America's God Covenants

America's God Covenants

When the Left denies God in our Country, please share with them, the part God has already played in our Founding.
Our disconnect with history and not challenging faulty court opinions to stand, have cost us dearly.

Let the MAGA movement, that has brought us Hope, turn into MACA. Make America Christian Again. Morality will follow. Wisdom will follow.

The Virginia Covenant, 1607:

"To propagate, to expand the gospel, the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to take the gospel to people who were "lying in darkness and had no knowledge of the one true God." "They said that was the reason they had come."   Eddie Hyatt.: Author of  The Great Prayer Awakening of 1857-58.

The Pilgrims arriving in MA, stated in 1620, "Having undertaken a voyage for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith,"

Quote by John Winthrop, who led 700 Puritans to MA in 1631:  "Others may come to the New World for wealth and furs, We have another goal, another end. We have entered into an explicit covenant with God to be His people in this New World." And they wanted to be that city on a hill, the model of Christianity for the rest of the world to see.'

These Covenants Became the Models for the US Constitution:

They pledged, each signer, to each other and to obey the laws they'd formed with God's guildance.

Geo. Washington, at the beginning of the Constitutional Convention, said, "This event is in the hand of God."

In our early documents, a minimum of 3,154 direct quotes from the Bible have been documented. Not including all 50 State Preambles/Introductions.

Our early Primers taugh phrases about Jesus Christ in the 1st Grade Primer, and  The Sermon on the Mount in the 4th Grade Primer.

The foundation for our 3 Branches of Government came from Isaiah. 33:22. "The Lord is our Judge (Judicial branch), our Lawgiver (Legislative branch), and our King (Executive Branch).

Our Declaration of Independence:  "..appealing to the Supreme Judge of the World," "We Pledge our Lives, Our Fortunes and Our Sacred Honor."
The Liberty Bell,  "Proclaim Liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants thereof..." Leviticus 25:10
The Pledge of Allegience:  "One Nation, Under God, with Liberty and Justice, for All."
The Statue of Liberty: " Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore." Matt.11:28. ("Come to me, all you who are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest")

3 days of Prayer were called for during the Constitutional Convention.
Washington called for a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, Nov. 26,1789
Washington ordered a day of "fasting,, humiliation and prayer." April 26, 1780
Washington led church services on days of Thanksgiving to praise God for His help.
Washington ensured his soldiers had Chaplains during the Revolution.

A PRAYER BY GEORGE WASHINGTON

"Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection; that thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government, and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow-citizens of the United States at large. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen"

Note: We have have longest lasting Constitution the world has ever seen and other countries have modeled theirs after ours. The average length of a Constitution at that time was 17 years.

The Mayflower Compact.
