I joined the 912 and the TEA movement because there were Consttutional PRINCIPLES being shared. My resolve is as strong now as it was then. N mellowing here.
We're on a FORUM, are we not? That means ANY member could offer there pov. and/or post facts for others to read and perhaps discuss. NO ONE is obligated to walk in lock step w/ my views. But, neither am I w/ anyone else's. Nor should we!
The Framers articulated that very point w/ the 1stA, did they not? Isn't that also a part of their intention when they established the separation of powers thru the three COEQUAL Branches of govt; so that it wouldn't become totalitarian?
We don't expect the body of the federal govt to walk in lock step w/ each other...they are NOT supposed to, remember?! Thus, are we supposed to do so at a TEA, 912 or Conservative site?

Losing it's credibility and its very trust. It is the reason that at least 23 countries are getting away from using the USD as the exchange currency it had been post WW2.
So you tell me. Do these things that are occurring "FROM" DC fall in line w/ TEA movement / Conservative principles?
Imo, neither Hillary nor Trump have these PRINCIPLES at heart. No one can have this set of principles AND favor any govt intrusion or expansion - beyond Constitutional REACH. That's PROGRESSIVISM to a tee! As such, these are the "spots" that DC will NEVER change. Period!
Our last resort...which should've ALWAYS been our FIRST resort...is an Art5/ CoS. And, Constitutionally speaking, we, THE STATES, do NOT need the federal govt at all to make this happen! BUT, as John Adams had pointed out, the Constitution was established solely FOR a moral people.
That's where I stand. It's where I have ALWAYS stood. Regardless of candidate or party affiliation.

For years now many have used the fear tactic to convince people w/ opposing views that the opposers must side w/ them - or we will certainly lose the country to socialism.
Then there are those that use the same argument, but replace the tern socialism (or communism) w/ facsism.
Either way the final concensus is that, be it to the left or right, the next stop is totalitarianism.

I've come to the conclusion that we are already "there". But, WHERE, exactly? Socialism or facsism? I say both. Our federal programs are very much about redistribution and restitution. Hence: Socialism. But the govt "machinery" does fall under the category of oligarchy and authuritarianism as well. The two oarties are aligned w/ lobbyists; and it's all centrally controlled literally by the money "makers", or to be exact, the money PRINTERS: the Federal Reserve. Hence, the federal "machine" does qualify to be categorized as Fascist. Thus, today we already are BOTH.
My question is: CAN a single person that is either already in office, or is running for office, change our destination towards the comple tyranny that is totalitarianism? Sadly and truthfully, NO! Are a majority of these "sovereign" States unified in taking measures to Constitutionally break this stranglehold the federal govt has on our necks? How could they when their very residents continue demanding MORE and MORE federal (TAXPAYER) fonds?!
When a people wants to have-it-all, they eventually end up w/ NOTHING. And that includes our Freedom and Liberty. The music has stopped, folks. But, there are no chairs this time around to sit on.
Unification for the sake of party is an act of futility. If the people are going to organize - focus on strengthening and protecting your own "backyards": The States. W/ out that there is NO WAY to fight...and BEAT...this federal govt.

The concensus here is an accurate one. The two main oarties have meshed into one.
Furthermore, there USED TO BE one real difference between the two. The "D" label would take us over the cliff FASTER than the "R" label. Well, lets see now...
Theforst forty three potus had accumulated over $9T to the Nat'l Debt. The forty forth potus (Barack Obama) has MORE THAN DOUBLED that number. BUT, it wasn't done singlehandedly. He did it w/ the full support of the GOP. "Progress"?
I no longer believe that the "D" label will push us over the cliff any faster than the Rs would. It's an illusion.

Again, HOW is it possible for The Street to have reached 17,000? The answer iS the actual problem: the FEDERAL RESERVE. And for those many that are still "poorly educated" (Trump's favorite) - the Fed is no more an extensipn (department / bureau) of the federal govrt than "Federal" Express is! Like FedEx, the Federal Reserve is very much a consortium / cartel of PRIVATE banks. And the Fed answers to, or is regulated by, NO ONE! Thus, it doesn't matter a damned WHICH party is the majority, or which PERSONALITY is in the WH! Whoever controls the $$$$$ controls the country; and MANIPULATES the economic trends. Thus, controlling the social behavior of this populist / progressive culture (aka: entitlmentaddicts).
Okay, I've just isolated the problem. BUT, it is NOT the SOURCE! Then what is?
It's the same what had established and/or empowered the Fed, the the IRS; and had opened the floodgates for the "legal" collection of "income" taxes across the board. Which in turn gave DC the revenye (TEETH) necessary to, at the very least, start its redistribution agenda.
That SOURCE is the Sixteenth (16th) Amendment. And the very first social program that rolled out was w/ FDR's ponzi scheme affectionately known as the New Deal / the SocSec Act. Which was followed by the Withholdings Tax Act (another income tax) of 1943. Which brought us to LBJ's Great Society / War On Poverty / Medicare (1964). Which brought on "affordable" Section 8 housing progrgams...and on...and on...and on to our Debt today.
Question: Why was the Reagan economy so short lived? The answer is: ALL OF THE ABOVE! And then some.
