Hollywood Hypocrisy on Weinstein Is Off the Charts
LePcuYJzxKBwTeVntGzIo0ntnimd_nNxBXX92_P9CDImHjd3dN2fAYZgm-Fl4bkRxtYPK4XoDENHxbEMh7PlHAN_zcFvJ2nFnktHTjSubsvi1hfmM10aCOuXp-cSAH8=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Nate Jackson:  By now everyone knows the basic allegations against longtime Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein. After The New York Times exposed “decades of sexual harassment accusations” last week, The New Yorker turned up the heat yesterday with three allegations of actual rape. (That’s after NBC News inexplicably passed on the scoop.) And while Weinstein was the primary villain, The New Yorker adds this: “A female executive with the company described how Weinstein assistants and others served as a ‘honeypot’ — they would initially join a meeting, but then Weinstein would dismiss them, leaving him alone with the woman.” In other words, he had accomplices.

Aside from the actual alleged crimes committed by Weinstein, a sick man whose wife has left him and who’s now in Europe for sex addiction therapy, the primary theme here is hypocrisy.
Hypocrisy from those in Hollywood who knew about Weinstein’s behavior without speaking up (or, worse, who aided him), all while advancing the Left’s “war on women” nonsense as if Republicans are the real villains. And hypocrisy from Democrats who happily lined their own pockets with donations from Weinstein while politically advancing that same phony narrative.
liar-Hillary Clinton and Barack liar-nObama stand out, though we do note that, nearly a week after the story broke, both were finally shamed into speaking out against Weinstein. liar-nObama’s daughter Malia interned for Weinstein, and the movie mogul raised millions of dollars for Democrats and liar-nObama specifically. No wonder it took him a week to say anything about being “disgusted by the recent reports.”
As for liar-Clinton, who made the bizarre assertion that Trump was a creep in the second presidential debate, she was “shocked and appalled” by the allegations. She did not — on record, anyway — fault Weinstein’s accusers for “bimbo eruptions” as with the women who accused her husband of rape. Maybe she’s too busy coping with Chardonnay.
A final note: Rather than simply return Weinstein’s money and wash their hands of the affair, Democrats are essentially laundering the money to leftist organizations like Emily’s List that work to elect Democrats

{rickwells.us} ~ Retired Las Vegas Police Lieutenant Randy Sutton discusses some new revelations regarding the interactions between the Las Vegas Police Department and the Mandalay Bay security department... and a failure to get information to officers who were on Mandalay Bay property prior to the shooting into the concert. He says he finds the discrepancies between the original police version of what happened and stating that it is “the first time we’ve heard about this maintenance worker.” It’s not the first time he was mentioned, he was referred to in passing in the original timeline of what security officer Campos encountered, but to a much less detailed degree. He also references the change in the story to Campos being shot before the shooting into the event began and the six minute delay between firing at Campos and firing into the crowd at the event. He says, “Now keep in mind, what’s really important here is that there were two Metro officers in the security office at the time of the shooting.”...  https://rickwells.us/second-employee-radioed-cops-werent-told/

Hey Liberals, If Trump Decertifies
JCPOA Iran Deal…It’s liar-nObama’s Fault

{lidblog.com} ~ Here’s a little secret the liberals won’t admit to, If as expected President Trump doesn’t certify the JCPOA the blame should go to former President liar-nObama... liar-nObama doesn’t get the blame because he made a lousy deal with Iran (although that’s true), nor does he get the blame because he lied to the American public about the deal (also true). liar-nObama gets the blame because of his hubris. Just as he did with illegal aliens and elements of liar-nObamacare, the former POTUS knew he didn’t have the votes needed in the Senate to approve a treaty, because the JCPOA didn’t have the necessary support of the American people. But most progressives do, President liar-nObama believed he knew better than the American people so he did not submit the deal in a constitutional manner as a treaty which would have tied future leaders’ hands, instead, he skirted the constitution and treated it as an Executive Agreement which doesn’t even tie President Trumps shoes... http://lidblog.com/trump-decertifies-jcpoa-deal-its-obamas-fault/

{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ The United States is withdrawing from UNESCO because of what the Trump administration said is a "continuing anti-Israel bias" from the education and science organization... State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said in a statement Thursday the U.S. would be pulling out of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization by the end of the year. "This decision was not taken lightly, and reflects U.S. concerns with mounting arrears at UNESCO, the need for fundamental reform in the organization, and continuing anti-Israel bias at UNESCO," Nauert said. The State Department said it plans to "remain engaged" with the organization as a non-member...  http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/us-to-withdraw-from-unesco-due-to-anti-israel-bias/article/2637275?utm_campaign=Washington%20Examiner:%20News%20Alert&utm_source=Washington%20Examiner:%20News%20Alert%20-%2010/12/17&utm_medium=email

