Entitled NFL Kneelers And Their Fans PISSED At What Big Billboard Says That Just Popped Up Overnight
The NFL national anthem controversy is still swirling as players continue to kneel despite the negative public backlash. Numerous companies have pulled their advertisements, fans are boycotting the games, and television ratings continue to plummet on a weekly basis.
The NFL players who are apart of this disrespectful demonstration against our country still claim that their intentions are pure and they are just trying to draw attention to racial inequality in America. However, despite their assertions, these arrogant NFL players are not winning anyone over, but continue to alienate their fan base. Now, one company is voicing their opinion on these nasty protests on a public billboard that has these racist players and their supporters livid.
Over the past several months, supporters of NFL players who kneel during the anthem defend their actions citing that they are exercising their right to free speech. However, when anyone says anything against these disrespectful players, they are quickly attacked and immediately called hateful names and accused of being a racist.
So, much for free speech, right?
At any rate, as the controversy continues to rage over these players and their national anthem protest, one company in York, Pennsylvania has decided to enter the fray. Maple Donuts a regional donut chain that is known for their tasty treats has erected several billboards along the US Route 30 corridor that read “Maple Donuts takes a stand, not a knee.”
Of course, the favorite donut company is facing harsh criticism from those who support the NFL protests, and just as anticipated they have already inserted the race card.
Here is more from Fox 43:
Maple Donuts is known for delicious sweet treats, but the company’s latest choice in advertising is sour for some customers.
“We’re a very patriotic company. We fly the flag every day,” said Jim Nelson, a manager for Maple Donuts.
Maple Donuts is all about the red, white, and blue: a “God Bless America” sign, dozens of American flags, and a sign honoring President Trump.
Now, a new billboard saying, “Maple Donuts takes a stand and not a knee” in response to recent NFL National Anthem protests.
“It just went right in line with our company values,” explained Nelson.
On Facebook, people react to the signs, one post receiving hundreds of comments after a user said, “I wish the owner of Maple Donuts wouldn’t use race as a wedge issue to sell donuts.”
The owner of Porky’s Place, a veteran, says the advertising is creative.
“He takes advantage of current events and incorporates it with his advertising, and he’s done some really cool things, and you can`t blame him for that. That’s good business, I think,” said Joe Oaster. “I don’t see race in that at all. We can all look at an apple and see different things.”
The sign’s visible on main roads throughout York County: Route 30 and Queen Street, just two places where there’s a billboard.
”I didn’t think about it as a race thing. I thought about it more as a football thing. It could be misinterpreted,” said Sarah Sloanaker of York County.
It’s not the first time maple donuts has used a social issue in an advertisement: an OJ Simpson reference here. This current billboard though? Not a means to divide, according to Nelson.
“Absolutely not. Charlie and our company is 100 percent patriotic. It’s pushing the envelope a little bit, and Charlie’s personality is coming out in those billboards,” he said.
So, let’s break this down for those in the nosebleed section of the stadium, shall we?
These NFL players essentially spit in the face of our military and its veterans and then go on to bash police officers by claiming that those in law enforcement “murder” black people. Then to make matter worse some players have equated NFL owners to slave masters, BUT when someone begs to differ they are the ones that are inserting race?
Maple Donuts is merely voicing their opinion on the NFL protests, and unlike those on the left, they most likely won’t cry over these bullying tactics. The owners of this company have every right to show their patriotism, and unlike the anti-American NFL players, more people agree with Maple Donuts than not. Maybe it is about time that those players participating in these absurd national protests take note of what is important to the American people and quit with divisionary tactics.
