GOP senator predicts Senate will
acquit Trump before State of the Union
by Spencer Neale
{ washingtonexaminer.com } ~ Sen. Roy Blunt is predicting that President Trump will be found not guilty by the Senate before he gives the State of the Union address on Feb. 4... Speaking with Wake Up Columbia on Missouri radio station KSSZ, the Missouri Republican said House Democrats have had plenty of time to make their case for impeachment and that Trump will have "a chance for his lawyers to explain why he shouldn't be impeached, and then we'll have that vote and move on." The State of the Union is scheduled for a day after the Iowa caucuses this year, which would mean a quick trial of fewer than four weeks in the Senate. Republicans control the majority in the Senate, and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has made it clear that he anticipates a swift vote, stating that both sides have "heard enough." “Have we learned enough after listening to all of this to go on and vote on the two very weak articles of impeachment?” McConnell said after the two articles passed. “Or do we have a show trial in which both sides try to embarrass the other and put on an embarrassing scene, frankly, for the American people?" Blunt added that House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi had not fulfilled her promise when the investigation began of a bipartisan impeachment. "liar-Nancy Pelosi said at the very start of the year that if impeachment wasn't bipartisan, it wouldn't work," said Blunt. "And it clearly was not bipartisan in the House, not a single Republican voted for the articles of impeachment, and a couple of Democrats didn't, either." Blunt stated he believes a Senate trial would be "pretty predictable" and would happen "quickly.".
Marine Corps Crisis Response
Force Will Remain In Baghdad
By Ben Werner
{ news.usni.org } ~ After sending Marines from Kuwait to beef up security at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said a battalion of Army paratroopers will now serve as the regional quick-response force, a role previously filled by the Marines... The additional Marines were sent to Baghdad on Tuesday after a mob, including members of the Iranian-backed Kataib Hezbollah militia, stormed the front gate of the U.S. Embassy compound. The militia members were protesting recent U.S. military airstrikes on five Hezbollah sites in Iraq and Syria. The U.S. airstrikes were in response to earlier Kataib Hezbollah militia attacks on Iraqi bases hosting Operation Inherent Resolve coalition forces, including U.S. military personnel, Esper said during a Thursday morning media briefing with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark Milley. Attacks on U.S. and coalition bases have been increasing in frequency and lethality since October, Esper said, blaming the increase on Iran, who provides equipment and backing to Kataib Hezbollah.“This is just the latest example of Iranian bad behavior in the region – in Iraq specifically – attacking U.S. coalition and partner forces, involving themselves in the sovereign government of Iraq, and doing other things that upsets the balance and creates turmoil in the entire region,” Esper said. The Marines now in Baghdad are assigned to the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF)-Crisis Response-Central Command. Among their skill sets is to provide additional security to U.S. embassies in the CENTCOM region quickly. The Marine Corps revamped its U.S. embassy crisis response program after the murder of U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three Americans in his security detail during an attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012. However, with the MAGTF now in Baghdad, Esper and Milley said they needed to send additional forces to act as a regional reserve force. They want CENTCOM Commander Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth McKenzie to have sufficient forces to respond quickly to any emergency in the region, which is why about 750 members of the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division left for Kuwait on New Year’s Day... https://news.usni.org/2020/01/02/marine-corps-crisis-response-force-will-remain-in-baghdad?utm_source=USNI+News&utm_campaign=4f3d4c3b5d-USNI_NEWS_DAILY&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0dd4a1450b-4f3d4c3b5d-231491269&mc_cid=4f3d4c3b5d&mc_eid=3999f18767.