{dailysignal.com} ~ President Donald Trump has made it clear that he does not like the flawed and risky 2015 Iran nuclear agreement that he inherited from the liar-nObama administration... He called it one of the worst deals ever negotiated during the presidential campaign and declared it to be an “embarrassment” in his speech to the United Nations General Assembly last month. When asked what he will do about it, he said, “I’ll let you know.” The White House has tentatively scheduled a major speech for Thursday that is expected to outline its official policy on the nuclear deal. Decertification would not automatically abolish the nuclear deal, but would set the stage for Congress to review the agreement. Congress would then have 60 days to debate whether to restore nuclear-related sanctions lifted by the nuclear deal... http://dailysignal.com/2017/10/11/trump-nix-iran-deal/?utm_source=TDS_Email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=MorningBell&mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiWXpKbE1qWmpPRFU1TWpobSIsInQiOiJ1THRkbURNRkFzYjA2YXZaQkNzaWxBa3FMY2doREFpakxlV1wvdFlyWHcwUWVzRVhiRW5mQXl2TFZBSEF0RDFIcTdUWjcyeDNVaWtlZGZvU3BpaWZKTGFJMXM1RFJMazg2cjZ0bkY5TGI5WitrTWp3N2F4RFRJdHRrUStKN1dMVk0ifQ%3D%3D

liar-nObama Library Won’t Have Books Or

{rickwells.us} ~ It’s pretty much what we would expect from a pretend ‘president,’ a pretend library as a monument to his eight years squatting in the White House... Normally libraries have books and reference materials, that’s part of what make them a library. For liar-nObama the most important component of being a library is the funding and being able to secret away government documents inside it for five years, beyond even the reach of Congress. Always anxious ignore or abuse the spirit and intent of laws and regulations to their benefit, Obama Foundation Officials plan to circumvent “onerous federal standards” by creating an online archive for what they are calling the Barack liar-nObama Presidential Center, rather than real paper books... https://rickwells.us/obama-library-books-pretend-president/

SEXUAL HARASSMENT
by Burt Prelutsky

According to the Left, there is even a political angle to be considered when it comes to sexual harassment. So, it was never regarded as such a big deal when it was liar-Bill Clinton who was doing the harassing. In his case, it was just a case of boys being boys. There was even the unspoken subtext that it was understandable, considering he was married to liar-Hillary.

If I recall correctly, Barbra Streisand even let it be known that she wouldn’t object to being sexually harassed by President liar-Clinton.

However, when it was a couple of conservatives named Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly, who stood accused of these moral transgressions, it suddenly became a hanging offense. How dare these two guys behave as if Fox News were their own private harems!

Now that it’s Harvey Weinstein, the CEO of Miramax, who, we learn, has been demanding sexual favors from a number of actresses, the media are back once again to either ignoring or playing down the scandal. That’s because Weinstein has long been one of the major donors to the Democrats, and was well-known to be a bigtime bundler for Mrs. liar-Clinton, using his clout to make sure that his show biz associates kicked in handsomely to ensure the liar-Clintons got back into the White House.

In some cases, it all comes down to whose ox is being gored. At other times, it’s more a matter of which ox is doing the goring.

The question in my mind is how Hollywood will treat Ashley Judd, thus far the biggest name among Weinstein’s accusers. Surely, her fellow celebrities must be conflicted, recalling that Judd joined Madonna on stage in Washington, D.C., denouncing Trump in the most vulgar terms the day after his inauguration.

● It was inevitable that the Senate would begin even before the blood was dry in Vegas to call for additional gun control legislation, legislation which, as usual, would have done nothing to prevent Stephen Paddock’s murderous rampage.

U.S. Senators, as you may have noticed, don’t object to doing nothing; they merely resent being seen doing nothing, especially if a white person has used a gun to commit homicide.

● What nobody -- neither those who object to the Iran nuclear deal nor those who support it -- has explained is how anyone knows if Iran is complying with the agreement. No impartial agency, assuming there is such a thing, has access to their nuclear plants, just as they had no access to Iraq’s. What’s more, the deal, which Trump justifiably described as the worst one America ever made, was only meant to delay Iran’s nuclear development for 10 years, and that point would be reached prior to the end of Trump’s second term.

It's bad enough to kick the can down the road when it involves something like our federal budget, but far worse when the can has a nuclear warhead.

