Feel the Tax Bern
While Republicans like Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are working on ways to lower taxes, Bernie Sanders is rolling out a multitude of ways to raise them. And not just rate tweaks here and there; we're talking tax hikes to the tune of nearly $20 trillion over 10 years. Some $14 trillion in tax hikes on both businesses and individuals are meant to fund Sanders' single-payer health care plan. But Bernie also wants to raise Social Security taxes, other payroll taxes, capital gains taxes, the death tax, corporate taxes, oil taxes and marginal income tax rates. As we've noted before, at least Sanders has the integrity to admit he's a socialist. That ideology is exactly what inspires all these tax proposals, since the Left is all about certain people paying their "fair share" so that income can be redistributed to favored constituents. If you think the economy is in the ditch right now, just wait and see what would happen if Sanders got his way. -The Patriot Post

Robert E. Lee Today we take a moment to remember the birth anniversary of Robert E. Lee (1807-1870), one of the greatest military commanders in American history. He was also a great man of faith who gave his all for the cause of Liberty and states' rights.

There were many honorable men of the Confederate States of America, whose objective was, first and foremost, the protection of states rights, and decidedly not the continuation of abhorrent institution of slavery. For a better understanding on the issues of the day, read this perspective on Abraham Lincoln, which was not included in your grade-school civics class. The honor we give these men has its roots in the founding of this great nation.
Mark Alexander notes in his essay, "Lincoln's Legacy at 200," that "the causal case for states' rights is most aptly demonstrated by the words and actions of Gen. Lee, who detested slavery and opposed secession. In 1860, however, Gen. Lee declined President Abraham Lincoln's request that he take command of the Army of the Potomac, saying that his first allegiance was to his home state of Virginia: 'I have, therefore, resigned my commission in the army, and save in defense of my native state ... I hope I may never be called on to draw my sword.' He would, soon thereafter, take command of the Army of Northern Virginia, rallying his officers with these words: 'Let each man resolve to be victorious, and that the right of self-government, liberty, and peace shall find him a defender.'" -The Patriot Post

Could a Movie Derail Hilly Clinton for Good? ..
Benghazi. Four Americans killed. A film with the recurring theme of a fading superpower that trades on its still-existing military power while trying to figure out its purpose. A movie depicting men who were denied everything yet gave everything they had to protect their fellow Americans.
"13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" is the title of this newly released movie and it tells the story of what happened during the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. consulate from the perspective of American fighters on the ground. According to The Washington Post, Paramount insists the film is "not political," but the Post argues that it is political — even though former Secretary of State Hilly Clinton is not mentioned by name and Barack nObama is mentioned only in passing. The Post has a point, but that's only because nObama and Clinton politicized the attack from the beginning.
Further, while the movie does not directly attack the nObama administration, it does show the general incompetence, corruption and sluggish bureaucracy in Washington. And it shows what our guys on the ground went through having been abandoned by nObama and Clinton.
National Review's David French, an Iraq war veteran, notes, "The Benghazi controversy is the story of three great failures — the failure to either fortify or evacuate Benghazi when threats increased, the failure to adequately protect and support American personnel during the attack itself, and the repeated lies told the American public after the attack to minimize both the nature of the jihadist threat and the scale of the administration's incompetence." -The Patriot Post

Former Hilly Clinton Spokesman:
There’s No Republican War on Women

Mo Elleithee
.
{insidesources.com{ ~ For years, Democratic Party leaders have attacked Republicans for waging a “war on women.” Now a former spokesman for the Democratic National Committee — and Hilly Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign... is denouncing that rhetoric as “overly incendiary,” “not true,” and part of why Americans hate politics. “I do not believe that there’s any sort of Republican war on women,” Mo Elleithee said Tuesday. “I hate when people say that, just as I hate when Republicans say that there’s a Democratic war on religion or the military.” Elleithee made his comments at an event for Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service, which he’s run since leaving the DNC in June. The longtime Democratic operative later told InsideSources that Republican policies are bad for women, but “overly hyped” political language turns voters off.http://www.insidesources.com/former-hillary-clinton-spokesman-theres-no-republican-war-on-women/?utm_source=drudge&utm_medium=cpm&utm_campaign=january

Clare Lopez Exposes Benghazi,
Clinton & Blumenthals!
.
{noisyroom.net} ~ Clare Lopez, former CIA analyst and member of the Citizens Commission on Benghazi chronicles how Hilly Clinton created and plotted the video narrative to deflect attention away from the State Department's illegal gun running operation in Benghazi... This segment examines emails from Sidney Blumenthal, a personal confidant of the Clinton's, which are designed to place the blame of the Benghazi attack NOT of the nObama/Clinton Administration but on the foolish video "Innocence of Muslims." In an almost unbelievable disinformation moment, Sidney leads Hilly to use his son Max's article about the video as the cause of the attack. Do not miss this segment of the Benghazi series, "What Difference Does it Make," where Clare Lopez and Tom Trento deconstruct the Blumenthal/Clinton act of treason..

