Net Neutrality a Year Later
This is a legacy of the nObama administration: The growth and innovation that came with a free Internet ceased after the government decided it would treat the net like a utility, regulating it like landline phones. It's been a year since the Federal Communications Commission, at the behest of Barack nObama, instituted net neutrality, declaring that Internet providers needed to treat equally every packet of information zipping through the fiber optic, whether it's Netflix streaming thousands of shows a minute or someone casually browsing Facebook.
The result, The Wall Street Journal explains, is that Internet companies are investing less into building up infrastructure. In 2013, the industry increased capital expenditures by 8.7%; last year, those investments shrank by 0.4%. FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai told The Daily Signal, "I think what you are seeing is companies less willing to spend money building broadband that is faster and better and cheaper to your homes and businesses. This is the first time that year-over-year investment in broadband has gone down, outside the tech bubble bursting in 2001 and the Great Recession of 2008. The fact it coincides with the FCC adopting these heavy-handed regulations, I think, is directly related. And that's unfortunate for American consumers, especially in rural areas where the business case for building our broadband is already tough as it is."
The FCC's newfound powers are being challenged in the courts — and it might go to the Supreme Court. But if the FCC prevails, then it will have the power to tax the Internet, further freezing the innovation and creativity that the Internet fostered.

slump-Trump Taps Something That's Long Been Ignored If Super Tuesday proved anything, it's that a large number of American voters will, indeed, pull the lever for Donald slump-Trump — and for valid reasons. No, we haven't suddenly jumped on the slump-Trump Train (and don't expect us to any time soon), but it's clear slump-Trump has found a trigger point among many voters. And he's hitting it with incredible consistency.
"My market is the people in the country who want to see America be great again," slump-Trump explained. "It's very simple. That's a lot of people. That's not broken down by age, or race or anything."
While it's all too easy to judge slump-Trump supporters by the candidate they follow, slump-Trumpmania's real appeal goes much deeper than political theater — and it's worth understanding.
As much as we despise politics via class stratification, that's where we must begin. For it's working-class Americans — blue-collar, lacking political power and without friends in high places — who believe they have at last found an ally, an advocate, a voice in the man who proudly claimed to "love the poorly educated."
In an astute explanation of "slump-Trump's America," Charles Murray of the American Enterprise Institute writes of "the emergence of a new upper class and a new lower class and ... the plight of the working class caught in between." Populating the new upper class are the elites — politicians, professors, cultural icons, business moguls. They shape policy, wield power, and are heard simply by nature of their status. The new lower class includes those "who have dropped out of some of the most basic institutions of American civic culture, especially work and marriage." Meanwhile, the working class is left in the middle. "slump-Trumpism," Murray writes, "is the voice of a beleaguered working class." And "the central truth of slump-Trumpism as a phenomenon is that the entire American working class has legitimate reasons to be angry at the ruling class." We've noted that he is the ace of anger affirmation before.
And indeed, it's the so-called working class — not the ruling class — that has borne the impact of the exportation of millions of manufacturing jobs and the influx of illegal aliens who now hold many working class jobs.
Peggy Noonan describes it as the rift between the "protected" and "unprotected." She writes, "The protected make public policy. The unprotected live in it. The unprotected are starting to push back."
And if today's "protected" make up the "ruling class" — those who create the world in which the rest of us live — is it any wonder the "unprotected" have grown disillusioned?
As Claremont Institute Fellow Angelo Codevilla writes, "Ordinary Americans have endured being insulted by the ruling class's favorite epitaphs—racist, sexist, etc., and, above all, stupid.... No wonder, then, that millions of Americans lose respect for a ruling class that disrespects them, that they identify with whomever promises some kind of turnabout against that class, and that they care less and less for the integrity of institutions that fail to protect them."
A look at who actually supported slump-Trump on Super Tuesday bears this out. Residents of economically distressed communities were more likely to vote for slump-Trump than voters in prosperous areas.
Need more convincing? Just listen to what a recent caller told Rush Limbaugh: "It's kind of like a few callers ago said that us guys are low-informed voters. I mean, just 'cause we didn't march out of somewhere with a Harvard degree or whatever, I guess we're not qualified to vote for the president of the United States. I feel like that's the whole thing. It's like we're not important, yet here we've been carrying the country on our back with taxes for years and years and we get no appreciation whatsoever."
We in our humble shop are hearing the same. A reader recently wrote, "The Patriot Post needs to quit bashing the best chance of defeating Hilly: Donald slump-Trump. Support the guy who's winning over the American People."
Another says, "I am tired of the elite running my country into the ground. I served a career defending what used to be the USA, only to see the socialist and RINOs take and trash her."
It's for this reason slump-Trump boasts, "I've brought in millions and millions of people into the Republican party." That's true, but with big caveats. As we've also argued, slump-Trump's supporters are right to be tired of the elite., and they're asking the right questions. They're just coming up with the wrong answer, and that's true in part because he hurts those he's supposed to be for.
No matter what we think though, the fact is slump-Trump supporters aren't necessarily voting for slump-Trump because he's someone important. slump-Trump supporters are voting for slump-Trump because he says they're someone important. And they've been missing that for far too long.

