Shock Report: Migrants Become Less Integrated the Longer They Stay in Europe

Norwegian study has found the gap in labour participation rates between citizens born in Norway and third world migrants widens the longer newcomers have been in the country.

Researchers at the Ragnar Frisch Centre for Economic Research uncovered “encouraging signs of labour market integration during an initial period upon migrants’ admission”.

 

But after a period of just five to 10 years, according to the report, “the integration process goes into reverse with widening immigrant-native employment differentials and rising rates of immigrant social insurance dependency”.

“Basically we were very surprised by these results, because really the differences between immigrants and Norwegian-born citizens should be getting lesser and lesser the longer migrants have lived in Norway. We found that the opposite happens,” said Knut Røed, a senior researcher at the Frisch Centre.

Norway’s acting minister for immigration and integration Per Sandberg said the government is aware of problems highlighted by the report, but suggested that not everything can be solved politically.

“Even if the government went further still in delivering migrants jobs and opportunities, we mustn’t forget that politicians can’t force people to become integrated,” said the minister.

He added: “There must also be a significant commitment from individuals themselves, if they are wanting to succeed in Norway.”

Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang described the findings of the study as “very bad news” for the nation’s welfare state.

“The conclusion is clear: if we do not succeed in getting newcomers into work, our entire welfare model will be in jeopardy,” the paper’s editorial read.

Norway’s welfare state is not the only aspect of life in the Nordic nation that mass migration threatens to disrupt, it has been warned.

Last year, the head of the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) stated that Muslim immigrants are resistant to integration and can cause “problems” for the host nation.

“A strong increase in immigration, particularly from Muslim countries, can cause other long-term challenges. When a large number of asylum seekers come to a local community, it can have unfortunate consequences,” said PST head Marie Benedicte Bjørnland.
Last year, the head of the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) stated that Muslim immigrants are resistant to integration and can cause “problems” for the host nation.

Trump’s Agriculture Chief Tosses out Michelle Obama’s School Lunch Rules

Former first lady Michelle Obama’s dictates on school lunches were thrown out Monday by one of President Donald Trump’s Cabinet members.

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue signed a proclamation to begin to undo federal standards that the Obama administration placed on lunches in public schools and return those decisions to local schools.

“This announcement is the result of years of feedback from students, schools, and food service experts about the challenges they are facing in meeting the final regulations for school meals,” Perdue said in prepared remarks. “If kids aren’t eating the food, and it’s ending up in the trash, they aren’t getting any nutrition—thus undermining the intent of the program.”

The announcement “begins the process of restoring local control of guidelines on whole grains, sodium, and milk,” a press release from the Agriculture Department reads.

The standards, implemented in 2012, were crafted with the heavy involvement of Michelle Obama, who made better nutrition and more exercise for children part of her agenda as first lady. The standards include directives on vastly reducing use of salt, calorie limits, restrictions on meat, prohibitions on the contents of vending machines, and increased servings of whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, as the New York Post reported.

The standards implemented provisions of a law called the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. President Barack Obama’s wife also championed the law, Daren Bakst, a research fellow in agricultural policy at The Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Signal in an email.

The 2010 law set calorie limits, stipulated portion sizes, and required specific nutrients.

“Michelle [Obama] is a big proponent and defender of the standards,” Bakst said.

Perdue, the former governor of Georgia, said in a tweet that the rules have been counterproductive:

Perdue “took an important step to making school meals edible again,” Bakst told The Daily Signal. “The federal school meal standards implemented by the Obama administration have been a disaster, creating massive plate waste and imposing high costs on schools.”

Perdue’s action, Bakst said, is significant for both parents and kids.

“This issue isn’t about nutrition,” Bakst said Monday, adding:

It’s about whether one believes the federal government should dictate almost every aspect of what kids eat at schools, or if local communities, with the input of parents, should make these decisions. Today was certainly a big win for kids across the country, but it was also a big win for those who respect the opinions of parents more than those of federal bureaucrats.

Patricia Montague, CEO of the School Nutrition Association, a national nonprofit with more than 57,000 members that provides meals to students across the nation, praised Perdue’s leadership.

“I commend Secretary Perdue for taking this important step,” Montague said. “We have been wanting flexibility so that schools can serve meals that are both nutritious and palatable. We don’t want kids wasting their meals by throwing them away. Some of our schools are actually using that food waste as compost. Northern Arizona U. prof. Heather Martel orders student to stop reading Bible *before* class

Mark Holden is a student at Northern Arizona University.