Of those three Axis members – Iraq, North Korea and Iran – the latter two remain committed to destabilizing a world order America seeks to maintain. For them to be successful, America must be destroyed. While one Axis member looks to play the role of an accessory to this evolution, the other looks to be the hit man.

Evil nurtures evil. We saw this during World War II. Two ideologically diverse dictatorships – Japan and Germany – were able to come together to form the Axis powers along with Italy to combat Western democracies. The Axis powers only failed after the Free World came to understand and defend against the threat.

Some experts doubt Pyongyang did successfully test a hydrogen bomb. However, a ground disturbance, registering at 5.1 magnitude and initially believed to be an earthquake, was detected by international seismic monitoring stations just before North Korea made the announcement. Those seismic characteristics have led others to give Pyongyang’s claim credence.

Needless to say, the White House – which has proven incapable of recognizing threats from the Islamic State to a nuclear deal with Iran that it has already violated – downplays the North Korea threat as well.

But, if Pyongyang did test a hydrogen bomb, it is most disturbing as such a weapon is a hundred times more powerful than an atomic bomb.

While nObama seeks to dismiss the test’s low-kiloton yield and relatively small seismic wave, an expert on electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weapons, Peter Vincent Pry, does not.

EMP is created either by nature – i.e., severe solar storm activity striking the Earth – or by man – i.e., a high-altitude detonation of a nuclear device. Regardless of the source, an EMP’s impact would be devastating.

A strategically detonated nuclear weapon above the U.S. could kill 90 percent of the population. Most deaths would result, not from the explosion, but from its after-effects – destroying our electrical grids and causing critical infrastructure failure. Recovery could take four to 10 years, costing $2 trillion for the first year alone.

The good news is, it is highly unlikely Pyongyang would use it to launch a first strike directly against the U.S. The bad news is, Pyongyang would sell the weapon to Tehran, which would.

The two Axis member nations have long been working together on a nuclear arms program and potential delivery system. Iranians previously attended both missile and nuclear tests conducted by North Korea. In fact, it has been speculated Iran may be outsourcing some nuclear weapons development to Pyongyang.

And, lest there be doubts Shairah Law might bar the use of EMP weapons, Muslim scholars have ruled otherwise, justifying usage as electronics, rather than people, are directly targeted. A secret Iranian military handbook, obtained by U.S. intelligence, endorses EMP usage as well.

Earlier North Korean/Iranian collaboration led the former to surreptitiously build a nuclear reactor in Al Kibar, Syria, on behalf of the latter – obviously funded by Tehran. However, before the reactor became operational, Israel destroyed it in a September 2007 raid. Most telling was the fact the Syrians chose to maintain a low profile on the matter, quickly razing the site without allowing international inspectors access beforehand.

Cash-strapped, Pyongyang is willing to sell anything to anybody who has the money to pay for it. nObama’s ill-advised nuclear deal with Iran will now put more than $100 billion in Tehran’s coffers, giving it the ability to pay North Korea whatever its asking price for an EMP weapon may be. Thus, we may well be sowing the seeds of our own demise.

U.S. intelligence officials reported while they were not “strategically” surprised by the North Korean test, the specific timing of the detonation did catch them off guard. This brings into question U.S. Secretary of State John hanoi-Kerry’s assurances about our ability to monitor any nuclear mischief by Iran.

The two Axis of Evil members share a common goal – only seeking to play different roles to achieve it. Pyongyang seeks to provide a nuclear bullet; Tehran seeks to use it.

During the Cold War, a nuclear exchange never occurred as both sides’ actions were restrained by the theory of Mutual Assured Destruction. Ironically, the thought of one side launching a nuclear attack that would trigger a similarly devastating retaliatory strike provided both sides with a level – albeit an uneasy one – of comfort.

But this theory’s comfort level is lost on Iranian mullahs whose apocalyptical beliefs leave them with thoughts of sexual “sugar plums dancing in their heads.” They would welcome a devastating retaliatory nuclear strike sending them on their way to an afterlife of milk and “honies” – the latter an endless supply of“eternal” recycled virgins – as promised by Prophet Muhammad. Thus, they have no fear in launching a first strike.

nObama’s failure to grasp this mindset was evident in his final State of the Union Address on January 12 when he boasted, “No nation attacks us directly or our allies because they know that’s the path to ruin.”

With the purported successful testing of a hydrogen bomb by North Korea and an apocalyptical eagerness by Iranian mullahs to get just such a device in their hands, the U.S. president responsible for protecting us should be getting nervous. We should be getting nervous that he is not.
