A few days ago Rand Paul whom I support and respect sent me an e mail asking me to like him on face book as this was very important to have a large number of likes. This trend in social media is beginning to reveal itself as the new stamp of legitimacy. I have also heard from friends whom I regard as knowledgeable and skilled writers who expressed frustration over that fact that there are public forum that they have attempted to blog which have essentially consigned their postings to file 13 where they are neither read or commented on. One thing that they all seem to have in common is a love of privacy, and consequently these individuals do not post every detail of their lives on facebook for all the world to see. The results of this love of personal privacy is that these individuals do not get many likes. Consequently, these individuals are not weighed by the merit of the words they write, but rather have been consigned to oblivion because they do not have many likes.
From the time that they are small children, our population is weaned on a steady diet of popularity contests. How many comedy movies have been made where the ever popular cheerleader or high school star quarter back has all the special privileges and crowds of friends. They are also manipulators and bullys as is often the case in real life. This may be funny on Comedy movies, but in real life it has created disastrous consequences. It has resulted in what Psychologist and Philosopher Eric Fromm referred to as Societal Alienation. What is more is that it has done so on a grand scale. It has permeated every segment of our society, resulting in mass wasting of human resources in talent and skill which could be utilized for the good of society. Alienation has often placed the grand roadblock in the path of creativity and human genius.
Our nation was founded as a free Republic and not as a Democracy. Thomas Jefferson warned us about the dangers of Democracy. From the Thomas Jefferson Papers in the Library of Congress "Democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where 51% of the people may take away the rights of the other 49%." Beaureaucrats and Academics rave about the glories of Democracy placing it on a sacred pedestal where it cannot be questioned. The deification of Democracy has become virtually a new state religion which must be propagated to the whole world by the sword if need be. The Greeks have been glorified as the founders of Democracy, and yet Greek Democracy had a very dark side. The dark side of Greek Democracy is plainly illustrated by the trial and execution of Socrates. Socrates was accused of failing to acknowledge the Athenian Gods, and of introducing new Gods. he was convicted and condemned democratically by the "Dikastes" and his property seized. Citizens of Athens simply by gaining a majority could vote all kinds of evils on anyone if they chose to do so.
It should be clear that this new way of certifying and legitimizing who may or who may not function in our present society is a product of those minds that seek not only to monitor your every thought and action, but who also seek the ultimate end of terminating or by passing the tenets of our Constitutional Republic. The most wicked of men are capable through cunning manipulation of gathering large followings of disciples as is evident from the ever present influence of the celebrity gurus who tell us how we should live our lives
Social Clubs in and of themselves are not bad. The lodges and various societies provide a healthy outlet for social activities. But, when political movements, government, industry, or finance and any of the many institutions necessary for the functions of human society become social clubs built upon popularity contests and it's accompanying alienation, a new caste system is created, and those institutions become dysfunctional. Coalitions of the popular have often during the course of history beaten truth to the ground, but beaten to the ground or not, truth is still truth, and the measure of truth stands on it's own merits and not whether it is popular with the masses.

AMEN! America is a Constitutional Republic but the media, who are controlled by the Shadow Government, continuously refer to the U.S. as a Democracy. This is, without a doubt, being done purposefully in order to disolve the U.S. and bring it into a One World Government.
