AUSTRALIA: University professor says “Islam is a cancer on the planet and must be destroyed or totally reformed”
He deserves respect and acclaim, but he won’t get it. Queensland University of Technology journalism professor Brian McNair has been rebuked for stating the truth about Islam after three jihadi terrorists killed 7 people in central London, the third Islamic terrorist attack in Britain in as many months. ‘Enough! Islam is a cancer on the planet. It must be destroyed or reformed. Soon. Zero tolerance,’ he tweeted.
UK Daily Mail (h/t Sara S) Professor NcNair’s five tweets about Islam and the most recent terrorist attack in the United Kingdom have earned him a rebuke from QUT.
‘QUT does not endorse or condone these personal comments. These views do not reflect those of the university,’ a spokesman Robert Kidd told Daily Mail Australia on Monday.
However it is unclear if Professor McNair, who is also a critic of U.S. President Donald Trump, has been sanctioned for expressing his opinion.
Like President Trump, Professor McNair argued there was a direct link between terrorism and Islam when it came to migration.
‘Muslims are not the problem. Migrants are not the problem. The problem is Islam and what it inspires Muslims to do,’ he said.
He went further and described Islam as a religion that promoted hatred against Jews, woman and gay people. ‘Islam is not a ‘religion on peace’. It is a religion of hate, misogyny, homophobia and antisemitism. How to defeat it?,’ he said.
In May, 22 people were killed in Manchester after a British-born suicide bomber from a Libyan family, Salman Abedi, detonated himself at an Ariana Grande concert.
Two weeks on from that atrocity, Professor NcNair has praised the singer and Miley Cyrus for performing a benefit concert in memory of the people, including children, who were killed at Manchester Arena. ‘Strong, sexy women slap Islam in the face,’ he tweeted.
