Approach to Cyber-Enabled Economic Warfare

{ defenddemocracy.org } ~ The United States and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) are engaged in an increasingly intense political, economic, and military competition spanning not only throughout East Asia, but also around the globe... In this competition, China uses cyber means to enhance its strategic position vis-à-vis the United States and its allies and partners. China is engaged in wide-ranging cyber intrusions and network exploitations causing massive damage to U.S. and other foreign firms annually. By advantaging Chinese enterprises at the expense of competitors from the United States and its allies and partners, these attacks cumulatively degrade U.S. national security. This cyber campaign is an integral part of China’s broader security strategy and has undermined both American prosperity and security. And yet, it has not garnered the public attention warranted by its severity. For years, the Chinese government has engaged in cyber-enabled economic espionage and other covert and clandestine activities to strengthen China’s economic competitiveness and strategic position. China is estimated to be responsible for 50 to 80 percent of cross-border intellectual property theft worldwide, and over 90 percent of cyber-enabled economic espionage in the United States. Various study groups have estimated that Chinese intellectual property theft could cost over $300 billion annually to the U.S. economy. The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission has concluded that Chinese espionage “comprises the single greatest threat to U.S. technology.” Chinese espionage has not only damaged U.S. companies, but has also helped China save on research and development expenses while catching up in several critical industries. The cumulative effect of China’s cyber-enabled economic espionage has been to “erode the United States’ long term position as a world leader in science and technology innovation and competitiveness.” Perhaps most worryingly, China is reversing many of the U.S. military’s technical and industrial advantages and creating potential vulnerabilities should a conflict arise...

He pointed to the case of his former CIA colleague Sabrina de Sousa as a case in point. Jihadist recruitment exploded during scumbag/commie-Brennan's time in the scumbag/liar-nObama administration despite the conscious effort to not use terms like "Islamic" or "jihadist" to describe Muslim terrorists. It would have designated any purchase of a book that opposes the homosexual and transgender campaigns “consumer fraud,” but its sponsor at the last hour withdrew it. It’s just one of the many unusual laws considered or adopted by the state’s legislature. Issues have included sanctuary cities, workplace conditions for illegal aliens, guns, vaccinations and sex education. Columnist Barbara Simpson recalled in a WND column that the state required “micro-stamping” of bullets for handguns so they could be linked directly to a shooter. She explained that the state Supreme Court affirmed the law, even though the “technology to comply with the law does not exist.” “The Associated Press summed it up: ‘The California Supreme Court says state laws cannot be invalidated on the grounds that complying with them is impossible,'” she wrote. Now, California is considering another law stirring controversy, notes columnist Terry McLaughlin, who writes for The Union newspaper of Grass Valley, California. AB 1810, which was signed by Gov. Jerry Brown in June, will “imperil the safety of our very lives.”...

And she quickly showed herself to be more prepared than not only the man sitting to her left but also her own boss. When Mark Zuckerberg testified in front of the same committee in April, he dodged most of the questions and promised to get back to Congress on 29 separate things he did, albeit with vague answers. But Sandberg used that same crutch only four times today. Contrary to the chaos outside her hearing, she was an oasis of calm. First and foremost, Sandberg did a much better job of defining and defending Facebook in person than Zuckerberg, who recently tried to explain himself in a Washington Post editorial. “Social media enables you to share what you want to share when you want to share it without getting permission from anyone,” she said. “The most important determinant is choice.”...

Socialism and Race Drive Another dummycrats-Demo Upset

by Political Editors: There’s a trend in the dummycrats-Democrat Party illustrated by yet another primary upset Tuesday, when 10-term dummycrats-Demo Rep. Mike Capuano of Boston was defeated by Ayanna Pressley. Like commie-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s 57-42 defeat of 10-term Rep. Joe Crowley, the number four House dummycrats-Democrat, in June, the Boston race wasn’t even close. Pressley won 58-42 — nearly the precise numbers of commie-Ocasio-Cortez’s victory. The difference is Pressley didn’t come out of nowhere. She was a political operative in Massachusetts and in Congress for years (she’s too old to be a Millennial), and Capuano saw her coming. He just couldn’t stop her.

Two things stand out to us. The first is the more obvious: Pressley didn’t just duplicate the commie-Ocascio-Cortez upset by the numbers; she’s a socialist in the mold of commie-Bernie Sanders. Indeed, commie-Ocasio-Cortez endorsed Pressley and congratulated her “sister in service” for the win. The party as a whole is shifting significantly left.
Second, this is about dummycrats-Democrat race-baiting. For years now, the party has promoted identity politics tied to the color of skin. Pressley, a 44-year-old black woman, was too attractive to a minority-majority district for a 66-year-old white guy to hang on. Todummycrats-Democrats, straight white guys are just the worst, and the only thing Capuano had going for him is that he isn’t a Southerner.
“It’s not just good enough to see the dummycrats- Democrats back in power. It matters who thosedummycrats- Democrats are,” Pressley told her own supporters. “While our president is a racist, misogynistic, truly empathy-bankrupt man, the conditions which have made [this district] one of the most unequal in America were cemented through policies long before he ever descended the escalator at Trump Tower.” The rest of the old white guys leading the dummycrats-Democrat Party best look over their shoulders.
