Obviously we have elected a lot of useless, scummy people to lead this nation.......we lowered the bar a long time ago in everything!
You are so right, the situation is absolutely terrible! I honestly don't think the American voters have any idea how to vote for an honest, intelligent, American loving, God loving person with common sense! We are so screwed up!
Of course, We the People must recognize that the US Congress represents a cross section of the nation. We get what we vote for! This is why our Founding Fathers knew that the Constitutional Republic they gave us could ONLY be sustained if We the People were principles and worshipped the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Furthermore, We the People have a responsibility to fully vet and investigate the morality and political positions of those we vote for and to make voting a priority. We have way too many Christians in this nation who fail to vote and many who do vote rely on secular media to vet the candidates. This is why our Congress is now populated with criminals and idiots.
Absolutely the bar is too low for all politicians and for naturalized citizens! They lie, cheat, steal, insider trade, openly support foreign countries in volation of their Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office, incite violence, scam huge amounts of money, support crime, never assimilate, take bribes, the list goes on! Both groups at the minimum should be required to speak english, be honest, defend the constitution and support laws of the United States, to give up loyalty to other countries, to commit no crimes, have common sense, be fully vetted, and most important fear God! Certainly there are more bars they should clear, but this is a good start!
