    • Amazing how a poor country with a lot more people, many living as if it is stil 1870 can have a photo ID.

  • Until we get a Federal law for Federal elections nothing will change.  The Constitution gives each state the right to hold elections any way they wish.  We need a Federal Law for Federal elections that states: Voting on election day only, in person, with ID, and properly registered.  Absentee ballots can be requested and sent to those who properly request one.  The vote will be with paper ballots and counted by a member of every political party that has a candidate on the ballot.  No media outlet would be allowed to give results from any state until the polls close in Hawaii.  That way, citizens will vote because they do not know how other states have voted.  How we hold Federal elections now is immoral.  Ballots are mailed to every person in a state, four to six weeks early voting, counting ballots where signatures do not match, and counting ballots that arrive a week late.  For State elections, let the States make their own rules.

    • Unfortunately, such a federal law would be immediately challenged in the courts, as the Constitution clearly puts the conduct of elections into the exclusive purview of the States. What we need is more people getting informed and active in state and local politics so that every State can conduct free, fair and uncompromised elections. The federal government's dismal record of selective enforcement of the law makes many of us very skeptical of their involvement, and just like most good clothing, one size DOES NOT fit all.

    • I also suggest all ballots be counted in their own district by voters from both parties. Witnessed and certified at each level with accountability.

  • Same play same game just a different day and year. What can the average Joe do to stop it .
