Can We Trust Muslims?

If Islam is superior to Christianity then Muslims would not leave their home country.  You do not have Christians migrating to Islamic lands, because Muslim society is inherently oppressive.  If Muslims were loving then every Muslim would expect prosecution of terrorists.  Instead we see Muslims celebrating the death of Christians, Jews and non-Muslims.  It appears that Islam is intolerate and only grows not because of the superior ideology, but through intimidation. 

 

Love is far superior than hate.  Christianity is a belief were our God is loving and does not mandate servitude.  Christian faith is based on Free will, not by oppression and threats to non-believers.  Christianity does advocate lying, cheating and stealing, however, Islam the end justifies the means.  Truthful people are self correcting and until Muslims spend more energy countering the bad behaviors and extremism of Islam it is insane to believe that Muslims can be trusted or have a legitimate religion.

    The post is more about Truth and Lies, rather than religion.  We can never acquire the truth if the market place of ideas is silenced.  Regardless of the religion if it is intolerant to opposition then it is blind to discoveries (past, present, future).  Without a vision (truth) the people perish.  Truth can endure opposition, however, lies detest it.   Shall we build a nation on power (lies, rulers) or one based on value (truth, equals).

    One last word & I'm out of here. It's been interesting/amusing/exasperating & shit but one more devil's advocate comment. The God in the old testament being a big, bad walker thru the valley of death, when being quoted as being jealous/vindictive etc...was in reference to & in direct threat to the children of Israel if they crossed him or his prophets, not to every other swinging dick in the known world at the time, whereas Allah, according to Mighty More-ham-head, is here to kick ass & not even worry about taking names, much like in 'Nam where the punch line was "kill 'em all & let God sort 'em out". Good bye, adios, fiy ahman Illah, ruh Allah Y salamak, ma'aisalama, aryouvederchi, ciao, au revoir, alvedershain, AMF & "who was that masked man?" I wonder how much that fat beyatch tipped the scales...

    Tea Party Founder,  You know in the past all of those folks in the Middle East were worshipping A'lat- The Lady.  It was the patriarchy (no offense meant) of the Jewish and Christian faiths that inspired Muhammed to stop that.  The monument in Meccah was Her monument at one time.  So the haj is really a celebration of his "destruction" of A'Lat.

     

    Christians tend to get really tangled when I say that Allah is the same as their god only different, so what I'll do is say that the Abrahamic god inspired the belief in Allah.  Where the crux is that Abraham's, so say the Muslims, main son was Ismael, and that Isaac was the cast away, if you will.  That's where your beliefs combine, but I'll still use the word "inspire."

    Thanks, Craig for your clarification on Islam.  I hate to say it, but I find your religious affiliation site a bit disengenuous.  There's obviously a staunch Republican air to it.  I'm Republican myself...  The thing is, you couldn't claim to be a Deist in England, because England had an established religion.  So the testing could be very flawed.

     

    The point is, after all that there is no established religion in the United States.  The Constitution clearly states that.  You can't argue with it.  This is, and should always be a secular nation in dealings with law and legislation. 

     

    Can you incorporate morality?  Of course!  Morality and religion can be mutually exclusive.  Morality comes as an innate human trait that I think we Americans, or rather most of us share.  We all know it is wrong to kill unless we are defending ourselves, our family, or our home (include country).  Most people realize that it is wrong to take something that isn't theirs.  It's been bred into us over time due to consequences.

     

    I'm not an atheist, and then again, even the atheists that I know have morals.  I'm actually a very religious and spiritual person.  I just don't want to except a dogma that isn't mine.

    Heather - You are overlaying the discoveries of ancient cultures on Islam.   This ideology is derived from their prophet Muhammad around the 6th Century, long after Christianity had spread thoughout the world and Anglo/Saxon lands.  Anyone can look to Judges and derived many of the ideas of common law embraced by the Anglo/Saxon. 

    Anyhow, I love history and discoveries and what you are attributing to Muslims where really a product of different cultures, prior to Islam.  Islam and many religions have attempted to wipeout previous cultures, even Christianity.  It is clear that America has been a leader in discoveries largely because acceptance of diverse points of views and freedom.  This freedom is derive by the foundations of our nation, period.  Islamic lands have been parasitic on the west and suppress opposing perspectives.  It is if the lands want to enter the Christian Dark ages.   I'm generalizing, but discoveries are more abundant in open societies and less abundant in repressive societies.

    Thanks, I the Person.  Rick, I'd like to ask you where you studied and from what texts?  I don't care if you're running for Presidency, it doesn't qualify you as an authority on this history of this nation.  I, however, studied Religious Studies and Law at UNC.  I'll give you a great example of the antithetical nature, no, I'll give you two great examples of not only Founding Fathers and Presidents of this country.  Thomas Jefferson was talking to a preacher who wanted churches built on public land, and he said to this preacher, "It neither picks my pocket, nor breaks my leg if my neighbor worships one god or one hundred gods."   The other example is George Washington and the Treaty of Tripoli, he is actually talking to a Muslim leader when he said, "This country was not founded on Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, nor Muhammedism."  Surely in your class you studied the Treaty of Tripoli.

    Heather, now you are wrong, muhammed preached violence pure and simple.  here are a few of the violent text muhammed put forth.  I can go on from here.

     Koran 9:29
    Fight those who do not profess the true faith (Islam) till they pay the jiziya (poll tax) with the hand of humility.



    So here Prophet Mohammed is instructing a true Muslim to fight people of other religions until the unbelievers debase themselves and pay tax for their existence. So the greatness of Islam is revealed only when follwers of other religions are humiliated.



    Koran 8:12

    Remember Thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the believers, I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, Smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger tips of them."



    Here Mohammed is giving step by step instruction on how to torture and kill Kafirs if they don't follow Islam.



    Koran 9:5

    "Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolators wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."



    In the above verse Prophet Mohammed is clearly instructing his followers to kill the idolators in any brutal way possible until the idolators submit themselves to Islam. Allah is indeed merciful !!



    Koran 9:73

    Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their Home: an evil fate.



    Here Mohammed is trying to justify his brutal acts. He conveniently claims divine justification for the expression of his hatred by saying Allah himself revealed to him personally that people of other religions are evil and belong in Hell. Therefore, according to Mohammed any barbaric act against the unbelievers is completely justified.



    Koran 4:144

    Believers, do not choose the unbelievers rather than the faithful as your friends. Would you give Allah a clear proof against yourselves ?



    This verse clearly states that a Muslim can only befreind a Muslim. Mohammed in order to ensure that his followers will not befriend and get influenced by people of other religions, revealed this verse. This verse illustrates that if a Muslim befriends a Non-Muslim than the wrath of Allah will be on him. Therefore in Islam, people of other religions should be treated with contempt,disrespect and cruelty.
