When the National Socialists were trying to take over Germany, They used propaganda and intimidation. Their propaganda was composed of films and stories using pretty pictures, noble sentiments pleasant music and song. There were promises of happiness. It was so effective people ignored the brutal beatings, the vandalism and the written philosophy of Naziism. Party membership grew rapidly, until Hitler grew tired of the cute images and ordered chief propagandist Goebels to make a movie depicting Hitler’s true vision. (This is like Obama going off teleprompter.) Hitler made Goebels show a film with hundreds of rats on screen; the rats were compared to Jews. This was a big setback; people left the theaters in droves. It displayed Hitler’s warped view of the world and was the true vision of the hate behind National Socialism. People didn’t like it. They wanted the promises of jobs, prestige and free health care. Hitler was chastened and Goebels went back to the propaganda that fooled people.
Socialism and deception go hand in hand. Obama’s campaign ads prove it. He has taken to calling Romney a felon because of an answer Romney gave on some bureaucrat’s form, regarding what day Romney left Bain Capital. There were no criminal charges and certainly no convictions of any crime. Putting the wrong date on a bureaucrat’s form is not even a serious misdemeanor. In view of the lies told by Congress and the President, it’s not worth noticing. More revealing than the campaign lies are the off teleprompter remarks Obama has made about successful businesses and people. Like Hitler’s movie depicting Jews as rats, it gives Obama’s true vision. Obama’s view is that people did not create their own lives. Society gave them success if they have it. More revealing are his remarks that the private sector is doing just fine; he knows that Americans have lost 40% of their wealth on his watch. His response to this is government needs more money and higher taxes. He said this knowing that a federal bureaucrat now makes twice the amount of money and benefits that an equivalent job in the private sector makes. This is the real vision of Obama’s socialism. Obama wants a large, rich and powerful bureaucracy, living on the backs of impoverished workers.
These ideas are amplified when you look at the Farm Bill. Obama’s intentions become clear. There is a huge allocation for food stamps in farm bill. So it follows that Obama has no plans to create jobs in the private sector. He plans on a more serious long term depression and is anticipating a higher demand for food stamps. The allocations for farmers make it clear he will continue his cronyism and dole out money to chosen friends and targeted big businesses like agribusiness. He plans on bringing in more food stamp recipients from the third world, particularly Mexico. Congress knows the plan and is cooperating with him.
It’s not clear whether Americans will be fooled by his empty promises, or will they see his vision for the nightmare it is.
