Europe Will Now Decide if the Iran Deal Survives
by Mark Dubowitz
{ defenddemocracy.org } ~ If you heard a series of loud booms on March 22, they probably came from the exploding heads of many in the American and European political elite... following the appointment of John Bolton as White House national security adviser. With the ascension of this “hawk,” President liar-nObama’s nuclear accord with the Islamic Republic of Iran appears to be on life support. Whether the deal survives is effectively Europe’s choice, but Mr. Trump must be prepared to accept a real fix if it’s offered. On Jan. 12, Mr. Trump laid out three conditions for the Europeans to meet for the U.S. to remain in the nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. First, eliminate the provisions under which key nuclear restrictions expire over time. Second, constrain Tehran’s nuclear-capable long-range missile program. Finally, allow for the inspection of military sites where the regime conducted clandestine nuclear activities in the past and may be doing so now. If the Europeans do not agree to these demands by May 12, Mr. Trump will impose powerful economic sanctions against the Islamic Republic. The U.S., France, the U.K. and Germany negotiated the 2015 deal, along with Iran, China and Russia. Beijing and Moscow aren’t likely to agree to a fix. But the Europeans are another story: They are massively invested in the U.S. and remain critical business partners for the Iranians. Europe is exposed to American secondary sanctions against Iran, and it has economic leverage over Tehran. Europeans also fear U.S. or Israeli military action against the Islamic Republic... http://www.defenddemocracy.org/media-hit/dubowitz-mark-europe-will-now-decide-if-the-iran-deal-survives/.
Sen. dinky-Elizabeth Undermines President Trump
with her ‘Apology Tour’ Across the World
{ patrioticviralnews.com } ~ Normally when a Democrat in Congress or a Republican “Never Trumper” mouths off about foreign policy... the American people pop some popcorn and sit back to see how President Trump will eviscerate them on Twitter. We’re easy to please with our candidate in the White House, thank you very much. But when a Democrat Senator hoping to run for president in 2020 criticizes and undermines our nation’s foreign policy on foreign soil, it becomes a whole new ballgame. Sen. Elizabeth “Fauxcahontas” dinky-Warren may have really stepped in it with her recent visit to China. In fact, Attorney General Jeff Sessions should have the Justice Department open an investigation for the possibility that Fauxcahontas violated the Logan Act, which has been settled law since 1799. The Logan Act bans unauthorized persons — including US Senators — from butting into negotiations that the US government is having with foreign powers. Whether Sen. dinky-Warren likes President Trump’s foreign policy or not, he is the current Commander in Chief and his foreign policy is, for all intents and purposes, the policy of the US government. The Logan Act effectively works as an anti-treason law — and dinky-Warren may be guilty of violating it... http://patrioticviralnews.com/articles/sen-elizabeth-undermines-president-trump-with-her-apology-tour-across-the-world/.
Poisoned former Russian spy Sergei Skripal
no longer in critical condition, hospital says
by Kathleen Joyce
{ foxnews.com } ~ Sergei Skripal, the former Russian spy who was poisoned in the UK last month... is no longer in critical condition and is responding to treatment, Salisbury District Hospital said Friday. Hospital officials said Skripal is "responding well to treatment" and is "improving rapidly," Sky News reported. The BBC reported Skripal was conscious and speaking. Skripal, 66, along with his daughter, Yulia Skripal, 33, were poisoned with novichok, a Soviet-engineered nerve agent, in the southwestern city of Salisbury on March 4. The two were found unconscious on a public bench before being transported and treated at Salisbury District Hospital....