‘Iranian proxy’ militia leader spotted at US
Embassy attack was guest at
scumbag/liar-nObama WH, now
reportedly in US custody
by Vivek Saxena
{ bizpacreview.com } ~ Nearly nine years after then-President Barack Hussein scumbag/liar-nObama and then-Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden met with an Iraqi political figure in 2011... that same shadowy figure went on to reportedly help assist in the attack this New Year’s Eve on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. The figure is Hadi al-Amiri, who in 2011 served as then-Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s minister of transportation, and who currently serves as both a member of the Iraqi Parliament and as the president of Iraq’s largest pro-Iranian militia, Badr Corps. Below is photo evidence of Amiri outside the embassy early Tuesday morning EST. “The Washington Post reported Amiri’s presence at the protests outside the embassy, saying he was ‘in attendance,” Fox News notes. “The Associated Press also reported that Amiri was among the ‘commanders of militia factions loyal to Iran’ who ‘joined the protesters outside the embassy in a strikingly bold move.'” As previously reported by BizPac Review, that morning hundreds of affiliates of an Iranian-backed Iraqi Shiite militia known as Kata’ib Hezbollah stormed the embassy, nearly triggering another Benghazi butultimately failing to do so. Now flashback to Dec. 12, 2011, when Amiri reportedly accompanied then-PM Maliki for a high-profile visit to the scumbag/liar-nObama White House, despite complaints from critics. “Amiri’s inclusion in the trip to Washington raised eyebrows at the time due to his involvement and ties to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which backed the Badr Corps at the time and had been linked to several attacks on Western targets,” Fox notes... https://www.bizpacreview.com/2020/01/03/iranian-proxy-militia-leader-spotted-at-us-embassy-attack-was-guest-at-obama-wh-now-reportedly-in-us-custody-871399?utm_campaign=bizpac&utm_content=Newsletter&utm_medium=Newsletter&utm_source=Get+Response&utm_term=EMAIL .
2020 Resistance – Dem Operatives
Open New Leak Clearing House
by sundance
{ theconservativetreehouse.com } ~ 2020 is the year when a variety of prior democrat operations will converge with a single goal in mind. Predictably we will see several years of prior effort beginning to merge, and it begins today... NOTE: For interested readers it will be impossible for me to summarize the background for each step prior to putting the next puzzle piece into place. Therefore I strongly suggest bookmarking posts for later reference because it would take tens of thousands of words to understand for anyone who steps into the light mid-way through. Tomorrow, January 3rd, 2020, the House Judiciary Committeee (HJC) will be presenting oral arguments in the DC court of appeals for their effort to obtain the Mueller grand jury information [6(e) material], and also compel testimony of former White House counsel Don McGahn. The House has a group of dozens of various DOJ and former scumbag/liar-nObama officials working on their behalf. That House network also has several currently employed DOJ, FBI, State Department and Intelligence Community officials feeding them information on current real-time events. The HJC are currently arguing the Mueller material and the McGahn testimony are needed for the impeachment trial of President Trump. If the HJC team wins the argument to the three member DC Appellate Court, the DOJ will likely file for a full ‘en blanc’ review by the entire panel. If the HJC wins the ‘en blanc’ argument the DOJ will likely appeal for an administrative stay by the Supreme Court....
Palestinian 'Moderates' Celebrate Terror
by Bassam Tawil
{ gatestoneinstitute.org } ~ The Palestinian ruling Fatah faction, headed by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, is celebrating the 55th anniversary of its first terrorist attack against Israel... by reminding everyone that it remains committed to the "armed struggle as the only way to liberate Palestine." Thousands of Fatah supporters took to the streets in the Gaza Strip on December 29, 2019 to celebrate the anniversary. The celebration was organized by the armed wing of Fatah, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – Nidal Al-Amoudi Battalion, a rogue Fatah splinter group. Hundreds of masked Fatah gunmen dressed in military uniforms marched through the streets of Gaza City. Some carried rocket-propelled grenades and other weapons. The military parade could not have taken place without the consent of Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist movement that has been ruling the Gaza Strip since 2007, when its members overthrew the regime of the Fatah-dominated Palestinian Authority (PA). Since then, Hamas and Fatah have been at each other's throats – a fight that has resulted in the emergence of two separate Palestinian entities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Hamas, it appears, perceives Fatah as a major threat to its rule over the Gaza Strip, which is presumably why it arrests and harasses Fatah members there on a regular basis. Similarly, the PA security forces and Fatah seem to consider Hamas a real threat to their rule over parts of the West Bank; they, too, have long been cracking down on Hamas members and supporters there. Why did Hamas allow Fatah's Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades to hold a military parade in the Gaza Strip? The Fatah group operating in the Gaza Strip shares the ideology of Hamas, which defines itself as the "Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood." Both Hamas and the PA seek to replace Israel with an Islamic state through violent jihad holy war. The Hamas covenant, published in 1988, defines jihad as its highest priority for the liberation of Palestine and the establishment of an Islamic Palestine "from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River."....
