Barack, Francis, Hot Air and Social Justice

The United Nations is apparently now writing "climate change" encyclicals for the Vatican. On Monday, an Italian magazine leaked a draft copy of Pope Francis' 191-page address on the topic. Taking a page from the Left's playbook, the pope insists that curbing global warming is a moral imperative. "Humanity is called on to be aware of the need to change lifestyles, production and consumption," he says, because the world is filled with a "culture of waste." We are all for using energy judiciously and curbing waste, but not under the pretense of a UN-Vatican mandate. The encyclical coincides with nObama's announcement this week of his plans for more climate "executive actions" in order to bypass Congress. Like nObama, the Pope has long advocated for liberation theology, a doctrine similar to that propagated by nObama's religious mentor, Jeremiah Wright, and other Marxist promoters of "social justice." Many Catholics in the U.S. take strong exception to the pope acting as a water boy for the UN. Big-government statists at the UN welcome the pope's statement, as it may assist with the UN's global climate treaty negotiations at the upcoming Paris summit — a treaty which would be more accurately called a "global economic control" treaty. nObama insists, "If I can encourage and gain commitments from the Chinese to put forward a serious plan to start curbing their greenhouse gases, that then allows us to leverage the entire world." However, Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) made clear that neither he nor his Republican colleagues are drinking nObama's Kool-Aid: "The Senate is not going to ratify any international climate treaty that continues this trend [centralizing the global economy]."

nObama May Fundamentally Transform Economy
The n Obama administration claims that the money dropping into the U.S. debt hole has declined. Jobs are up. The economy is coming back. (Y'know, except for those pesky winters.) But the reports are coming in that counter the administration's propaganda. First, the Congressional Budget Office issued a report Tuesday claiming that, if left unchecked, the U.S. debt will become much, much worse. "The long-term outlook for the federal budget has worsened dramatically over the past several years, in the wake of the 2007-2009 recession and slow recovery," the CBO said in its report. The debt could double by 2040 if left unchecked. It's a massive problem, almost too large for any politician in Washington to recognize, but one that will affect the economic vitality of the nation far into the future. Part of the problem is that entitlement spending is going to increase as the baby boomer generation heads into retirement. As for the generation that's supposed to keep entitlement spending going, millennials have entered the job market at the lowest part of the recession. According to statistics blog Five Thirty Eight, that generation holds more personal debt, makes less money and owns fewer and less expensive homes. Furthermore, because millennials entered the job market in a tough economic time, they will make less money over the course of their careers. Thank to his administration's shenanigans, Barack nObama could have the legacy of fundamentally transforming the American economy. -The Patriot Post

Hilly, The Miser
In 2014, Hilly Clinton spoke at a Boys and Girls Club fundraiser. Like most of the "dead broke" politician's speeches, this one was for a fee: $200,000. Usually, a speaker appearing at a nonprofit will charge a fee and then donate it back, especially if it's a smaller organization. That's what Condoleezza Rice did when she spoke at the Boys and Girls Club in 2009. But not Clinton. She turned around and deposited the check into the Clinton Foundation. Politico reports, "[F]undraising experts and people affiliated with some nonprofits on the list — including the Boys and Girls Club — grumbled that the hefty price tag for securing a Clinton speech is a significant drain on small charities' fundraising and that community-based nonprofits could put the money to better use." Furthermore, Clinton's campaign is running off the work of full-time interns who work for free. The Guardian reports that the people taking these jobs are seasoned politicos who wish to enter Clinton's good graces. How can she talk about a bad economy and a wage gap when she doesn't take care of the people working to get her elected? Remember, this is the same Hilly Clinton that said, "I don't think Americans are against success, I think they're against people who get on top of the ladder and starts pulling it up so that nobody else has the same chance that they had. ... Those of us who do have opportunities how to be doing more to help other people do the same."