Chappaquiddick the Movie: Crime, Corruption, Collusion, Coverup
by Steve Byas
{ thenewamerican.com } ~ If you are hoping to see a credible cinematic portrayal of a corrupt U.S. senator, intoxicated with power, privilege, and prestige... who leaves a girl to die and then swings into damage-control mode to rescue his own political career, this movie will not disappoint. No normal-length movie could possibly cover the complexities of the event in the summer of 1969, known simply as “Chappaquiddick,” after the island off the coast of Massachusetts, where Senator Edward Kennedy’s presidential ambitions vanished after he left a young woman, Mary Jo Kopechne, to die in his submerged Oldsmobile in a tidal pond. Yet, this film, through the expert cinematic efforts of director John Curran and screenwriters Taylor Allen and Andrew Logan, comes as close as one can expect from a movie attempting to explain an event that is still shrouded in some mystery. What is known ultimately kept Ted Kennedy from having a reasonable chance of being elected president, and the film covers the known quite well. It opens with Kennedy, played in a sterling performance by Jason Clarke, walking back to the cottage where he and five other men all but one married, without their wives were having a party — referred to as a “cookout” — with six single young women. But on his return to the party, he has left behind Mary Jo Kopechne, the woman who departed with him...Ex-CIA Head Quizzed On Trump-Russia
Ties- Full House Intelligence Hearing
by Michael McIntee
{ youtube.com } ~ Former CIA Director John Brennan has said an investigation into possible collusion between Trump campaign officials and the Kremlin is "well-founded"... He told the House Intelligence Committee he was aware of intelligence showing contact between Russian officials and "US persons involved in the Trump campaign". Mr Brennan said the Russians "brazenly interfered" in last November's US elections and were "very aggressive". But he said he did not know if the Trump campaign colluded with Moscow. Mr Brennan, who stepped down as CIA director in January, testified on Tuesday: "I encountered and am aware of information and intelligence that revealed contacts and interactions between Russian officials and US persons involved in the Trump campaign that I was concerned about because of known Russian efforts to suborn such individuals. "It raised questions in my mind whether or not Russia was able to gain the co-operation of those individuals." VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdJ3OZS928Q .

At Last — A Military Religious Liberty Win
by Jordan Candler: A win for religious liberty in the military is not something we hear much of these days, but alas, miracles occasionally do happen. Leland Bohannon is a colonel in the Air Force who was unfairly denied the rank of one-star general last year. A longtime friend of his explains in a blog post the events that led to “Bo’s” being denied a promotion: Last May, Bo declined to sign a spouse appreciation certificate for a retiring master sergeant’s same-sex spouse, claiming he could not in all good conscience do it. As a committed Christian, he does not believe in same-sex marriage. Instead, he asked a superior officer to sign the certificate and that superior officer did. Case closed. Except it wasn’t. The retiring master sergeant took offense at Bo’s actions and filed an Equal Opportunity discrimination complaint. Even though Bo had sought every opportunity and used every proper channel to create a solution for all parties, it wasn’t good enough and when the Equal Opportunity investigators ruled against Bo, he was relieved of command and his promotion halted. Most Muslims are also against same-sex marriage, but it’s not exactly a mystery how investigators would have behaved differently had Bohannon opposed the certificate as a Muslim instead of as a Christian. To his great credit, Bohannon refused to acquiesce and recruited First Liberty Institute as his legal counsel. Some Republican members of Congress chimed in also, urging Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson to rectify the situation. And rectify it she did, freeing him from the shackles of anti-Christian hostility and resuming his career.
According to Secretary Wilson, “Colonel Bohannon had the right to exercise his sincerely held religious beliefs and did not unlawfully discriminate when he declined to sign the certificate of appreciation for the same-sex spouse of an airman in his command.” Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council (FRC), says “the news of his reinstatement was almost as shocking as his temporary dismissal.” How so? In the words of Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, executive vice president of FRC: “When you overrule an inspector general or independent investigator, that’s a big deal. That takes a lot of time and a lot of nerve. It’s very rare.”
Secretary Wilson has it exactly right: “The Air Force has a duty to treat people fairly and without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, or sexual orientation and [Bohannon] met that duty by having a more senior officer sign the certificate.” In fact, every government installation has that duty. Col. Leland Bohannon tried not to create a scene by having a superior officer sign the certificate. But the master sergeant couldn’t tolerate an opposing viewpoint and wanted revenge. The Air Force initially obliged, and it shouldn’t have. The whole military should follow Secretary Wilson’s lead.