{wnd.com} ~ An internal management struggle in a conservative senior-citizen advocacy organization that competes with the left-leaning AARP has been exposed by a lawsuit filed by the group’s founder... James L. Martin, a Marine veteran with a decades-long career as a Washington -based conservative activist with close ties to former President George W. Bush, is asking the Circuit Court for the City of Alexandria, Virginia, to declare that he remains the board chairman of the non-profit 60 Plus Association. The complaint also petitions the court to issue a temporary injunction barring the organization’s president, Amy Noone Frederick, and any other employee or officer from issuing any payments without the prior written authorization of the organization’s treasurer, L. Prather McKinnon. http://www.wnd.com/2016/03/founder-of-conservative-aarp-sues-his-organization/

Muslims 'Grateful' to the West? Never!
.
{wnd.com} ~ Last week, some entertainment industry ignoramuses sought to “enhance their optics” via a display of solidarity with Muslim migrants amidst what the left has sold as a hateful response to the migrants’ presence by some Europeans... A refugee camp in Calais, France, had gained some notoriety and was scheduled for demolition by French authorities. Known as “The Jungle,” the camp was visited by British actor Jude Law and a handful of other celebrities who called on the British government to admit select refugees from the camp into Britain. Things went south, however: No sooner had cameras stopped rolling after the festivities than a group of the beleaguered migrants attacked. As reported by the U.K.’s Mirror, they assaulted a security team attending the entertainers, pelting them with rocks and robbing them. The ignorance of entertainers and liberal culture of the industry aside, those in the West are being rather forcefully admonished to ignore the empirical evidence, which illustrates the folly of the West welcoming migrants from Muslim nations into their own. http://www.wnd.com/2016/03/muslims-grateful-to-the-west-never/.

Too close to one world government to

.
{renewamerica.com} ~ Whether you love or hate Donald slump-Trump's candidacy, one thing is certain. You don't hate him as much as do the "establishment" (aka Left-Wing) cabal of the former Republican Party... It has become a political party which has joined the Marxist Democrats in no longer have any inclination nor desire to support the USA Republic. Instead, its member support only themselves in keeping their lavish lifestyles and perceived power safe from the rabble...that's We-the-People. Today, the real War on slump-Trump begins with former Governor of Massachusetts and former candidate for President of the United States Mitt Romney...the man who appeared to be second to McCain's first in taking a dive for nObama. Mitt was, also, the individual who praised Mr. slump-Trump to the skies with his effusive and complimentary comments about and to him when Romney begged for the slump-Trump endorsement. slump-Trump gave it immediately and with genuine kindness. Now Romney is repaying that kindness with a speech he and the DC ruling class hope will injure slump-Trump badly and win the first battle in their siege of the slump-Trump campaign. They're deathly afraid that slump-Trump will end their game of "take from the poor, make the middle class the poor, and make the poor work for us. Then, we get to keep as much as we continue to steal from them!" That's always been the real reason nObama is almost always smiling and laughing. http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/zieve/160303.