DEMS TOY WITH BERNIE AS HILLY SEES SWING STATE
DROP
The bad news for Hilly Clinton today comes in two polls.
One is from New Hampshire that shows Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders getting to within 10 points of Clinton and another that shows her trailing in must-win Ohio and knotted up against less-known potential GOP rivals in swing states Florida and Pennsylvania.
The New Hampshire poll tells us that Democrats are thinking this election is in the bag and are indulging themselves with the idea of offering symbolic support for a self-described socialist who favors a policy list that would make swing and independent blanch. Trillions of spending and new taxes on everything from free college to global warming are not winners for debt-averse, economically insecure suburbanites.
Republican voters, after two heartbreaking quadrennial elections, are kicking old habits with an eye on retaking the White House. Democrats, though, may be trying to get back on the Hopium in a misplaced belief that their victory is inevitable. If Democratic voters get Sanders into the discussion with Clinton and potentially even force her to adopt even more of his far-out positions, the party will be badly damaging its chances.
Driven substantially by her falling trustworthiness, Clinton finds herself in trouble compared to three months ago in Quinnipiac University’s swing-state poll. Clinton does best on Florida (not good news for either of the favorite sons running there) but in all three, the results are fairly consistent.
Take Ohio. In March, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was trailing Clinton by 9 points. This week, it’s down to 1 point. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker trailed in a head-to-head matchup by 11 points. Now it’s 4 points. Sens. Marco Rubio and Rand Paul improved by 6 points and 5 points, respectively. And the state’s Gov. John Kasich went from a 1-point deficit in January to a 7-point advantage today.
Some if this is a result of Clinton’s policy changes and efforts to identify herself as a partisan figure and a very liberal one at that, but another part is that voters increasingly distrust her. But the net effect is to damage her standing with general-election voters.
And herein we see another problem with “inevitable” candidates: They struggle to get their parties in line because they lack the powerful political motivator of fear. -Fox News

Reign of Terror: Inside the Islamic State
(Robert Spencer) ~ The Islamic State’s caliphate turns one year old on June 29, and few inside its domains, aside from the true believers who have traveled all over the world to live in the Islamic promised land, are likely to be celebrating... Like all totalitarian states, it has swiftly established for its citizens an environment of oppression and fear, supported (in a new twist) not by a personality cult centered upon the specter of a ubiquitous, all-seeing, all-knowing leader, but by the guilt-manipulation of religious duty. Obey the Islamic State’s dictates, no matter how egregious, or else you’ll not just be tortured and brutally murdered, but you’ll burn in hell besides. And so those deemed to be ideologically deviant are not labeled “counterrevolutionaries” or “imperialist running dogs” or “capitalist roaders,” but “heretics,” and are made to carry “repentance cards.” http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/robert-spencer/reign-of-terror-inside-the-islamic-state/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=4dd50b108b-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-4dd50b108b-156509103

Hilly and Huma Abedin
Time for Huma Abedin to Come Out of the Shadows
(Joseph Klein) ~ Huma Abedin, Hilly Clinton’s longtime confidante, is currently the vice chair of her 2016 presidential campaign. “I’m not sure Hilly could walk out the door without Huma,” Clinton adviser Mandy Grunwald said back during the days of Hilly’s first run for the presidency... Huma and Hilly are inseparable, including having been linked together on a private e-mail network while Ms. Clinton was Secretary of State and Ms. Abedin was her deputy chief of staff. If Hilly Clinton were to be elected president of the United States, Ms. Abedin will no doubt be right there with Hilly as her right hand person in the White House. And that may well be a major coup for the Muslim Brotherhood, whose strategic plan calls for destroying Western civilization from within and “‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers…” In view of her background that involves the Muslim Brotherhood, it is time for Huma Abedin to come out of the shadows and reveal exactly what she did and whom she communicated with while at the Clinton State Department. http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/joseph-klein/time-for-huma-abedin-to-come-out-of-the-shadows/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=4dd50b108b-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-4dd50b108b-156509103

8 false assumptions that undercut US Iraq policy
(Michael Rubin) ~ US policy toward Iraq is floundering. While President nObama’s strategy to degrade and defeat the Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL, Daesh) has failed, partisan aspersions... blaming Bush for the initial Iraq invasion or nObama for allowing the Islamic State to resurrect itself by withdrawing precipitously and then ignoring Syria—do not substitute for a strategy to counter the problems emanating from Iraq today. When it comes to policy formation, however, garbage in leads to garbage out. A strategy that is based on false assumptions about Iraq will only make matters worse. Over at Commentary, I take on eight myths and assumptions about Iraq that corrupt policy formation. http://www.aei.org/publication/8-false-assumptions-that-undercut-us-iraq-policy/?utm_source=paramount&utm_medium=email&utm_content=AEITODAY&utm_campaign=061915

