elected and appointed officials could be that way... hold their salaries sequestered until they are either cleared or in prison. Let every budget contain a provision to cut off funding for any program improperly administered or where obvious graft and corruption are occurring... include the means to sequester the salary and benefits of the agents of government criminally culpable in the illegal actions.
New headline: We are unwilling to track cash and weapons given to Zelensky. Everything else in the article is plausible but I do know that Zelensky hates Russia. Having said that I am doubtful Zelensky is in a for profit scheme...the Ukrainians might kill him on site for that treason....they have a swifter justice system and men with steel kahunas there...unlike the West. No... America is quite capable of tracking these weapons and the cash given to Zelinsky... The weapons are unique in their design, and technology. They leave a significant recognizable signature when used. It would be extremely difficult to hide them or to maintain and operate them without telegraphing their location. The transfer of the kinds of cahs we are discussing here is nearly impossible without exposing who is involved... it is a lie to suggest otherwise and simply a means to deny being party to the illegal transfer of these weapons.
The Biden Administration simply doesn't want these weapons or cash tracked... That would expose any scheme to loot our war reserves and treasury... putting our National Security at risk. Remember Pres. Biden abandoned 55 Billion in equipment and munitions while evacuating Afghanistan. Giving Ukraine the Multiple Rocket Launcher Systems (MLRS) and Patriot Missile Batteries puts our own National Security at great risk. The MLRS and Patriot MIssile are state-of-the-art technology. Giving these weapon systems to Ukraine ensures that this classified technology will end up in RUSSIA, CHINA, IRAN, N. Korea, and many other nations willing to pay Zelinsky his asking price and Biden's kickback fees.
We don't have sufficient Patriot Missiles to properly defend America and our national war reserves and munition stockpiles of MLRS missiles are about depleted... these weapons are extremely expensive and require considerable time and valuable resources to manufacture... thus, putting our war reserves in the Critical Zone.
So true Ron. When I heard MLRS were being sent there I feard Russia and China would eventually get their hands on it. Now the Patriot Missle system. My God this will be a a huge secruriy loss of this tech to our enemies. The corruption in our country sickens me. They don't care about the future of our country or its safety as long as they make a load of money for themselves.
In other words, the headline should be we don't want to bother tracking the weapons or the cash. It might reflect poorly on us!
