A Tea Party Victory

We read here: “In Nevada, tea party favorite Sharron Angle overtook a better-known rival and won the right to challenge Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the fall. The outcome delighted Reid, who hopes to revive his re-election prospects by highlighting Angle's unorthodox views, such as privatizing Social Security and eliminating the federal Energy and Education departments.”

What delights Reid is the fact that well over half of the American people depend on government entitlements. It is frightening to those folks to think about a change back to personal responsibility. One way or another, Harry, you are an accident waiting to happen. The handwriting is on the wall. It is more frightening to sit and watch America go bankrupt.

I’ve yet to hear any of those now in power getting down to the specifics of balancing the budget, they who have let the system go out of control. Everyone knows that government spending is unsustainable. It is gratifying to know that at least one candidate has the unorthodox view of privatizing Social Security and eliminating the corrupt federal Energy and Education departments. As I see it, the problem is that we don’t yet have enough like Sharron Angle. If the Tea Partly has a problem, it is not speaking out more forcefully on shrinking the present out of control government.
