REALITY is that Arab culture prioritizes passivity, dependency, resignation, deception, dissimilation, and quietude. It emphasizes conformity to the group and the centralization of authority at the expense of originality, innovation, and initiative. It Distains science and manual labor. Creativity is discouraged, decision making is marked by rigidity and flexibility. And morale tends to be low.
Our enemy is a culture that is deeply diseased. The enemy is Arab culture that contains the majority of the people who live in Arab nations of Egypt, Libya, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Syria, plus the Palestinians. There are lesser concentrations in Morocco, Algeria, Yemen, Oman and Pakistan. And Iran is, as usual, a complicated aspect of it. Islam is a part of the problem. Islam is both a religion and a political movement. The Qur'an is a manual for conquest, to spread Islam to the entire world, by any means necessary. All successful widespread religions are evangelistic to a greater or lesser extent but no other major religion’s holy teachings include instructions for how to go to war to spread the faith.
The real problem is that Arab culture has been an abject failure; the culture itself contains the elements of its own failure. The only Arab nations which have prospered have done so entirely because of the accident of mineral wealth. They all use and depend on Western-civilization's technology, skill, wealth and cultural to prosper. Everything they have which looks like modern culture is purchased. They themselves do not have the ability to produce, or even to operate, any of it.
The Arab culture suffers from all seven of the flaws Ralph Peters identifies as condemning nations to failure in the modern world, as follows:
1. Restrictions on the free flow of information.
2. The subjugation of women.
3. Inability to accept responsibility for individual or collective failure.
4. The extended family or clan as the basic unit of social organization.
5. Domination by a restrictive religion.
6. A low valuation of education.
7. Low prestige assigned to work.
Their economies are weak or mostly disasters. They make no contribution to the advancement of science, engineering, art or culture. They have no important diplomatic power. They are not respected. Most of their people are impoverished and miserable and filled with resentment. They have nothing whatever they can point to that can save face and preserve their egos and they know it. They hate us because our culture is everything theirs is not, the most successful in the history of the world; economically, technologically, militarily and even culturally.
What the Arabs want is to stay with their traditional culture, wishing it to be successful. The reality will always be that that isn't possible. And we can't make them successful either because their failure is not caused by us, but by the deep flaws in their culture. Their culture cannot succeed. It is too deeply and fundamentally flawed. They are facing a profound crisis of fate, and it can only resolve one of three ways:
1-the status quo can continue and they'll stagnate.
2-accept that their culture and their religion are actually the problem, liberalize their culture and embrace western ways, at least in part, in other words, reform.
3-become relatively competitive by destroying all other cultures which are more capable, lash out, fight back. It's vitally important to understand that this goal means our destruction, because they can't keep hold on what they have and still think of themselves as being successful as long as we exist
Solution 3 manifests in Arab imperialism, similar to what the world suffered in previous centuries. It was raw ambition to create an Arab empire. Solution 3 must become a war between the modern age and traditional Arab culture. It is not a war that we'll start but, one that we cannot ignore. It will pick us so we can't turn away from it. If we ignore it, it will keep attacking us. This war will continue until the traditional defective Arab culture is reformed, culturally, not just politically. The reform needed isn't just abjuration of weapons of mass destruction. It isn't just promising not to attack non-Arab cultures any longer. What the Arabs are going to have to do is to fix all seven of the problems Ralph Peters' identified. No one is safe until they do.
Arabs embrace a culture that honors dying, which means that deterrence can't be relied on when they get Nuclear weapons. Which is WHY the U.S. is so concerned about Iraq getting Nukes, because it’s a culture where suicide, even mass death, is considered acceptable. Many Arab leaders would be willing to sacrifice the lives of millions of their own people in exchange for the deaths of millions of ours. Our threat of retaliation won't prevent that, or threatening to do so. That's why we can't let them get WMD's and why time is running out.
The reality is that we cannot win this cultural war by falsely making them proud, for they are not a stupid people. The only hope is to make them so ashamed that they finally face and accept the thing they are trying to hide from in choosing to fight back: that their culture is a failure, and the only way they can succeed is to discard it and change. They've got to accept their own failure, personally and nationally and culturally. That is the crucial first step. They've got to accept that the cause of their failure is their own culture, and not the mistaken belief that we are the cause
The process is going to take decades. Along the way it's going to be necessary to remove any government which comes to power and again tries to embrace the past and become militant. No band-aid approach, such as appeasement, will do. It's a naive fairy tale to believe diplomacy can do the job because the rot runs too deep. Diplomacy would be treating the symptoms and not the true disease. And no amount of aid will stop the aggression against us. It isn't our wealth they hate; it's our accomplishments, our capabilities and our success they hate because we force them to see their own lack of accomplishments and their own incompetence.
We will be the primary target because we're the most successful. It's as simple as that. And that means that this ultimately will be a unilateral war by us; we're the ones with the most on the line. Talk of unified multilateral international action by a coalition is nonsense.
The Arab culture won't stop hating us until they become successful and begin to achieve on their own. The sooner the less the whole world, especially them, will suffer.

The one thing they all have in common is Islam, and Islam is a creation of satan, a curse on the entire world. We either stop it legally, or we will be stopping them physically on American soil! We brought this on ourselves by being willfully blind to thei goal, we allowed it.....now we'll have to figure out how to get rid of it! We are the grand prize!
