To whom it may concern:

After hearing about the Lois Lerner hearings and the statement by Rep. Paul Ryan, I wanted to make contact with your group to express my concern.

After the hearing was closed Rep. Cummings went on a tirade which was out of order, and in my opinion a false display of anger to turn the attention away from Ms. Lerner.
This was done to turn media attention away from the real issue and to place the charge of Racism into peoples minds. Mr. Cummings and the Congressional Black Caucus should be ashamed of such blatant activity. It serves no purpose and makes mockery out of the leaders in the CBC.
The real issue is a woman who refuses to tell the truth.

The CBC has some serious issues when it comes to credibility. You need to think before you speak, and when you do finally open your mouths please make sure that you investigate the truth of the issues, and get your facts straight.

Mr. Ryan also spoke the truth when he addressed the problem of Black men taking their rightful place in the family and community.
As an organization that represents Black families you should be standing with anyone that stands up and speaks up against laziness and cheating our government programs.

Blacks are in the current situation because of the people who claim to lead them, and because of those who have placed programs for them to use that hurt more than help them.

It is time for us to teach individual responsibility, and accountability to the Black community. The excuse that someone is holding us down has long ago become a lame one.

I urge you to work to provide real solutions. We need to encourage our people to succeed.

Please quit bickering and pointing fingers and wake up. We have a golden opportunity to work together as one America so that we can continue to prosper together.

Blacks need the message of hope and encouragement, not doom and gloom. Also, the old line that everyone that is trying to help them prosper in a way that made this nation great are Racist's is just plain false.

Sincerely;

Emery McClendon
