Trump Fought The Swamp and The Swamp Won –
He’d Better GET MEAN or AMERICA’S DONE
{ rickwells.us } ~ What all of this disaster with the spending bill has shown in no uncertain terms... is that the Democrats have figured out how to use the Senate at a cudgel against the American people by voting as a bloc. There is no such thing as independent Democrat votes. They vote based upon the Party plan and as the Party leadership instructs. The CNN talking heads were, as usual, heaping scorn upon President Trump following the votes and him signing the surrender agreement thinly disguised as a spending bill. In this unique instance they were, in many ways, right. This was not the great negotiator we had all been led to believe now occupied the White House. President Trump was rolled by the combined efforts of the Democrats and the treasonous RINOs in service to their establishment masters. As unpleasant as the reality is, denying it doesn’t make it go away. The Donald Trump of the campaign is nowhere to be found. The “liar-Hillary’s suffered enough” has now been extended to all Democrats and RINOs. The winning we were promised we’d see has all been on the side of the enemies of America, and President Trump was right, we’re tired of it... https://rickwells.us/trump-swamp-won-mean/ .
Mueller’s Investigation Flouts Justice Department Standards
by ANDREW C. MCCARTHY
{ nationalreview.com } ~ These columns have many times observed Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s failure to set limits on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation... To trigger the appointment of a special counsel, federal regulations require the Justice Department to identify the crimes that warrant investigation and prosecution — crimes that the Justice Department is too conflicted to investigate in the normal course; crimes that become the parameters of the special counsel’s jurisdiction. Rosenstein, instead, put the cart before the horse: Mueller was invited to conduct a fishing expedition, a boundless quest to hunt for undiscovered crimes, rather than an investigation and prosecution of known crimes. That deviation, it turns out, is not the half of it. With Rosenstein’s passive approval, Mueller is shredding Justice Department charging policy by alleging earth-shattering crimes, then cutting a sweetheart deal that shields the defendant from liability for those crimes and from the penalties prescribed by Congress. The special counsel, moreover, has become a legislature unto himself, promulgating the new, grandiose crime of “conspiracy against the United States” by distorting the concept of “fraud.”... https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/03/muellers-investigation-flouts-justice-department-standards/?utm_source=deployer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newslink&utm_term=members&utm_content=20180324155752 .
U.N. council adopts 5 more anti-Israel resolutions

{ wnd.com } ~ The United Nations, through its much-criticized Human Rights Council, has moved further out on the anti-Israel limb... adopting five more anti-Israel resolutions to finish up its current meeting in Geneva. The resolutions drew a response from U.S. U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley that may not bode well for the international organization. She pointed out, according to the Jerusalem Post, that the same national representatives passed only one resolution against North Korea, one against Iran and one against Syria, arguably among the world’s worst human rights violators. “When the Human Rights Council treats Israel worse than North Korea, Iran, and Syria, it is the council itself that is foolish and unworthy of its name,” Haley said in the statement. “It is time for the countries who know better to demand changes. Many countries agree that the council’s agenda is grossly biased against Israel, but too few are willing to fight it.”... http://www.wnd.com/2018/03/u-n-council-adopts-5-more-anti-israel-statements/ .
scum-Keith Ellison Unplugged: Why Not Have a 'Maximum Wage?'
by JERYL BIER
{ weeklystandard.com } ~ Early in March, the Congressional Progressive Caucus met in Baltimore for its Strategy Summit 2018... Participants came from a wide range of liberal, progressive, and left-leaning groups and included individuals such as House Minority Leader Nancy Pulosi, Women's March co-founder Linda Sarsour, Senator Barbara Lee, and the DNC's Deputy Chair Rep. scum-Keith Ellison. During the conference, freelance journalist Sarah Jaffe, writing for the website the Progressive, interviewed scum-Ellison, who recently assumed responsibility for the Medicare for All legislation that was formerly under the guidance of the now-departed John Conyers. In the course of a rather friendly interview, Jaffe questioned scum-Ellison about the Medicare legislation, racism, and income inequality. Some of scum-Ellison’s responses were jaw-dropping. With "economic justice" being one of the issues addressed at the summit, Jaffe mentioned to scum-Ellison that the congressman had "made a joke about a maximum wage." scum-Ellison quickly interrupted Jaffe, saying. "No, I did not make a joke about maximum wage, I made a statement about maximum wage...He would want to tax you more..

Leftmedia Churn and the Cost of Trump's Affairs
by Nate Jackson: President Donald Trump is a man of low moral character. We know, “this just in.” Having led a very public life, nearly every American knows that Trump cheated on his first wife with his second and that he has generally been a philandering playboy. So in that sense it gets little more than a shrug when we hear that he had other affairs while married a third time. That was true of Stormy Daniels, and it’s true of Karen McDougal, who told CNN Thursday of her consensual 10-month affair with Trump from 2006 to 2007, before he was president. If you want those details, CNN will be running them hourly for weeks. Or stay tuned this weekend for the CBS “60 Minutes” exposé on Daniels. We’re interested in bigger fish. The Leftmedia’s 24/7 churn with these women and their stories is, first and foremost, a #MeToo-era effort to undermine Trump’s successful policy agenda and to anger female voters ahead of the 2018 and 2020 elections. It might work. And we all know how vigorously leftist feminists worked to oust liar-Bill Clinton for his despicable treatment of women. Oh, that’s right, they stood by their man.
On that note, let’s get one thing straight. There’s a huge difference between consensual affairs between peers and an affair with a young subordinate or flat-out rape. None of it is acceptable in any sense, but liar- Clinton’s behavior was clearly far worse.
But Trump is president now, not liar-Clinton. It’s 2018, not 1998. So conservatives and Christians must deal honestly and forthrightly with the fact that a dishonest and immoral man is our party’s standard-bearer.
In 2016, a record 14 million people voted for Trump in the GOP primaries, apparently deciding that character didn’t matter nearly as much as whatever their issue(s) happened to be. More than 16 million people — also a record — voted against Trump in those same primaries. Their votes, however, were divided among 16 other candidates, thus leaving Trump victorious. In the 2016 general election, just shy of 63 million Americans accounting for a winning 304 electoral votes chose Trump because they concluded he was preferable to the only alternative, liar-Hillary Clinton. Trump won despite his own gross character flaws — because of support for his agenda and opposition to liar-Clinton’s. For millions of conservatives, his impact on the judiciary alone was worth the vote, and his defense of religious liberty was desperately needed.
Still, what many of Trump’s voters failed to realize, and what some Trump defenders are still refusing to acknowledge, is that a man’s private morality does affect his ability to govern. At a bare minimum, the bad press is a distraction; at worst, it reveals a deep untrustworthiness that plays out in policy and personnel decisions. Moreover, all the hush money and other legal wrangling over flings with porn stars could seriously jeopardize the president.
With Trump, chaos is part of his agenda, so perhaps this all serves his purposes somehow. But what does that say of our great nation, or the office whose precedent was set by a man of great character, George Washington? Unless he loses in 2020, the problem with Trump’s character flaws and boorish style may not ultimately exact a toll on him. The price will, however, certainly be paid by the GOP and the nation in the years to come. ~The Patriot Post
