Well, then let's make it happen.  We are all working hard to elect Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan as the next president and vice president, but there are a number of critically important Senate races that need our attention too.

In these last critical days before Election Day, Patriot Voices PAC is asking you to help in these very close races.  A last minute influx of campaign cash can make the difference in a tight race so please make a donation to each candidate, or perhaps find one or two closest to where you are from and help them.  Every dollar counts.  Here's a quick recap of the closest races:

Todd Akin, Missouri
After all the attacks against Republican Congressman Akin, he is trailing Senator Claire McCaskill by only 2 points according to recent polls.  Donate to Todd Akin.

George Allen, Virginia
Current polls show Republican former Senator George Allen closing in on former Governor Tim Kaine.  This race will come down to just a few points.  Donate to George Allen.

Rick Berg, North Dakota
This race is important to Democrats and they are fighting hard to win it bringing in former President Bill Clinton to campaign for their nominee.  But recent polls show Republican Congressman Berg up by 2 points.  Donate to Rick Berg.

Deb Fischer, Nebraska
This is another race that could turn this seat from blue to red.  Republican State Senator Deb Fischer is 2 points ahead of Senator Bob Kerrey.  Donate to Deb Fischer.

Dean Heller, Nevada
Even though this is Harry Reid's backyard where Democrats have a tendency to pull out tough races, incumbent Republican Senator Dean Heller is up by 5 points against Congresswoman Shelley Berkley. Donate to Dean Heller.

Josh Mandel, Ohio
With Ohio being a key battleground for the Presidential race, Republican State Treasurer Josh Mandel is closing in on Democrat incumbent Senator Sherrod Brown.  Donate to Josh Mandel .

Richard Mourdock, Indiana 
While polls in this race have shown Republican Richard Mourdock up, tied and slightly behind his opponent, we know this race is winnable for Republicans.   Donate to Richard Mourdock. 

Denny Rehberg, Montana
Polls show Republican Congressman Rehberg and his opponent Senator Jon Tester neck and neck, with the most recent poll showing Rehberg up by 3 points.  Donate to Denny Rehberg. 

Tom Smith, Pennsylvania
Recent polls show Tom Smith within just a few points of Democrat Incumbent Bob Casey.  This is a big shift from when Casey was leading by 19 points just a few months ago.  Donate to Tom Smith .

The situation in Libya is nothing short of tragic.  Each day, just as we expect to get more clarity on what happened during the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, the opposite occurs and we learn more troubling and confusing obfuscations about the events of that night. 

Yesterday we learned that CIA operatives in Benghazi asked for help from their superiors while the consulate was under attack, and those requests were denied.  We also heard reports of Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's  insensitive and demeaning comments  to Charles Woods, the father offormer Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, who was killed in that attack. 

The Obama administration's handling of this terrorist attack is nothing short of appalling.  I authored an op-ed on TheBlaze.com that chronicles their mistakes and incompetence.  I hope you'll take a read and tell me what you think.

While we don't really know what happened that tragic night on September 11, 2012, we do one thing:  the handling of this attack and our response to it has been abysmal.  Answers about what happened are due to the American people now.

Crisis pregnancy centers help expectant moms and dads learn about alternatives to abortion and how to cope with an unplanned pregnancy. They offer vital services to young mothers, and your support of the local crisis pregnancy center in your area can make a huge difference.

There are different crisis pregnancy centers across our country, so it is difficult for us to suggest which exact one you should support. Instead, we invite you to http://www.optionline.org/ to locate a center nearest you. 

To help us support crisis pregnancy centers, we are asking you to do three things.

1.       Go to this website http://www.optionline.org/ and enter your zip code in the top right corner to find a crisis pregnancy center closest to you. 2.       Call that center and ask them if they are accepting donations at this time. If yes, find out what they need (diapers, wipes, maternity clothes for moms, etc.) and then pick the item up and drop it off at the center.

3.       If no donations are needed at this time, feel free to ask if you can volunteer or help in other ways. They will no doubt steer you in the right direction.

Are we really going to give away our sovereignty to the United Nations?

We rejected the U.N. Law of the Sea Treaty and 51 Senators have already come out against the U.N. Arms treaty, but most don't know that another dangerous treaty - that again threatens to take away our sovereignty - is sneaking through the Senate with hardly any press coverage.

Yesterday, a committee in the U.S. Senate approved a treaty that would give the United Nations oversight on how we parent our special needs kids.

How, you ask, is it that in the United States of America, our elected officials thought it wise to support a U.N. Treaty that can tell Americans how to parent their special needs kids?

My sentiment exactly.

This treaty is called the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), and if ratified, would give the U.N. oversight of the healthcare and education choices parents with special needs kids make. 

I am sure you are wondering why did our elected officials, both Republicans and Democrats, vote to approve this treaty if it is so bad?

Simply, because most believe the "bad" part of these treaties with the U.N. are never really enforced anyway. 

