Speaker Johnson has been a total disappointment... in fact, he is no better than McCarthy.  He is incapable of holding the line on spending.  He gave away the House's strongest tool for managing government programs... the power of the purse.  Johnson has failed to Impeach Biden, Garland, Wray, and most of Biden's Cabinet.. and it appears he is not interested in doing so. There are plenty of examples where Biden and his cabinet have openly violated federal law and their oath of office.

One doesn't control the purse strings unless they are prepared to shut down the government ... and to secure the nation's purse from the stray fingers of the special interests and spendthrift members of Congress.  America's purse is moth-eaten and full of holes... The House needs to stop the hemorrhaging and repair the holes, shutting down the government if necessary to restore fiscal responsibility.

MR. SPEAKER SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT... OR RESIGN.

  • In this discussion, we’ve heard all about The Law and how it can somehow be used to rein in the democrats. We’ve also heard about what the Speaker can legally do to prevent democrats from doing this, that, or the other thing.

When was the last time the law or the Constitution actually stopped the democrats? When referring to the police or the FBI, the term “Law Enforcement” is generally used. I grant you that we certainly have the laws. What seems to have come up missing is the enforcement.

We have laws against voter fraud. We have laws against entering the country illegally. We have laws against child abuse. We have laws against perjury. We have laws against just about anything imaginable including political persecution. But we seem to be a little short on enforcement. As long as the democrats are allowed to define what is legal and what is not, there is no way to avoid the coming Totalitarian nightmare.

    • Neither party enforces the law... they are playing off one another vying for power by any means. In addition, neither party is interested in organizng and LEADING THE MASSES to reclaim their soverignty and Constitutional government. We have been betrayed by our leadership... STARTING IN THE WHITE HOUSE and working its way down into our cities and villages.

Resist as individuals or random groups of vigilantes... and get ready for a very long stay behind bars.  The public has failed to respond with appropriate passive resistance... labor strikes, tax strikes, sit-ins, and denial of access and service demonstrations. The People have procrastinated...putting off the inevitable making our problems much worse.  Christ's intervention is now our only hope... for a peaceful resoluiton to the betrayal we face.

    • I would add, 'When was the last time SCOTUS opined using Morality as a foundation for anything? Think I'm crazy. Jack Philips is still being prosecuted for not baking a cake for homosexuals. Next: Roe was decided based on State's Rights, not on LIFE. STILL a problem. Those are only two currently. 10C, Prayer, Roe, Homosexual marriage, none were decided on moralty.

    • The legislation of morality might be the slipperiest slope of all time. Right or wrong morality, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. To judge a person based on someone’s perception of morality has led to things like the Spanish Inquisition and the Salem witch trials. Even prohibition began as a moral issue.

The morality of mankind will be judged by a much higher court than the SCOTUS.

    • "The legislation of morality might be the slipperiest slope of all time. Right or wrong morality, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder."  Quote Tom

Morality is indeed in the eye of the beholder... and their interpretation... THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS.  The difference between moral and immoral is in the individuals interpretation of the act. (The Details) The codification of those details often becomes the Law of Nations, Laws become the moral guideposts for society.

God's laws are immutable and apply universally ... they are perfect and do not change.  Godly Laws CONTAIN THE IMAGE OF GOD... His Word and they are the same yesterday, today, and forever...

Morality as defined in God's Law is not arbitrary, subject to cultural deviation, or the changing times.  God's laws are His moral guideposts for the righeous.

Those cultures and nations with Godly morals create the greatest societies.  They are the spawn of God's Law... the Law of Nature.  Godly laws produce the best return for mankind's social good... the greatest commercial, civil, and governmental institutions in the world.

Our Constitution is suitable only for governing a MORAL AND RELIGIOUS PEOPLE... a GODLY CHRISTIAN people.  A people with God's law written upon their hearts, with the indelible ink of the Holy Spirit.

Those individuals who profess morality is best defined by the arbitrary judgment of man fail to understand God or Nature's laws.   There is nothing arbitrary about God or His Laws. Nature testifies to God's perfect order and mankind is best served when he agrees with God's order.... law.

Where the RIghteous rule the People prosper and enjoy the benefit of God's creation... Where the wicked rule there is great suffering and hardship.

    • Yes, exactly correct.

    • Our problem is not in defining immorality... it is in KEEPING THE LAWS that make immortality illegal.  An immoral people an their courts are the problem.

    • The Law of Nature and Nature's God is and always was, based upon the laws and standards of God. Our laws originally were from Blackstone's Law, early edition, 3rd or 4th. Ed. Blackstone originally cited scripture as the basis for law. As later editions were produced, scripture citations were replaced by ellipses. And later, the ellipses were taken out, thus removing all evidence of source.

I am not speaking of 'man's morality.' I am referring to the Only standard that our founders considered. That is why it is called the Law-of Nature and Nature's God. As Lincoln stated, "I shall never be a slave nor shall I ever own a slave." A standard that is both plumbline and foundation, that for all time, is immoveable, as applied to the issue of slavery.

The Declaration was birthed through decades of sermons published on the front pages of newspapers. Those sermons gave rise to the Black-Robed Regiment, where Pastors preached hell-fire and brimstone sermons that were published, and then threw off their robes and joined the war against the Kings army and for freedom and liberty.

It is however, doubtful if the courts today could ever re-find That standard without a strong event forcing this issue. This culture's definition of 'morality' is absolutely not the one God uses. Why not? Because we threw out the Ten Commandments.

The slippery slope we use now is the definition of 'moral relativism.' It is as evil as sin, as words twist themselves into various forms of, "Surely, God has not said...." Gen.1. Anything today that doubts God is seen as intellectualism.. (secular humanism). It is c the definition of "made in our own image." It has now descended,  with the advent of violence, into cultural marxism.

It is also the reason the plain words of the Constitution barely matter anymore. It is the Declaration that is at the higher level of authority, not the Constitution. The Declaration speaks of Spiritual and the Creation---and is meant to be the spiritual cornerstone that guides both laws and freedoms. It is not only an historic document of grievances.

It speaks to the future as a prophetic compass that must be adhered to, like glue, in order to live and be blessed and to be a blessing, and to live in a land of freedom, equality and self-governance. It is also the compass to find our way back.

    • The Declaration of Independence was never ratified by a direct vote of the people... unlike, the US Constitution it doesn't have the legal authority of the government (Union) vested in it.

However, it is a founding document and is authoritative... in its definition of our nation's fundamental precepts and principles for governing the Union...  Combined with the US Constitution the ORIGINAL AND FULL intent and meaning of the founder's vision of our government is revealed..
