I assume personal responsibility for helping ( in my minute way ) to creatively preserve public safety and homeland security. This comes deep from within my soul because by nature I am a very shy person loathe to call attention upon myself.
I'm called to do this.. as are many of you.
How can I do nothing when God blessed me to be the same kind of American as Harriet Tubman. I too try to lead captives to freedom, first within themselves by turning urban pain into patriotism and through peaceful petitioning of appropriate authorities for redress.
How can I not lawfully patrol the streets of my community when Teddy Roosevelt charged up San Juan Hill? Overshadowed by this example how can I not challenge the " San Juan Hill " of my day, inner city crime? Even better, this is done as a volunteer, much like future President Roosevelt did on in Cuba that fateful day.

I simply must try opening doors to fuller participation in society given what Jackie Robinson did, in and out of professional baseball!

America has given me too many standard bearers to accept being less than I am.
Let's resolve to be even better Americans as hard times continue grinding spirits to dust.
Let's resolve to be better Americans so our unity cows enemies near and far not to spill more innocent blood.
We have to be better Americans.
We have no other honorable choice!
