  • If you call yourself a Conservative and you are not absolutely giddy with excitement about reducing the size of the Federal Government, then you may not really be a Conservative!

Speaker Johnson does point out the fact that the Federal Government does not do most things well and that the better solution is to remove government control and let We the People keep our money and take care of ourselves.  He is right!!!  If he knows that then why is he concerned with keeping bureaucrats in the payroll?

    • David, I listened to what the Speaker said.   It sounds to me like he is saying that it isn't any fun deciding that some people are going to be out of a job, but that the President is looking forward to the opportunity!

    • Speaker Johnson is, at last, staying on message and drawing clear lines between what the Republican Party wants (smaller, more efficient government) versus what the Demoncrat Party wants (massive government that takes everything We the People make, turning us into slaves of the state).  That is what I hear in this clip.

    • COL, I agree with you on the comparison between what the Republican party wants and what the Democrat party wants, but I think that Speaker Johnson is also trying to soften it by saying it isn't any fun, which it actually is in certain cases, and in those case Trump will enjoy it!

    • Speaker Johnson is NOT a real leader and his view of Christian teachings is very skewed.  He believes that any conflict is bad and that the way to demonstrate the Love of God (YHWH) is through agreement.  This is NOT the Case, but is the coward's way of problem solving.  Speaker Johnson is scared to death fo President Trump and it is only by the power God (YHWH) has given President Trump that Speaker Johnson is able to stand up and have a spine.  The truth of the matter is that both the House and the Senate have become completely corrupted.  Most anyone who is elected to serve in either of these institutions is forced into compliance with the role playing that goes on in front of the cameras.  Even those members who you and I might believe are the staunchest conservatives and who we believe are doing right by We the People and the Constitution are just play acting!  Each of them values their position of power over anything else.  The every 2 year election cycle forces each of them to cut corners and shake hands with Satan in order to make enough money to continue to fund their campaigns and keep their hold on their positions.  The 2 party system makes the problem even worse, because each of them must dedicate half of their time working on fundraising for the party if they are going to have any relevant committee positions.  It is a vicious cycle.  This is why we need a President who only allows the House and Senate to convene for roughly 6 total months out of each year and force them to return home for the other 6 months.  This way they can be closer to We the People instead of sheltered in DC with nothing but the political class.  If we had elected officials who had to spend a lot of time with We the People that would make them much more responsive to We the People and drastically reduce the power of the K Street lobbyists and the political machines of the Political Parties.  Johnson is nothing more than a product of his experience, just like everyone, and if you spend too much time with the Devil, you will take on his attributes!

    • If we followed the Constitution, each Rep would only represent 30,000 citizens, which would make Congress very large. The upside is they would have to spend most of their time in their districts, facing the ire of their people, and only travel to DC for meetings and votes and then back home again, to face the ire of their citizens. IDK how that could be changed, but it certainly is not equal representation no matter which way we look at it.

    • I've been an employer for decades and it isn't any fun to fire anyone even when they deserve it.
While I enjoy seeing the fireings in our government, I also understand the affect of it not just on the person being fired, but those around them.
We have to have compassion, feel,  if we want to remain human.........we just can't allow it to control our reasoning!
Johnson cannot be giddy even if he agrees, knows it's the right thing, he cannot look heartless, but he can enjoy the results of the decision because it is the right thing.

    • True that - - -

    • AGREED, UNLESS THEY REALLY DESERVE IT!

    • Sounds good to me