Holden is a Christian.

In February, Holden arrived early to a U.S. history class with at least five minutes to spare. So he took out his Bible to read, but was ordered by the instructor, Assistant Professor Heather Martel, to stop reading the Bible because she didn’t want him to “sit in front of her” with his Bible out.

Note: Dr. Heather Martel is an Assistant Professor of History (which means she likely is untenured) and an Associate Faculty of Women’s and Gender Studies at Northern Arizona University (NAU). She claims U.S./gender history as her specialty.

Holden refused. Martel reported him to her department chair Dr. Derek Heng. Holden was called into Heng’s office. Below is an audio recording of Holden’s meeting with Heng, provided to Campus Reform by Kevin Cavanaugh for Congress.

Dr. Heng: “So, I mean, so Prof. Martel says that she doesn’t want you sitting in front of her because you put, you know, a Bible out, right?”

Holden: “Uh huh.”

Heng: “So, um, I don’t know what dynamics is going on in the classroom. Um, I mean the real key, uh, is to make sure that, you know, the class is able to go on and that you are in the classroom. I think that’s really, sort of, my prerogative here right now.”

Holden: “So she doesn’t want me front because I have my Bible out.”

Heng: “No, I think she, I mean, well, why do you have you Bible out anyway?”

Holden: “I’m just reading before class.”

Heng: “OK”

Holden: “I mean, class isn’t even started yet. I’m reading my Bible.”

Heng: “Right. So, class is gonna start soon and … are we….”

Holden: “Ya, not for another five minutes.”

Heng: “OK. So, will you, will you, will you put your Bible away?”

Holden: “I always do, every day. And I read the Bible before class and I put it away before class starts.”

Heng: “OK. Well, let me get her out and then let’s see what we can do about it, OK?”

Holden: “Sure.”

In other words, although the student Mark Holden HAD DONE NOTHING WRONG, simply because Professor Heather Martel was bothered by seeing Holden reading the Bible, History Department Chair Professor Derek Heng asks the student to put his Bible away.

Anthony Gockowski reports for Campus Reform, April 27, 2017, that prior to the Bible incident in February, Martel had accused Holden of violating the university’s policy on disruptive classroom behavior when Holden challenged Martel’s views on cultural assimilation.

Holden told Campus Reform that he had questioned the matter of cultural assimilation by citing news reports about two Muslim immigrants who erected a sign declaring that the Koran gives them the right to commit rape.

In an email that Martel sent to Holden accusing him of disruptive classroom behavior, she claims Holden had interrupted the class multiple times and “made a scene,” only stopping after a classmate intervened. Martel wrote:

“Then you raised your hand for most of the rest of class. When I acknowledged that I saw your hand but stated we would be hearing from your classmates instead, as you had already had your input, you said in a loud voice: ‘You work for me. I pay your salary.’”

Martel then sent out a second email about the altercation, not just to Holden but to the entire class, outlining “steps to re-instate civility in the classroom” and declaring emphatically that “hate speech” would not be tolerated.

Holden told Campus Reform that he eventually withdrew from Martel’s class. Holden sees the Bible incident as Martel’s and Northern Arizona University’s restriction of his free speech, calling it “a systemic problem, not just at this university, but across the United States” because most college professors are “pushing an ideology on students and any opposition to this is refuted and slashed.” While there may be students “who want to speak up,” they don’t “feel that they can because of fear about their grades.” And it’s not just students. Conservative-leaning professors face similar concerns in relation to keeping their jobs.

Casey Mattox, Senior Counsel of the Alliance Defending Freedom, tells Campus Reform that “public universities are supposed to serve as a marketplace of ideas, and Christian students are not second class citizens on their tax-funded campuses. By singling out a student’s religious views for discriminatory treatment a professor not only violates the First Amendment, but also disserves the very purpose of a university.”

Campus Reform contacted both Martel and Heng, offering them the opportunity to address Holden’s characterization of the events and offer their own perspectives, but neither responded in time for publication.

House Conservatives Won’t Pass Omnibust Without a Fight

Don’t expect conservatives in Congress to swallow the bipartisan $1 trillion spending bill, which is funding all of former President Obama’s priorities, without a fight, says Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio.

Jordan, a member of the House Freedom Caucus, said Monday he expects “lots of conservatives” to oppose the bill as written.