Clinton Proposes “Revenue Enhancements” for America
(totalconservative.com) ~ Sometimes it’s refreshing and instructive to take a step back from the microanalysis of every little thing our politicians say, put the scandals back in the closet, and remember that a tax-and-spend Democrat by any other name… Hilly Clinton has determined that income inequality will be her big message for 2016, and she is already peeling back the onion to give voters a peek at her plans. Does she have some revolutionary idea that will finally close the gap between the 1% and the rest of the country? Well, no, although she has adopted a nice new code phrase that we can probably expect to hear a few thousand times over the next year. The phrase is “revenue enhancements,” and it was used by Clinton Press Secretary Brian Fallon yesterday on Twitter. According to him, these revenue enhancements will be used to boost federal programs like universal preschool. And what are these revenue enhancements, pray tell? Why, they are tax hikes, of course! What else would you expect from a liberal Democrat?

nObama Confuses White House For Prison
(Patrick Howley) ~ President Barack nObama accidentally compared himself to a prisoner stuck in the White House while speaking at a Beverly Hills fundraiser at filmmaker Tyler Perry’s house Thursday... “We should be reforming our criminal justice system in such a way that we are not incarcerating nonviolent offenders in ways that renders them incapable of getting a job after they leave office,” nObama said, effectively comparing being in prison to being in office.“Little slip of the tongue there. Little Freudian slip,” nObama said after making his gaffe. “Tyler is going to give me a job once I leave.” http://dailycaller.com/2015/06/19/obama-confuses-white-house-for-prison/

SPLC Issues Hit List of U.S. Women Against Sharia Law
(pamelageller.com) ~ It’s the summer special from the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), an extremist nonprofit that lists conservative organizations that disagree with it on social issues on a catalogue of “hate groups.”... A few years ago a gunman received a 25-year prison sentence for carrying out the politically-motivated shooting of the Family Research Council (FRC) headquarters after admitting that he learned about the FRC from the SPLC “hate map.” Prosecutors called it an act of terrorism and recommended a 45-year sentence. Now the SPLC, which has conducted diversity training for the nObama Department of Justice (DOJ), is targeting female bloggers, activists and television personalities who refuse to comply with Sharia law which is rooted in the Quran. The European Court on Human rights has repeatedly ruled that Sharia is “incompatible with the fundamental principles of democracy” yet politically-connected radical Muslim groups—such as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR)—keep pushing to implement it in the United States and the movement has gained steam. Among those resisting this effort publicly are the high-profile women being targeted by the SPLC. Some of them are colleagues or friends of Judicial Watch and now they must fear for their safety simply for practicing their rights under the U.S. Constitution. The new hate list is titled Women Against Islam/The Dirty Dozen and includes illustrations and detailed information on all the women, who are branded “the core of the anti-Muslim radical right.” The new SPLC hate brochure further targets them by claiming that they’re “a dozen of the most hardline anti-Muslim women activists in America.” http://pamelageller.com/2015/06/splc-issues-hit-list-of-u-s-women-against-sharia-law.html/

ISIS member destroying a Christian tombstone
Muslim Persecutions of Christians
(Raymond Ibrahim) ~ On April 2 in Kenya, gunmen from the Somali Islamic group, Al Shabaab -- "the Islamic youth" -- stormed Garissa University, singled out Christian students, and murdered them, beheading some... A total of 147 people were killed in the attack -- making this jihad more "spectacular" than the 2013 Al Shabaab attack on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, which left 67 people dead (then too, Islamic gunmen singled out Christians for slaughter). Islamic gunmen were careful to separate Christians from Muslims before beginning the carnage, eyewitnesses said. (While Kenya is 83% Christian, it still has an 11% Muslim minority.) Collins Wetangula, vice chairman of the student union, said he could hear, from inside his room where he was hiding, the gunmen opening doors and inquiring if the people inside were Muslims or Christians. "If you were a Christian you were shot on the spot. With each blast of the gun I thought I was going to die." Al Shabaab has a long history of singling out Christians from among Muslims for slaughter (hereare four examples). Other jihadi groups, including Boko Haram and the Islamic State, also make it a point to select out Christians before slaughtering them -- a fact often omitted by the "mainstream media." http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/6001/islamic-persecution

