How

18 January 2014

I joined Tea Party Command Center today.  In the process of applying for membership I had to state whether or not I agreed that Obama should be removed from office.  I suppose I could've given the knee-jerk conservative response with a "yes!" but it's not that simple for me.

To my way of thinking Obama's having been elected twice is not the problem but the symptom of greater ills that are eroding the foundations of this nation worse than any efforts of the current administration.

We will never know how much of a factor "voting irregularities" were responsible for putting a less than one term senator with a background in community organizing in the White House.  At least we have no way of knowing until the continuing potential for voter fraud goes uncorrected.  How many of you voted for men and women committed to this issue?  What have they accomplished and why are we still without voter identification on par with the restrictions placed on obtaining prescriptions, public utilities, insurance, employment, or treatment for a rash at a minor emergency clinic?

To a great extent Obama will go into history as the first "image above substance" president.  He is the product of Youtube and MTV.  He bypassed the responsible contributors to American society and economy in order to appeal to public school underachievers, aspiring single mothers, and everyone with some form of dependence on the expansion of federal bureaucracy and it's payoffs.  I recently had a young neighbor tell me how much he admired my summer vegetable garden.  Then, with complete sincerity, he asked if there were any federal tax cuts or subsidies for growing my own vegetables.  If so, he would get in line to get my advice.

That is how Obama's many supporters think.  They are victims of default and deferment to public education and  universities that are not responsible for teaching them personal responsibility and self motivation.  Too many from my generation have taken a back seat in the guidance of the upcoming leaders of this country.  Also too many from my generation are busier pointing fingers at a derelict education system rather than working to correct the problem by interacting with young people and providing them with role models beyond their interactions in social media where they learn image is more important than substance.