“Money goes to Planned Parenthood […] Money continues to go to sanctuary cities, but no money for the border wall,” Jordan explained on CNN’s “New Day.”

“I think you’re going to see a lot of conservatives be against this plan this week.”

By threatening a government shutdown, Democrats in the minority pressured the GOP to remove 160 conservative agenda items from the spending bill. They assented to the liberal demands without a fight. Rep. Jordan questioned why Republican leaders passed a short-term spending bill in the first place last fall “if we weren’t going to actually fight for the things we told the voters we were going to fight for.”

Jordan’s discontent has been matched by other House conservatives on social media. Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich., blasted the omnibus as “another deal to grow the government.”

Representative Thomas Massie, R-Ky., a Freedom Caucus ally but not a member himself, offered up criticism for the process behind the omnibust legislation.

But Congressman Jeff Duncan, R-S.C., had the most heated words in a Facebook post, describing the spending deal as “unbelievable,” and saying Democrats have successfully done “what Speaker John Boehner refused to do in 2011 – stand FIRM in the negotiations on government funding and debt for the principals and promises we (GOP) made to the American people.”

“Now – Schumer and Company have a liberal press (MSM) to support them if they stand firm and threaten a government shutdown – the GOP didn’t,” Duncan wrote. “But we do have the White House and its ‘Bully Pulpit.’”

“But when Republicans (moderates) hide from the shadow of a government shutdown and fail to stand firm, when we have House, Senate and the White House, to defund the murder and dismemberment of babies in the womb, fund border security and defund cities which are in direct violation of Federal Immigration laws, well we get crap like this latest CR – government funding ‘Deal.’”

Though many conservatives will likely oppose this omnibust deal, moderate Republicans will betray their campaign promises once again and join with Democrats and pass it.

At this point, the only way to stop the bill is President Trump’s veto power. Now, the American people will see if the president was serious when he said he would go to Washington, D.C., and fight the big government establishment of both parties.

Will President Trump veto the omnibus spending bill and demand a bill that funds the border wall, defunds Planned Parenthood, defunds sanctuary cities as he promised? PAYPAL SUSPENDS Bare Naked Islam account and refuses to give a reason why

Not only that, I have a balance in my Paypal account of $6,774.02 and they will not allow me to withdraw the money for 180 days. When I tried to transfer the money to my bank account, all they will transfer is $6.77.

I am pretty sure the reason has something to do with the kind of blog BNI is, but they refuse to state a reason. I have tried calling and emailing them several times. Below are 2 the 7 responses (all the same) to my different emails sent to Paypal.

Yes, PayPal can take your money and not give it back. However, PayPal cannot say, “We are taking your money and not giving it back.” They give other seemingly legitimate reasons.

PayPal can make you pay for chargebacks that you are not responsible for, PayPal can take your funds to satisfy customer complaints, PayPal can charge you with violating one of their agreements and take $500 out of your PayPal account FOR EACH ACCUSATION OF “VIOLATION” made against you.

Usually, there is no appeal when such actions happen. You will not win with PayPal unless you decide to take legal action. However PayPal is careful on who they target: they will make sure they victimize somebody who is not likely to take them to court (i.e., the amount of money taken from you is less than what it would cost you to take them to court).

In effect, PayPal can make up any excuse that they want and force you to pay. They have complete control over your PayPal account. If they want to debit your account, they can.

Once again, America has stood strongly by Israel, and stood up for truth and justice. It is time to finally put an end to the UN’s biased approach towards Israel,” Danon said in a statement. Earlier this week, Guterres said the UN must rectify its bias against Israel at the United Nations. Speaking to delegates at the World Jewish Congress’s plenary assembly in New York, Guterres on Sunday vowed to stand up against anti-Israel bias at the world organization and said the Jewish state must be treated like any other member state. The UN chief said that as secretary-general, he would be “on the front lines in the fight against anti-Semitism,” which he warned was on the rise in Europe and America, and called “absolutely unacceptable.” He promised to “make sure that the United Nations is able to conduct all possible actions for anti-Semitism to be condemned, and if possible eradicated from the face of the earth.” US President Donald Trump has made defending the Jewish state a core tenet of his foreign policy. “I reject unfair and one-sided actions against Israel at the United Nations,” he said during his February 15 press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington.