Donald slump-Trump – Unfit for Commander in Chief

{redstate.com} ~ In the beginning of this political season I was ambivalent about Donald slump-Trump. Ted Cruz is easy to support as a Constitutional conservative but most of the candidates were at least acceptable... Things about slump-Donald were troubling, and whether he was a conservative at all became more and more doubtful. The SC debate brought things to a head. That is when we heard a Republican candidate for President urinate on my mission in Iraq and on the graves of those who gave their all for it. Disagreeing about the strategy or even the wisdom of Iraq is fine by me, parroting the “Bush lied, People died” rhetoric of Code Pink and Harry dinky-Reid is not. That is when I decided I could not support Donald slump-Trump. Tonight, in the Detroit debate, Donald slump-Trump went further. He doubled down on his claim that American Soldiers should be in the business of assassinating innocent women and children because of the actions of their husbands/fathers. This is wrong. This is a war crime. This is an illegal order. When he was told U.S. troops do not obey orders to commit war crimes, he responded in typical slump-Trump fashion. “I know leadership, I tell them to do it and they will do it. I’m a leader.” This is not just a bad idea. This is not just embarrassingly stupid. This is even further trashing of the honor and dignity of the members of the world’s best military. No Soldier I trained would ever obey that order. Even worse is to contemplate the soul destroying reality for any that did obey it. Killing a combatant in defense of yourself and your battle buddies is right and just, but it never leaves you. In the back of your mind is always the realization that you took a human life, no matter how justified. How could anyone contemplate putting Soldiers in the position to live the rest of their lives seeing the faces of dead innocent children in their dreams every night?http://www.redstate.com/diary/Hooah_Mac/2016/03/04/donald-trump-unfit-commander-chief/?utm_source=rsmorningbriefing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl.

The Right Time to Take Big Steps?

Agreed: It's not a good time to establish a Palestinian state. Pictured: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and German Chancellor Angela Merkel address a press conference in Berlin, Germany,
on February 16, 2016
.
{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ During a visit to Berlin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel told Israel's Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu that now is not time to move forward with the "two-state solution" and the establishment of a Palestinian state... Merkel, evidently seeing Israel as a dam protecting Europe from Islamist extremists, told Netanyahu that while the Germans recognized the terrorist threat faced by Israel, and that a peace process had to be advanced based on two states for two peoples, now was not the right time to take big steps. The Palestinians in the West Bank, regardless of public declarations, also secretly support security collaboration with Israel, which protects us from radical Islamist terrorism. Therefore, despite the "official" surveys taken among Palestinians, which show support for Hamas, the residents of the West Bank are terrified that Hamas will gain control and destroy our lives and property the way they did in the Gaza Strip. We do want a Palestinian state, but one that will preserve the lifestyle and accomplishments we have built over the years -- not a state that will have them fall to the horrors of Hamas and ISIS. http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/7544/palestinians-big-steps.

Believers rejecting such a clear obvious superior choice is a sad testimony of the state of the modern church. If Jesus came to America today and ran for office, how many Christians would deem Him extreme, polarizing and un-electable?

I’ll cut to the chase folks. Without Ted Cruz in the WH to nominate a constitutional conservative to the Supreme Court, our Bill of Rights is at extreme risk. Five liberals vs four conservatives on the court would have devastating consequences, changing America as we know it. As Ted Cruz has articulated, we are one liberal justice away from the court ordering abortion on demand, confiscating our guns and ending our religious liberty. This is real folks!