UN Climate Tool DiCaprio Launches “Grass Roots” Energy Scam
(rickwells.us) ~ DiCaprio, who is second only to Al Gore in “do as I say not as I do” energy wasting and haranguing, declared, “This is a grassroots people’s movement, but the ambition of this movement is absolutely revolutionary... Clean energy grows local economies.” Grassroots means he’s not putting any of his own money in the game, just his name and probably funds from a federal grant somewhere along the way. Pagesix.com reported that DiCaprio stated in the launch that “The clean energy movement was no longer about politics, but humanity.” So DiCaprio admits we were right to see through the fraud before, when the politicians told us it was about the environment. It was about politics then, but now things are different. They’re sincere now, it’s about humanity. Now the humanity theme is being played up big. It’s likely being coordinated with DiCaprio’s comrades at the UN in conjunction with Pope Francis’ encyclical. It’s all part of a coordinated assault on the disorganized sheep of the world to herd us into green little cages. The wise Mr. DiCaprio declared “This is a grassroots people’s movement, but the ambition of this movement is absolutely revolutionary. Clean energy grows local economies.” Mr. DiCaprio was never educated beyond home schooling his last year of high school. It’s possible he is a self-taught energy and economic expert, but not likely. If he is then he’s exposed himself as a liar because green energy is cost and energy negative. It requires traditional, coal, natural gas or other methods of “carbon based” energy as a backup for when the sun doesn’t shine or the wind doesn’t blow. A move to “clean energy” actually requires more production to achieve the same levels of capacity. http://rickwells.us/un-climate-tool-dicaprio-launches-grass-roots-energy-scam-on-heels-of-pope-encyclical/

Uighur rights groups say China’s restrictions on Islam in Xinjiang have added to violent ethnic tensions in the region
China bans Ramadan fasting due to celebrations
(themuslimissue.wordpress.com) ~ China has banned civil servants, students and teachers in its mainly Muslim Xinjiang region from fasting during Ramadan and ordered restaurants to stay open... Most Muslims are required to fast from dawn to dusk during the holy month, which began on Thursday, but China’s ruling Communist party is officially atheist and for years has restricted the practice in Xinjiang, home to the mostly Muslim Uighur minority. “Food service workplaces will operate normal hours during Ramadan,” said a notice posted last week on the website of the state Food and Drug Administration in Xinjiang’s Jinghe county. Officials in the region’s Bole county were told: “During Ramadan do not engage in fasting, vigils or other religious activities,” according to a local government website report of a meeting this week. Each year, the authorities’ attempt to ban fasting among Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang receives widespread criticism from rights groups.

Pope Joins nObama in Perpetrating The Greatest Fraud Of All Time
(rickwells.us) ~ The Agenda 21 cause of global enslavement would normally be a tough sell, but some people are unwilling to believe that the very people they most admire are the ones they should be most leery of... That is true of Hussein nObama and his destructive influence on minority Americans and it is true of Catholics with Pope Francis. The video provides a general overview of what is behind the climate change encyclical that Pope Francis issued last Thursday, and the obvious timing intended to move public opinion towards global Marxism and taxation under the United Nations. They note how the involvement of the Pope in the fraud of climate change in the pursuit of a global communism is to somehow provide moral authority, though it is illogical that a true man of God would work to enslave people to an atheist ideology. http://rickwells.us/pope-francis-joins-obama-in-perpetrating-the-greatest-fraud-of-all-time-worldwide/

(burtprelutsky.com) ~ The role of the police in 2015 America has suddenly become such a contentious issue that even presidential candidates have been forced to offer comments. Not too surprisingly, Hilly Clinton has opted to come out on the same side as Barack nObama, Eric Holder, Loretta Lunch, Al Sharpton, Bill Di Blasio and the lizard ladies of Baltimore, Marilyn Mosby and Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, in favor of the rioters and in opposition to the cops..
But that’s not too surprising if you’ve read Ron Kessler's books about the Secret Service in which he quotes past and present agents discussing Mrs. Clinton’s open contempt for the military and the members of law enforcement, including, incredibly, even those responsible for protecting her, Bill and Chelsea.

The sad fact is that the punishment never fits the crime. Even when it comes to murder, the killer generally gets off with a mere prison term. Besides, even if he’s executed, how can that make up for his killing and possibly raping and torturing his victim? And if he killed more than one person, the imbalance becomes even greater.

We know that if there were no risk of punishment, there would be even more murders committed. But we don’t know how big a deterrent capital punishment is because nobody ever announces how many people he didn’t murder because of it. What we do know is that certain people kill in spite of the risk.

However, when people do things just for the sake of annoying people, motivated not by a profit motive or even for revenge, but just because they’re punks -- be it hacking a stranger’s computer or spray painting somebody’s wall -- my guess is that they’d think twice about it if they risked being executed if caught.