Why are these areas at at such high risk? Because they are designated gateway cities for Muslim refugee resettlement. This report was generated in February 2016 — it is a year later and worse. The gruesome practice of female genital mutilation is at record highs and on the rise in America, due to the influx of Muslim immigrants. FGM is mostly carried out on young girls between infancy and age 15.

FGM is a violation of the human rights of girls and women.

A new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report on female genital mutilation/cutting in the United States was released in January 2016, providing additional information on women and girls at risk.

(February 2016) Female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C), involving partial or total removal of the external genitals of girls and women for religious, cultural, or other nonmedical reasons, has devastating immediate and long-term health and social effects, especially related to childbirth. This type of violence against women violates women’s human rights. There are more than 3 million girls, the majority in sub-Saharan Africa, who are at risk of cutting/mutilation each year. In Djibouti, Guinea, and Somalia, nine in 10 girls ages 15 to 19 have been subjected to FGM/C. Some countries in Africa have recently outlawed the practice, including Guinea-Bissau, but progress in eliminating the harmful traditional practice has been slow.¹ Although FGM/C is most prevalent in sub-Saharan Africa, global migration patterns have increased the risk of FGM/C among women and girls living in developed countries, including the United States.

Increasingly, policymakers, NGOs, and community leaders are speaking out against this harmful traditional practice. As more information becomes available about the practice, it is clear that FGM/C needs to be unmasked and challenged around the world.

The U.S. Congress passed a law in 1996 making it illegal to perform FGM/C and 23 states have laws against the practice.² Despite decades of work in the United States and globally to prevent FGM/C, it remains a significant harmful tradition for millions of girls and women. In the last few years, renewed efforts to protect girls from undergoing this procedure globally and in immigrant populations have resulted in policy successes. In Great Britain and in other European countries, a groundswell of attention has focused on eradicating the practice among the large immigrant populations of girls and women who have been cut or are at risk of being cut. Moreover, in 2012 the 67th session of the UN General Assembly passed a resolution urging states to condemn all harmful practices that affect women and girls, especially FGM/C. The UN resolution was a significant step toward ending the practice around the world.

In the United States, efforts to stop families from sending their daughters to their home countries to be cut led to a 2013 law making it illegal to knowingly transport a girl out of the United States for the purpose of cutting. FGM/C has gained attention in the United States in part because of the rising number of immigrants from countries where FGM/C is prevalent, especially sub-Saharan Africa. Between 2000 and 2013, the foreign-born population from Africa more than doubled, from 881,000 to 1.8 million.³

The Risk of FGM/C in the United States

In 2013, there were up to 507,000 U.S. women and girls who had undergone FGM/C or were at risk of the procedure, according to PRB’s data analysis. This figure is more than twice the number of women and girls estimated to be at risk in 2000 (228,000).⁴ The rapid increase in women and girls at risk reflects an increase in immigration to the United States, rather than an increase in the share of women and girls at risk of being cut. The estimated U.S. population at risk of FGM/C is calculated by applying country- and age-specific FGM/C prevalence rates to the number of U.S. women and girls with ties to those countries. A detailed description of PRB’s methods to estimate women and girls at risk of FGM/C is available.

Just three sending countries—Egypt, Ethiopia, and Somalia—accounted for 55 percent of all U.S. women and girls at risk in 2013 (see Table 1). These three countries stand out because they have a combination of high FGM/C prevalence rates and a relatively large number of immigrants to the United States. The FGM/C prevalence rate for women and girls ages 15 to 49 is 91 percent in Egypt, 74 percent in Ethiopia, and 98 percent in Somalia. About 97 percent of U.S. women and girls at risk were from African countries, while just 3 percent were from Asia (Iraq and Yemen).

Girls under age 18 made up one-third of all females at risk of FGM/C in 2013. While some of these girls were born in countries with high prevalence rates, the majority are U.S.-born children of parents from high-prevalence countries. Anecdotal reports tell of U.S.-born girls being cut while on vacation in their parents’ countries of origin and of people traveling to the United States to perform FGM/C on girls here.⁵

The number of women and girls at risk varies widely across different states (see map). In 2013, about three-fifths of all women and girls at risk of FGM/C lived in eight states: California, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. California had the largest at-risk population (57,000), followed by New York (48,000), and Minnesota (44,000). Minnesota has a disproportionate number of women and girls at risk of FGM/C because of its large Somali immigrant population, estimated at more than 31,000 in 2013. While the population at risk is still highly concentrated in large “gateway” states, many immigrant families have fanned out from traditional immigrant gateways to new destinations around the country. Some states also receive large numbers of African refugees. In fiscal year 2014, one-fourth of the 70,000 refugees arriving in the United States were from Africa.⁶

