{israelnationalnews.com} ~ More than two dozen haredi protesters were arrested in Jerusalem Thursday afternoon, after hundreds of demonstrators blocked roads in the capital... to protest the recent arrest of a haredi draft dodger. Police reported that some 500 demonstrators had converged on the intersection of Jaffa Road and Shaarei Yisrael Street near the Central Bus Station, not far from an IDF draft office. Demonstrators gathered to protest the recent arrest of Meir Blau, a young haredi man who refused an order to appear at the IDF draft office. According to Israel Police, 28 demonstrators have been arrested. “Israel Police forces are working with determination against the rioters in order to keep the roads and light rail line open, and have thus far arrested 23 demonstrators,” said a police spokesperson, before the number of suspects arrested rose to 28. Some demonstrators clashed with police, cursing the officers as “Nazis”. “Better to die than enlist,” said some. “Go to jail, not the army,” said other protesters. Vote Against Green New Deal Amendment

{westernjournal.com} ~ Democrats on the House Committee on Financial Services voted unanimously against an amendment introduced by a GOP lawmaker... to spark debate about a key demand of the Green New Deal. Wisconsin Rep. Sean Duffy, the committee’s ranking Republican, introduced the amendment to the committee Democrats’ budget resolution, though he said in a hearing Wednesday he did not plan on voting for it. Duffy’s intention, instead, was to use the amendment to debate a key demand of the Green New Deal, which was introduced by New York Rep. commie-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in February. That bill, which is backed by some Democratic 2020 presidential candidates, included a call to retrofit every building to maximize energy efficiency. Duffy’s amendment would have changed the wording of one line of a financial services committee budget and views resolution to be in line with the Green New Deal’s call for “maximum energy efficiency” and “zero-emissions.” The amendment said the budget should furnish funds “to provide all people with affordable, safe, and adequate housing that has been newly built or retroactively upgraded to achieve maximum energy efficiency, water efficiency, safety, affordability, comfort, and durability, using only clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources.” That’s similar to the Green New Deal resolution’s call for “upgrading all existing buildings in the United States and building new buildings to achieve maximum energy efficiency, water efficiency, safety, affordability, comfort, and durability, including through electrification.”... DNC Blacklists Fox Dem Debate Coverage
Thomas Gallatin: “Democrats demand only Leftmedia propaganda distributors televise their presidential primary debates” — that would be the more accurate headline to the Democratic National Committee’s decision to blacklist Fox News from its slate of primary debates. Citing a recent story written by leftist activist “journalist” Jane Mayer of The New Yorker, DNC Chair Tom Perez announced his decision to preclude Fox News from even televising any of the Democrats’ presidential primary debates. The real problem with Fox is that it doesn’t join the 90% negative coverage President Donald Trump receives from the rest of the mainstream media.
In fact, Trump humorously rejoined, “Democrats just blocked @FoxNews from holding a debate. Good, then I think I’ll do the same thing with the Fake News Networks and the Radical Left Democrats in the General Election debates!”
It’s not surprising that the DNC aims to continue promulgating the long-running charade of a non-biased MSM, while seeking to convince Americans that its increasingly extreme leftist ideology is mainstream. In fact, the hypocrisy on display here is quite frankly amazing even for Democrats. Recall back in 2016 when it was discovered that scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton’s campaign organized with CNN’s Donna Brazille to feed questions for a town hall debate hosted by the network. Another example is the 2012 debate between Barack scumbag/liar-nObama and Mitt Romney in which CNN moderator Candy Crowley infamously injected herself to defend scumbag/liar-nObama with an erroneous “fact check” on Romney’s claim that scumbag/liar-nObama had initially denied the attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi was terrorism. No bias there? Please.
The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway observes, “One of the reasons Trump was successful and won the presidency was that he declined to play the game where he treated the media as if they weren’t biased and facing massive credibility problems.” She then asks, “Do other Republicans enjoy being treated like second-class citizens? Do they think they must accept it?”
The fact of the matter is the illusion of the MSM being non-biased reporters of truth is no longer believed by the vast majority of the American public. The real question is why so many Republicans still seem to believe they must continue to kowtow to the media when they know the MSM will never give them a fair shake. ~The Patriot Post