But what if we had a President who was willing to yield our sovereignty to international law and allow the enforcement of these treaties? Maybe we already have that President. Are you willing to take that risk?

If this were to pass, CRPD would become the law of the land under the U.S. Constitution's Supremacy Clause, and would trump state laws, and could be used as precedent by state and federal judges.

Bad international laws that could trump U.S. and state laws - whether it be about the ocean on our borders, raising our children, or bearing arms - should simply never be passed. 

The press is reporting that this treaty could move to the full Senate for consideration by next week, which means I need you to act fast.

We have to stop the ratification of this treaty!

On Thursday, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will vote on a treaty that would put us under international law when it comes to parenting our special needs children.

Yes, you read that right.

In the United States of America, there is actually discussion about adopting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), which would give the U.N. oversight of the healthcare and education choices parents with special needs kids make.  It is outrageous that the government could tell me and you what is best for our children, particularly when they've never met the child. 

As parents of a precious special needs child, Karen and I have already written to every U.S. Senator and are making calls as well to stop the ratification of this treaty.

But we can't do it alone.  Please join Patriot Voices, the Home School Legal Defense Association and others to help us stop the U.S. Senate from considering this deeply misguided treaty.

We need you to do four things to help us stop CRPD:

Do you know that the Senate is about to vote on a treaty that would put us under international law when it comes to parenting our special needs children? 

On its surface, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) sounds like it will protect those with disabilities and many are supporting it with good intentions. When you look deeper, it actually gives the government the power, with direction from the U.N., to decide what is best for our children.

I agree with Senator Jim DeMint, "Why should we submit ourselves to other nations who have been far less effective and committed to this cause? We can be the light on the hill ... why should we submit instead of lead?"

Senator John Kerry is rushing this through a committee vote today and planning for a full vote on the floor by next week. Some have suggested that they are in a hurry to get it ratified before the American people demand a debate.

Remember, if ratified, CRPD would become the law of the land under the U.S. Constitution's Supremacy Clause, and would trump state laws, and could be used as precedent by state and federal judges.

Two provisions of the treaty concern me the most:

• One provision in the treaty would give the government, acting under U.N. instructions, the ability to determine for all children with disabilities what is best for them. 
• Secondly, if CRPD were ratified, it would give the U.N. discretion over decisions about how we educate our special needs kids, and could potentially eliminate parental rights for the education of children with disabilities.

I'm sure you can understand that we come at this issue from a personal angle.

As you may know, our daughter Bella is a precious special needs child. In working with healthcare professionals, early on we found that a few advised treatments were not helpful to Bella. In fact, they could actually have been quite harmful.  As her parents, we were able to make the decisions that were best for her.

Karen and I have found that we are far from alone. Many parents across the U.S. care for their special needs children, and they are the best equipped to do so.  The government cannot determine the right education path for a child they have never met. 

Since CPRD is a treaty, the U.S. Constitution requires that it must be ratified by two-thirds of the U.S. senators present.  We need to make sure that 34 senators vote "NO"!

Karen and I are sending a letter to each U.S. Senator explaining the dangers of the very troubling U.N. Treaty. Will you please take just a minute to send an email or  make a phone call to your Senators?

Sadly, it seems that President Obama believes that we live in a country where you can change the law simply by giving a speech. 

Over the past few weeks, we have seen President Obama's absolute disregard for the Constitution on a variety of issues, from healthcare to immigration to marriage.

The role of President, by design, is quite limited. You actually do need Congress to change laws, at least according to the Constitution.

This past Friday, the President gutted the landmark welfare reform law that I coauthored in 1996. He instructed Health and Human Services (HHS) to remove the work requirement for welfare recipients.

This legislation had been passed by the House and Senate and signed by a President, which is the requirement to change laws, yet he changed this major piece of legislation and ignored the intent of Congress all by simply giving a speech.

Here are some additional abuses by President Obama:

• Earlier this year, he made three recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) when the Senate was still in session.
  
  
• He had his Justice Department file a lawsuit against the state of Arizona for enforcing immigration laws. Arizona was just enforcing the laws that Obama refused to enforce.
  
  
• By giving a speech, he announced that he would now follow the DREAM Act, a law Congress has not passed. He instructed his Department of Homeland Security to no longer deport young illegal immigrants who meet certain criteria he set.
  
  
• He instructed his Justice Department to stop enforcing DOMA, the Defense of Marriage Act, a law duly passed by Congress, simply because he did not like the law.
  
  
• He instructed HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to grant waivers, and establish new budgets and guidelines for implementing Obamacare, without any Congressional oversight.
  
  
• He had his Department of Interior illegally place a moratorium on offshore drilling. This was illegal because a federal judge in Louisiana held them in contempt of court for "dismissive conduct" for doing that earlier.
  
  
• His Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has implemented one job-killing policy after another, without Congressional approval.