Most women and girls at risk of FGM/C are living in cities or suburbs of large metropolitan areas. In 2013, 40 percent of the population at risk lived in five metro areas: New York, Washington, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Los Angeles, and Seattle (see Table 2). Looking Ahead

With the rise in international migration, the lines between issues facing women and girls in the U.S. and developing countries are blurred. Although FGM/C prevalence rates have held steady or declined in many African countries in recent years, the number of women and girls at risk of FGM/C in the United States is expected to increase in the future, as the foreign-born population from Africa increases.

Given the rapid growth of the youth population in developing countries, improving the well-being of girls has become a priority for many international organizations that promote gender equality and higher standards of living across the globe. Ending harmful practices against women and girls in developing countries could have a measurable impact on the well-being of immigrant families around the world.

Monday April 24 was Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day and in Los Angeles thousands marched in the street outside the Turkish consulate. Up in Sacramento, ruling Democrats ignored the Armenians and instead held “Muslim Day at the Capitol,” hosted by the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

“Trump reignites ‘spirit of justice’ for Muslim Day at Capitol,” headlined the news article in the Sacramento Bee, whose April 24 edition included not a word about the Armenians’ day. As CAIR’s Yannina Casillas explained, “The election of Trump and the campaign in general kind of reignited a spirit of justice within the community that was very much dormant.  A lot of people are really interested in getting more involved.”

CAIR supports several bills now pending in the state legislature, including Senate Bill 54, which bars state or local law enforcement from using their resources to help federal immigration enforcement. The measure would “prohibit state and local law enforcement agencies, including school police and security departments, from using resources to investigate, interrogate, detain, detect, or arrest persons for immigration enforcement purposes.” The bill also requires public schools, libraries, health facilities and courthouses to adopt similar policies.

CAIR is also the co-sponsor of Senate Bill 31, which “would prohibit a state or local agency or a public employee acting under color of law from providing or disclosing to the federal government personal information regarding a person’s religious beliefs, practices, or affiliation, as specified, when the information is sought for compiling a database of individuals based on religious belief practice or affiliation, national origin, or ethnicity for law enforcement or immigration purposes.”

A press conference highlighted those measures and Assembly Bill 158, which requires law enforcement agencies to indicate whether an incident was “bias related,” supposedly an aide to more accurate reporting of “hate crimes.” As Yannina Casillas explained in the April 24 CAIR press release, “Our nation needs us to build a better, bolder future. We have our work cut out for us, but we are ready to act against fear. This is the time to roll up our sleeves and be courageous.”

California governor Jerry Brown, who has been pardoning criminal deportees, issued no official statement on the April 24 “Muslim Day” event.  Neither did state Attorney General Xavier Becerra, a favorite of CAIR and a supporter of sanctuary policies.

Government disrespect for Armenians is highly unusual in a state that is home to the largest Armenian community outside of the Armenian nation. More than 200,000 people of Armenian descent live in Los Angeles County alone and Armenians thrive in Fresno, home of the late novelist and playwright William Saroyan.

George Deukmejian served as California’s attorney general from 1979 to 1983 and as governor from 1983 to 1991. Deukmejian’s parents came to the United States in the early 1900s to escape the Armenian genocide, which claimed the life of his aunt. Many Californians have similar stories.

“When you’re Armenian, history is a loaded subject,” wrote Liz Ohanesian in the April 24 LA Weekly, “Ours is one that was almost erased.” As she wrote, “we commemorate the Armenian Genocide, in which 1.5 million ethnic Armenians in the Ottoman Empire were killed by their own government. Those who survived spread out across the globe,” including her own grandparents. Books on the genocide were “so brutally violent, so filled with hate, that I couldn’t forget them,” and “eerily similar” to her family’s ordeals.

For Armenians, Ohanesian wrote, “a group of people conspired to try and ensure that people like you don’t exist. Despite that, you are here.” The survivors and their offspring have been “tasked with keeping the Armenian story from ending.”  As the day of remembrance approached, nothing like that appeared in the Sacramento Bee and the Armenians got no help at all from the government of their state.