It’s a shame that the world has such a short memory. Had the U.S., France and Britain, intervened early on, Nazi Germany would never have been able to storm through Europe, killing millions along the way. But it’s not just memory that is lacking; it’s will. And so, the West dithers around, presumably waiting for Iran and North Korea to be fully locked and loaded, fearful, it appears, of waging wars they might actually be in a position to win.

● Question: What do you call 13,000 people sneaking into Canada? Answer: A good start.

Apparently, that’s how many American citizens and illegal aliens have recently crossed our northern border, seeking sanctuary, fearful of what might transpire, what we can only hope might transpire, under a Trump administration.

● Because I am a baseball fan, I recently boasted that, unlike football, no baseball player had taken a knee at the playing of the National Anthem.

It turns out I was mistaken. It seems that a 26-year-old black rookie catcher for the Oakland A’s, Bruce Maxwell, not only took a knee, but sent out a bunch of tweets, packed with f-bombs targeting President Trump. The good news is that Maxwell only batted .237, with three home runs and 22 rbis in 76 games, so it’s possible that his rookie season will also be his final season.

● While liberals have often taken to the courts to complain about congressional districts that appear to have been drawn to favor conservatives, nobody has seen fit to point out the pains that the Illinois legislature took in order to ensure that race-baiter Luis Gutierrez would have even less trouble being re-elected than Mad-Maxine Waters.

His district is composed of two separate parts that are attached at only one spot at the far west end, a spot that appears to be no more than a single block long.

In the bottom portion of the district is a small island entirely surrounded by Gutierrez’s turf. It looks like Guam in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It must be filled with sensible people who think that illegal aliens should stay home.

Perhaps it would serve the Republicans well to occasionally be the ones in court fighting over gerrymandered districts. Defense plays an essential role in waging political wars, but, as with actual warfare, you don’t win without an equally adept offense.

● I recently addressed the fact that although it has always been the Democrats who took the lead in oppressing black Americans -- whether it was the creation of the KKK, the passage and enforcement of Jim Crow laws or the opposition to the Civil Rights Act -- 95% of blacks continue to vote for them. One of my subscribers wrote to say that even the most prosperous blacks seem to believe that white society owes them, and that the Democrats can always be counted on to pay extortion in exchange for votes.

That happens to be the way I see it, too. Although blacks have been complicit in their own decline, both morally and materialistically, it’s also true that the Democrats have been only too happy to provide them with the shovels so they can further bury themselves in the depths of society.

It’s merely anecdotal, but I think it’s telling, so I will share my experience. When I’m standing in a checkout line at the supermarket and there are little kids in the cart in front of me, I’ll wave or wink at them. At which point, they either wave back or they try to duck behind their mom and peek shyly back at me.

In my neighborhood, the kids are generally white, Hispanic and, occasionally, Asian. The one time I went into my shtick with a little black three or four-year-old, he scowled back at me, like a miniature Sonny Liston. It struck me that he had already been informed by his parents that white people were out to get him. I was overwhelmed with a feeling of hopelessness. And I still am, all these months later.

● Someone sent me a picture of a young woman wearing an atypical t-shirt.  It read: Support LGBT (Liberty, Guns, Bible, Trump). I imagine that in certain quarters, the item is flying off the shelves.

● Another subscriber complained that a member of Congress can retire after a single term and receive a pension equal to 100% of his salary. I wrote back to say that I understood that a pension only kicked in after five years, and that it was for 50% of their salary. But I added: “But after five years, they’ve gotten so rich, thanks to insider trading, they don’t really need a pension.”

● A subscriber, Russ Mothershed, he of the Knoxville, Tennessee, Mothersheds, sent me a list of things titled “Ramblings of An Old Mind.” For the life of me, I can’t imagine why he’d send me such a list. But, knowing that I have some older readers, I’m happy to pass along a few of the items.

“I decided that old age is when you still have something on the ball, but are just too tired to bounce it.”

“When people see a cat’s litter box, they always say, ‘Oh, have you got a cat?’ Just once, I’d like to say, ‘No, it’s just for company.’”

“Employment applications always ask who to call in case of an emergency. I suggest: ‘An ambulance.’”

“The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight because by then your body and your fat have gotten to be really good friends.”

“The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement.”

“The sole purpose of a child’s middle name is so he can tell when he’s really in trouble.”

“Have you ever noticed that when you put the two words ‘The’ and ‘IRS’ together, it spells ‘Theirs’?”

“Eventually, you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.”

“You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks.”

Whoops! I think I may have figured out why Mothershed sent me the list, after all.
