Trump calls for action from Supreme Court over
Justice Department’s FISA warrant ‘fraud’
{ conservativeinstitute.org } ~ A legal reckoning maybe coming to the highest offices of the FBI and Justice Department... President Donald Trump pressured the Supreme Court on Wednesday to pursue charges against the officials responsible for using a salacious and unverified dossier to spy on his presidential campaign in 2016. Quoting Fox News anchor Gregg Jarrett in a Wednesday evening tweet, Trump accused the government of engineering “a fraud on the court” when federal investigators completely ignored the lies contained in a dossier to undermine his presidency. The president alleged that the FBI used the dossier to obtain eavesdropping warrants even though former DOJ Attorney General Bruce Ohr warned agents that the charges contained in the document were false. Republicans have long maintained that the so-called Steele dossier formed the basis for multiple Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) applications for a warrant to electronically monitor a short-term Trump campaign aide throughout 2016. The document was collected by former British spy Christopher Steele on behalf of the opposition research firm Fusion GPS, and it relied upon third and fourth-hand accounts from controversial sources tied to the Kremlin. President Trump would like the Supreme Court’s chief justice, who is responsible for overseeing the FISC, to direct Rosemary Collyer the FISC’s presiding judge to subpoena the agents and prosecutors responsible for using unverified evidence paid for by the liar-Hillary Clinton campaign to spy on her opponent in the 2016 election...

Facebook Admits to Blocking Conservative
for Using Words ‘Illegal Alien’

{ eaglerising.com } ~ Facebook admitted this week that it blocked a conservative for daring to use the words “illegal alien” on its service... So, now these tech giants are banning us just for using terms they don’t like. The social media giant’s admission came after William Gheen, head of Americans for Legal Immigration Political Action Committee, said that his post had been removed and he was slapped with a 24-hour ban for daring to include the words “illegal alien” in his post. Gheen said he couldn’t understand what the problem was and he complained to the social media giant. But ultimately, Facebook admitted that it was wrong to block the  conservative and to ban him from its service. So, that’s how it is, huh? Now conservatives can’t even use common phrases if liberals don’t like them. This is what it is coming to America. Liberals are using their positions as tech leaders to destroy you. Are we going to sit back and let this happen?...

Racial Discrimination at Harvard and America’s ‘Elite’ Universities

{ dailysignal.com } ~ The Justice Department made news on Thursday when it filed a “statement of interest” in a long-running lawsuit against Harvard University... that supported claims of Asian-American students that the university is discriminating in its admission process. In fact, the evidence uncovered during the discovery process of the pending lawsuit seems overwhelming that Harvard is violating the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and has imposed a racial quota system, including a ceiling on the number of Asian-American students accepted, no matter how outstanding their qualifications. The Justice Department’s filing is in opposition to a motion recently filed by Harvard asking a federal court in Boston to throw out the lawsuit without a trial. In 2014, Students for Fair Admission filed its lawsuit under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which prohibits discrimination in education on the basis of “race, color, or national origin.” Although Harvard is a private university, Title VI applies because the university receives federal funds. The lawsuit claims Harvard is using its admissions policy to keep out Asian-American students in the same way it infamously discriminated against Jewish students in the 1920s and 1930s...

Socialists of America

{ capitalresearch.org } ~ The dummycrats-Democratic Socialists of America, an activist group, has no intention of becoming a full-fledged political party. There is no need... The socialist candidates it backs are winning elections, and it is already well-represented among sitting members of the U.S. Congress. One of its endorsed candidates recently defeated the fourth-highest-ranking member of the dummycrats- Democratic Party’s leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives, a development that led the media to shower the dummycrats-DSA with flattering publicity. A radical leftist upstart’s unexpected trouncing of a key member of the House  dummycrats-Democratic leadership in a primary is sending shockwaves through the  dummycrats-Democratic Party establishment. I refer to dummycrats-Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) member and first-time candidate commie-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, at the time a 28-year-old of Puerto Rican ancestry, who crushed longtime U.S. Rep. Joe Crowley, a 56-year-old Irish-American Catholic, in the June 26 primary election for the 14th congressional district in New York, covering parts of the boroughs of Queens and the Bronx. Crowley chairs the House dummycrats-Democratic  Caucus, the fourth-highest leadership position among House dummycrats-Democrats, and he was a leading contender to become House Speaker, if dummycrats- Democrats regained control of that chamber. commie-Ocasio-Cortez’s victory made her an instant star in leftist circles.  dummycrats-Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman Tom Perez promptly hailed her as “the future of our party.”...

{ cnn.com} ~ Prosecutors Ryan Dickey and Brian Richardson are no longer working for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office... leaving 15 attorneys left on the team, according to a report by CNN. Special counsel spokesman Peter Carr said that their departures were unrelated to any allegations of wrongdoing or political bias. CNN reported, “Both lawyers were relatively junior but frequently spotted members of Mueller’s corps. Both have worked on court cases that Mueller opened as part of his investigation into Russian interference and coordination with the Trump campaign in the 2016 presidential election.” Dickey specializes in cybercrime and worked on two Russia-related computer crime cases after joining Mueller’s team in November of 2017. Richardson had previously clerked for Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer and worked with Mueller to prosecute Alex van der Zwann, who plead guilty in February to lying to investigators...

August Confirmations Overcome dummycrats-Dem Obstruction

by Jordan Candler:  In June, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell scrubbed August recess, explaining, “Due to the historic obstruction by Senate dummycrats-Democrats of the president’s nominees, and the goal of passing appropriations bills prior to the end of the fiscal year, the August recess has been canceled.”

The move ensured that dummycrats-Democrat  obstruction would face reprisal and that important issues like confirming judicial nominees would be addressed. At the time, Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) made this critical observation: “We still have 271 nominations to confirm.” Which made August the perfect time to push them through.
That work is ongoing, but it’s already paid dividends. In fact, on Tuesday alone, the Senate sent seven district court nominees to their respective benches, with eight more nominees slated for confirmation in the coming week. That being said, the backlog remains large.
As The Daily Signal recently reported, “Of the 179 current and known future federal court vacancies, 160 are on district and specialty courts, according to the Judicial Crisis Network, which monitors judicial appointments. … Trump has 80 pending district and specialty court nominees awaiting Senate Judiciary Committee hearings, and 26 more awaiting a Senate floor vote.” The Signal adds, “It would require votes on at least 10 judges per week for the rest of the year to confirm all of Trump’s nominees for the district and circuit courts, [The Heritage Foundation’s Thomas] Jipping said.
That’s a massive workload left, but just image how much bigger it would be if McConnell hadn’t canceled August recess. Yet there remains another opportunity to ease the backlog. The Signal notes “it’s possible the Senate would take action in a lame-duck session after the November midterm elections.” McConnell should take advantage of this timetable as well, since — this month’s achievements aside — dummycrats-Democrats will continue obstructing to the extent they can.