California’s government, meanwhile, has never celebrated an official “Armenian Day at the Capitol.” State Democrats are now willing to disrespect the Armenians while showing special favors to Muslims, the very religious group that attempted to exterminate the Armenians and is now the world’s leading persecutor of Christians and other religious groups. That is about as bad as it gets but in the Golden State things can always get worse.

Terror-linked CAIR has repeatedly done the same to blacks – hijacking MLK Day and making it a Muslim day – even though it was Arab Muslims who enslaved black Africans and still do to this day.

To listen to designated terrorist group CAIR and other Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated groups, one would think Muslims are getting gunned down in the streets, beaten up, and harassed on a daily basis in America. However, actual statistics prove otherwise, with the majority of so-called “hate crimes’ being verbal assaults. In other words, childish name-calling.

Peninsula Press  Take California, where there is large Muslim population. Leaving out a spike in anti-Muslim ‘hate’ crimes following 9/11, the numbers are relatively low, with a slight spike in 2015-2106, due to homegrown Islamic terrorism in this country and widespread Islamic terrorist attacks around the world. The vast majority of alleged hate crimes against Muslims are verbal assault, graffiti, annoying phone calls, threatening emails/letters, and other minor annoyances. Actual violence including explosions and arson, rock throwing, physical beatings, etc are less than a handful for the most part.

• It publicized allegations of anti-Muslim hate crimes when there was clearly grounds for suspicion that they were fake.  HuffPost gave detailed, front-page coverage to alleged hate crimes against Muslims in America, in cases when it knew there was no supporting evidence, and/or the victim(s) had not filed a police report, or school complaint.  And despite the proliferation of well-documented fake hate crimes against Muslims (and its other Favored Groups) in recent years, HuffPost ignored basic journalistic ethics that would dictate that it do a minimal amount of research to flush these out, before reporting on them.

• It did not alert its readers that they’d been deceived.  Upon learning that a hate crime it promoted as being legitimate had never happened, was a hoax, or was perpetrated by the alleged victim, HuffPost posted no new headline on its front page that indicated this reality.  In doing so, HuffPost deliberately left its readers, and the publications around the world that ran its original story, with the false impression that the story was legitimate.

• It attempted to conceal its deception.  It replaced the headline and copy on the original allegation page with new content, that reflected the reality – but made no effort to alert the public that this was the case.  In doing so, anyone who searches “Huffington Post” and the content of the story would only find that it appeared to report the story accurately, as a fake hate crime — when documentary evidence shows that it did not.

(3) November 2016, Ann Arbor, MI: A Muslim female alleged she was physically assaulted by Islamophobe at the University of Michigan; She later admitted she made it up. (5) November 2016, San Diego, CA: A Muslim female student at San Diego State University reported she was assaulted by two Trump supporters, who also stole her car; Later her story unraveled, and she stopped cooperating with police. The student’s report of a stolen vehicle was unfounded since the student forgot where she had parked, SDSU Police Lt. Greg Noll said. HuffPost never published a follow-up headline on its front page, to indicate that this was a fake hate crime.

(6) November 2016, Charlotte, NC: A North Carolina teacher was accused of “relentless bullying and harassing” a five-year-old Muslim boy; Investigation revealed it never happened. Teacher cleared of assault allegations A local elementary school teacher has been cleared of wrongdoing following allegations of religious-based mistreatment of a student.  ten days after the results of the investigation were announced — HuffPost has still not updated the item on its Islamophobia site:

(7) March 2017, Montreal, CA: A bomb threat against was made against Muslim students at a Canadian university; Within 24 hours, police arrested a Muslim immigrant for perpetrating the hoax. Huff Post used the headline Montreal University Buildings Evacuated After Bomb Threats Target Muslim Students; These threats are the latest in a string of anti-Muslim events in Canada But never updated it with the fact that it was a Muslim man who was  charged with terror hoax after bomb threat targeting Muslim university students

HuffPost:

• Has been, deliberately, maliciously smearing America on the world stage, as a rampantly Islamophobic, bigoted, violent culture, all the way down to first-graders.

• Has continued feeding the false narrative that Muslims are at disproportionately high risk of being victims of hate crimes in America — when it knows, or should know, that in reality, Muslims are the least-likely victims of religiously-motivated hate crimes in America.  Further, as our documentation shows, HuffPost has ignored virtually all of the actual, documented hate crimes against Jews, against whom 4-6 times as many hate crimes are perpetrated than against Muslims, despite having similar population sizes in America.
