LITTLE KNOWN FACT: RON PAUL is trying to nab public money for 65 projects, such as marketing wild shrimp and renovating the old movie theater in Edna that closed in 1977 — neither of which is envisioned in the Constitution as an essential government function.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT: Ron Paul adds his little bit of pork barrel, that is to say he puts in for his goodies, then cleverly votes against the bills...they pass anyway because everybody else who has put in for their pork votes for the bill. You tell me, is this clever or SLICK? I'm tired of slick politicians aren't you?

    This is a normal part of government.  Really if you want to cut spending this is miniscule compared to the money being blown elsewhere.  RP is also not a isolationist.  He says our foreign policy is not perfect and needs to change and then everyone blows it out of proportion that he is an isolationist.  Ronald Reagan was successful at defeating the USSR for following the constitution and building one of the greatest national defenses this country has ever seen.  The presidents then after him began to use that power on the offensive.  SInce then war mongering is the new norm.  Many of the same threats that exist today have been there for centuries but only until recently have we begun to become the next collapsed Roman empire.  Even if you do not agree with him on everything I think most people can agree that we can not keep these policies up simply for the fact we can not afford them.  If we say we have problems today then you must look at the policies that got us here.  And many of these Ron Paul is against because it just means larger government interfering with our lives.

    I HAVE ALWAYS ADMIRED RON PAUL AND LIKE SOME MOF HIS IDEAS, HOWEVER I HAD A GUT FEELING ABOUT HIM BASED ON HIS VOCAL EXPRESSINS RE ISOLATIONISM.  THERE ARE TO MANY POWER HUNGRYT CHARACTERS AROUND THE WORLD WHO HAVE DELUSIONS OF CONQUERING THE WORLD ANMD THE u s ALWAYS STANDS IN THEIR WAY.  THIS NEWS ABOUT HIS PORKBARRELL REQUESTS IS SOMETHING I HAVE NOT HEARD BEFORE BUT IS REASONALLY VERIFIABLE BY CHECKING THE CONGRESSIOINAL RECORD.  CONGRESSNAN PAUL HAS BEEN AROUND THE POLITICAL SCENE LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE ABSORBED SOME OF THE LARCENY THAT IS RAMPANT AMONG LONG TERM CONGRESSMAN AND SENATORS.  IT SEEMS THAT IF YOU STAY IN CONGRESS LONG YOUR VALUES WILL BE POLUTED AND COMPRIMISED.

    WE NEED FRESH NEW FACES IN WASHINGTON WITH TERM LIMITS TO PRERVENT EVEN THE MOST HONEST5 AND DEDICATED PEOPLE FROM HAVING THEIR BASIC PRINCIPLES POLLUTED.