Iranian Commander Says Country
Ready for War With U.S.
by Adam Kredo
{ freebeacon.com } ~ A top Iranian military commander said on Thursday that the Islamic Republic is ready for a war with the United States... amid growing tensions following Iranian-backed attacks on American outposts in Iraq. Major General Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, warned in remarks that Iran is prepared to defeat the United States in an armed conflict. The prospect of a full-scale war between the two countries has been brewing for weeks as Iranian-backed militias in Iraq attacked American outposts and personnel. The Trump administration recently launched a retaliatory attack on sites controlled by Iranian forces. "We are powerful and ready for defeating the U.S. several other times and we are not worried about the U.S. threats and it is them who should be worried," Salami said in yet another escalation of words. "The Iranian nation has not started war in the past incidents but it annihilates any aggressor and the U.S. is aware of this." Iraqi protesters backed by the Iranian government have taken to the streets in recent days, sparking clashes around the U.S. embassy compound in Baghdad. The violence followed an attack on a U.S. outpost that killed one American contractor, which led to the United States bombing facilities the Trump administration said were under control of Kataib Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed militia force. Since Monday, protesters have swarmed the U.S. embassy, firing guns and attempting to set the facility on fire... https://freebeacon.com/national-security/iranian-commander-says-country-ready-for-war-with-u-s/?utm_source=Freedom+Mail&utm_campaign=9e317732b9-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_01_02_08_01_COPY_02&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-9e317732b9-45611665 .

Soleimani Dead – Sketchy Details Emerging – Airstrikes at Baghdad Airport, Cargo Area
by sundance
{ theconservativetreehouse.com } ~ Details are starting to emerge about the killing of Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force. As with all early reports a modicum of skepticism toward the details should be applied. However, here’s the expanded reporting from the Associated Press.
The Pentagon said Thursday that the U.S. military has killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, at the direction of President Donald Trump.
An airstrike killed Soleimani, architect of Iran’s regional security apparatus, at Baghdad’s international airport Friday, Iranian state television and three Iraqi officials said, an attack that’s expected to draw severe Iranian retaliation against Israel and American interests.
The Defense Department said Soleimani “was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region.” It also accused Soleimani of approving the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad earlier this week.
A statement released late Thursday by the Pentagon said the strike on Soleimani “was aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans.”
The strike also killed Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy commander of Iran-backed militias in Iraq known as the Popular Mobilization Forces, or PMF, Iraqi officials said. The PMF media arm said the two were killed in an American airstrike that targeted their vehicle on the road to the airport.
Citing a Revolutionary Guard statement, Iranian state television said Soleimani was “martyred” in an attack by U.S. helicopters near the airport, without elaborating.
[…] A senior Iraqi politician and a high-level security official confirmed to The Associated Press that Soleimani and al-Muhandis were among those killed in the attack shortly after midnight.
Two militia leaders loyal to Iran also confirmed the deaths, including an official with the Kataeb Hezbollah faction, which was involved in the New Year’s Eve attack by Iran-backed militias on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.

Two militia leaders loyal to Iran also confirmed the deaths, including an official with the Kataeb Hezbollah faction, which was involved in the New Year’s Eve attack by Iran-backed militias on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
[…] The security official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said al-Muhandis had arrived to the airport in a convoy along with others to receive Soleimani, whose plane had arrived from either Lebanon or Syria. The airstrike took place near the cargo area after he left the plane to be greeted by al-Muhandis and others.
Two officials from the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces said Suleimani’s body was torn to pieces in the attack while they did not find the body of al-Muhandis. A senior politician said Soleimani’s body was identified by the ring he wore.
[…] The official with the group known as the Popular Mobilization Forces said the dead included its airport protocol officer, identifying him as Mohammed Reda.
A security official confirmed that seven people were killed in the attack on the airport, describing it as an airstrike. Earlier, Iraq’s Security Media Cell, which releases information regarding Iraqi security, said Katyusha rockets landed near the airport’s cargo hall, killing several people and setting two cars on fire.
Statement from the Pentagon:
At the direction of the President, the U.S. military has taken decisive defensive action to protect U.S. personnel abroad by killing Qasem Soleimani, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force, a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.
General Soleimani was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region. General Soleimani and his Quds Force were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American and coalition service members and the wounding of thousands more. He had orchestrated attacks on coalition bases in Iraq over the last several months – including the attack on December 27th – culminating in the death and wounding of additional American and Iraqi personnel. General Soleimani also approved the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that took place this week.
This strike was aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans. The United States will continue to take all necessary action to protect our people and our interests wherever they are around the world.
